Jim Kovaleski really needs everyone's help to save the Farm. With the recent passing of his Mother, the home may get sold, but Jim wants to pass the torch to Tanner and his family. There are big monetary obstacles that would prevent that from happening (without the aid of the community). He needs your help!!
To donate please visit the GoFundMe here: tinyurl.com/SaveJimsFarm

Let tanner move into jims house..mortage the one next door to pay off his brother and turn it into a garden fresh air b&b with positive income. Teach hands on gardening to vacationers who visit. Jim could still come down in the winter.

Jim would be buying the two properties and homes; helping Tanner and his family so they can afford it, and continuing on what he has provided for the community and the families and people he has helped supply nutrient-dense, great-tasting farm-fresh produce each week. This would be helping Jim, Tanner and his family, and the community.

"Tanner" is his brother?
@Mike-ki7zt
@Mike-ki7zt Год назад
What does "helping Tanner" mean and "afford" what? This video and comment are deliberately obscuring information. What sounds like is happening is that Jim wants to own both properties. The 350K will go to pay off his brother. Then he wants to LEASE the properties, arguably "below market value," to Tanner who can't afford to buy them either nor pay market rent but will be making money selling veggies. This is a money-making deal for Jim even though you're making it sound like he is GIVING the properties to Tanner out of the goodness of his heart and love of soil. He wants to continue making money off the farm while he's not there. Will he be earning not just the below market rent but also a cut of the farm proceeds? Perhaps together the earnings total more than market value of simply renting out the properties? Very obscure. Very deliberately obscure. Go Fund Me is supposed to be for non-profit and self-less ventures. For what Jim is doing, he needs to get a loan. With all that bragging he did, he must have a lot of money saved up to get that loan. "Saving" the farm is also a lie since the loan is going to happen no matter what, and this video is to see how much he can ease that loan burden. Unless he can afford the 350K on his own but hates seeing his nest egg he spent a hard time earning go straight to his brother. And you happen to have a manipulation angle here and you know it. THAT is what angers me so much. "Oh I'm helping the community." Thinking everyone is so stupid. Go ahead and delete this comment. Because that means you READ it, and know that if I KNOW this, then others do too but aren't bothering to write it up in a neat paragraph for you.

Jim has inspired me immensely. I'm coming out of a situation where I lost everything but my dogs, so sadly unless I get a windfall there is little I can contribute monetarily, but I will share the video to folks that might not otherwise see it. I hope for the best and continue to learn. I have a scythe and do grass fed gardens now because of Jim. No where near as well, but then I also don't have good grass or weather here in Texas...

One Love to Jims Mom, Jim and his family. I found Jim through the justin Rhodes farm tour videos back in 2020, it changed my life, I've been keeping up with petes videos since. I now use the grass fed system to the fullest extent on my garden/mini farm. And make sure to share the grass fed system and what it is all about to my community or anyone who is interested. I Think one of Jim's most important lesson's is how he explain's not becoming dependent apon the gas line infrastructure by sticking to hand tools and a manable size. These FL update video's really help me and i'm sure others to get through the winter. We Need that Farm update video when you get a chance , now that it's all grown in from the last update. Jim and Tanner 2023 it's got to be rocking really good and i bet jim didnt take as bad of a hit with the freeze.

I like Jim but I'm a little confused. What's the 350k for exactly? One property or two? I was under the impression Jim owns one and his brother owns the other next door. And I don't think single homes in the area are going for that price currently.. so does the brother actually own both or is he asking for donations on both properties even though he owns one? The video implies the brother only owns the mother's house. Maybe I misunderstood. Jim said in this video "if we can't make this happen then I can cash in on this one and my brother could too and the farm would discontinue." And my other question is tanner getting both houses too? Jim made it sound like he wants to move to Maine. No disrespect, I'm just trying to figure this out. Sorry for the loss of his mother, I know it's a very emotional time. Took me years after my father's death.

I agree if we each put in $2 there would be more than enough funding! I know I've gotten a lot more than $2 worth of knowledge AND inspiration from Jim's beautiful designs. Another idea that is just coming to mind, if Jim could put some of his knowledge into some sort of e-book, and sell it for say $5 a copy, I'm sure he could raise that money in no time at all, and then have some left for whatever new project he has in mind, or to retired after all the hard work! I would think it would take a long time for him to write down ALL he has learned over the years, but a short little collection of gems will do, and there wouldn't be a huge cost to publishing it (other than his time and maybe an editor?) if you do an e-book. All of us who have benefited from his knowledge for free all this time would be happy to have at least some of it in writing.

Also you have a child, do you not wish to have something to pass onto her, in the future? Tanner could purchase your brother’s house and utilise your land to continue the gardening as such. You have a debt free house and land, with a business on the property ie: your garden and you worked hard to get to this point in your life, I would be thinking about my child and wife/partner first. Food for thought.

I’m not normally one to donate to many things (outside of cancer research) But I’m 100% in for Jim doing this, it’s not much but I’ve put in a little to go towards it. I always watch your videos with Jim & have gone back and rewatched them many times, he’s inspirational and you can clearly see his passion shine through. He is a whole vibe and the kind of garden inspiration many need. Urban farmer or not he inspires many

Pete, thanks a ton for bringing Jim and all his efforts and knowledge to us through your many videos of his work in both Florida and Maine. It is invaluable information shared. I learned organic farming back in 1965 in Novato, California from an retired Marine and have passed that on to countless people my entire life. The magic, peace, and beauty of growing one's own food is a precious gift. We will of course make a contribution towards furthering Jim's good work.

Hats off to Pete for helping!! Hearts poured for Jim for being such a corner stone in the neighborhood and farming family. The wealth of knowledge is not found in books or the internet. His experience is priceless! So happy to hear he is will to help Tanner and his family.

I haven’t even given my own sons money to buy there own home. Sadly not going to help others before them. Tanner needs to go and set himself up like everyone else has to. It’s just reality.
