I like videos without music, because typically the music is annoying so I have to mute it, in which case I miss the narration, which is often the most interesting part. This video was perfect!
That's fantastic that the kids and dad started organizing on their own. I bet they'll work hard to maintain their home once you've given them a fresh start. My heart goes out to you about your dog. it's never easy to say goodbye to our fur babies. Hopefully the camping trip will help you to take a break and begin to heal. Love your videos. Thank you for making the world a better place. 🥰
Yes, I was thrilled that they were doing that on their own. Hopefully the whole family can unite and keep it clean! Thanks for your condolences. I'm pretty attached to my doggo, so it's going to be tough, but bittersweet as I know it's time. A camping trip will be healing for sure. Thanks for your support!
You’re doing so well with your videos! Narration is just fine, and I too prefer no music! Sending hugs & prayers for tomorrow with your doggo.😔 Recharge and enjoy your camping trip.❤️
Thank you for your support! A camping trip will be nice to just get away and do something with the fam! Something about being in nature really does just recharge you.
thank you for no music i always say voice over is a lot better i love your channel its always a pleasure to listen to your voice overs and all the people you help listening to how happy and grateful they are for your help keep on keeping on love from SCOTLAND🥰
Getting the kids involved was a brilliant idea. And it’s good for them to know whats involved in keeping their home tidy. You did a fabulous job and its obvious this family really appreciated it. Hope things go well for them
This was definitely one of the more rewarding experiences I had because the family was so invested in getting their home back in order, especially the mom. I was so proud of the steps she took to get things organized, even in between the times I was there. I was able to deliver a donated couch around Christmas time last year to replace all of those broken chairs, and she was so proud to show me how she had kept up her home. It did look really nice.😊
Really enjoyed watching this great video, which shows your wonderful organizing and cleaning skills. Also, I really like videos without music. Your channel should grow quickly, it is very well managed. Great job on helping this familyl!!!
Here for the talking! A big part of my cleaning problem is paralysis from the huge amount of decisions that need to be made. I love learning how you decide how to tackle things and in what order.
Thank you so much! And I'm so happy to see a jump in your subscribers today!!! I hope your channel takes off. Feel free to ask me any other questions you have. I'm still learning, too, but I'll help where I can. ❤❤
With all those craft supplies (you call it office supplies), books, games and toys it seems like they are trying to encourage the children to be creative. I’m glad you are also helping the kids by showing them how to clean and organize. They can be like an army of help to their parents now in keeping their home neater. They must appreciate everything you’ve done. Good work.
Yes, they definitely have plenty of crafting supplies to be very creative. I hope they use them...and then put them back where they belong of course! LOL!
I really love the talking better and also have birds and a blue fronted Amazon parrot! We want to see and hear you and the animals-birds included please💜💜
Lego gets EVERYWHERE. I never even played with it as a kid, and suddenly yes oh look! Lego piece! LEGO SNEAKERY! SO sorry about your dog, I hope you are all ok.
Lego sneakery...I love it! That's what it feels like. Somehow they end up in every room, even if you have never bought any! Thanks for the condolences. It's bittersweet, but it's time to let him go. 😪
Another great video🥰 You did an amazing job and it's nice to see that the kids and dad got involved too. You are great to help them like that. I'm a big fan of you and I wish you a lot of strength for the next cleaning💪 I'm already looking forward to the next video, I'm curious how you manage to clean the oven.
New subscriber. Awesome job and what a blessing you are to this family who has been through so much. I’m sure it made the kids proud to be part of it as well. Bless you for what you do!
thanks for doing this and sharing with us! I prefer no music and like hearing what you have to share. Your voice is kind and relaxing. Sorting though (and testing) all of those office supplies would have been so fun (to me)! I'm glad the family got involved to help out. I'm so sorry about your dog. 😞We love our pets and their lives are just too short.
Would be neat if you made an Amazon Wish List of items that you need for these cleaninings and to recover from them: Cleaning supplies, garbage bags, knee pads, shoes, items to help you recover & rejuvinate
That is so nice of you to suggest. I have thought about it, but it feels weird to ask for that stuff. I guess it's really no different than the Super Thanks button though and just getting donations to support my work, so I will think about it. Thanks for the suggestion!
Hi! I have really been enjoying your videos! I prefer your narration over music. Bless you for helping these individuals. In addition to helping them, your videos have helped me get motivation to clean up my own piles. Thank you!
Great job editing this video! Although much of it was just sorting through trash and pens, pencils and papers, your narration kept it interesting. Talking about the different piles you sorted things into was helpful. Great work, and I was reminded of some decluttering, including a few bins, that I need to get back to. Thanks!
What a great job, the cleaning and getting the family involved. I'm sorry for your loss - I recently lost my dog, it's a tough but unselfish call to help them along. Hugs to you.
There should have been some support for that mother besides overloading dad. Church, SSI, insurance, family, something. I had sepsis and lucky for me the kids were grown and I had a pension from my job plus SS closing in so I burned up my SL and retired. Cognitive impairment is really tough and having a new baby, must have been really difficult. Bless you for helping her and maybe creating routines for the family.
I don't know exactly what happened right after the AFE, but I'm sure there was probably a lot of help initially from church/family/friends and then slowly things build up and it becomes the "norm" and then it's hard to ask for help once it gets to a certain point because it can be embarrassing. But you're right, it is hard for the other parent to take on so much when something like this happens. I think they are in a better space now. The oldest daughter is 19 and was really helping a lot and also getting her room cleaned up as well, so hopefully that keeps up!
Kid's toys and school supplies can get out of hand so quickly. The things you did to help them get organized, right down to removing the hair from the vacuum, was a huge help to them, I'm sure! I enjoy your commentary, by the way.
I am so sorry for the loss of your furr baby 💔 i hope you can still enjoy your camping trip . It hurts so much when they leave ... Thank you for helping this family!
I’m so happy the kiddos and the father joined in and helped. They probably love seeing the house get cleaned. I love that their children play the piano….bravo! Thank you for helping them
Wow, what a huge amount of work you did there! I'm glad you showed us your sorting categories; that's something most don't explain. Music is ok, but on many people's videos it's way too loud, and drowns out the voice-overs. I feel bad for the children who were living in that disaster. You are an angel to help. I would love to see you do the whole house. I'm glad the family was helping. Thank you for all you were doing! I'm so sorry about your sweet dog. That's heartbreaking to lose our loved ones. ❤
Thank you! I actually have three more videos of this house, so I do clean more than this living room. One is already out, called Teen Room Takeover where I help their ADHD son get his room back in order. This coming week is the oven cleaning I mentioned in this video, and the week after that will be the rest of the kitchen. I spent a total of 41 hours at this home and will be going back for a few hours another day because I told her I would come back to help with the rest of the kitchen after she went through a bunch of boxes and totes that were in there because a lot of it was papers that I wouldn't know what to do with. And thanks for your condolences. Yesterday was really hard. The hardest part is over, now it's time to heal.❤
@@ABeautifulMessExtremeCle-zl1wp I too am very sorry for the loss of your dog,our pets take up a lot of real estate in our hearts. I wanted to make a suggestion about the playlist titles. I’m sure many of us like to know that we’re watching the same house in the various videos, however,I already watched the teen room take back and thought it was part of the family who had to move out because of the carpet bugs. I think that if you kept the same initial title and then put Part Two,Part Three, etc.,we would be able to follow along better. Or keep the same title about the AFE survivor but then put “Teen’s Room Takeback”. Hope this makes sense and doesn’t come across as rude.
My Dad, Navy man, would have gone howling mad. He would have looked for the nearest me to spank. But in a couple of hours the house would be clean. Did I mention Navy man?
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. The slowed down speed is motivating. I like hearing you share about the people and the steps youre taking to organize and clean. Those children just needed to be shown how to organize. Awesome video. Thank u for sharing.❤❤❤
I enjoy your content so much. I still do whatever I can to make a difference -- so many reasons for our houses to fall apart. Such rewarding work -- it doesn't feel like work
You will know cat or dog come to you because needs care loving. Your dog ghost will stay look after you. Ghost dog probably want you take care homeless cat or dog.
you are so funny especially at 6:52 LOL, i am not sure about others, but I really enjoy your commentary on various things especially if its something about the person or family that you're helping and why they need it, and then throwing in tips and ideas on cleaning methods that work best, etc. its awesome!
Next house you get with that much carpet buildup use a shop vacuum or buy a professional backpack vac. The vacuum you are using is for floors that are vacummed all the time and have small buildup
These poor parents have really been through it. This is a really interesting video. + the kids r learning skills that last a lifetime. Your Oregon Viewer.
This family has gone through so much. You’re brilliant to help them. Delighted to see the kids sorting so much too. Keep up the great work. Really sorry to hear about your dog. It’s heartbreaking loosing a pet cause they are part of the family. Hope ye are all doing well. Mary, Joes wife 🙇♀️👏👍💪🙏💐
Oh, yeah, I think in songs and movie quote. Some people look at me Like what are you talking about. But I did have one friend who got me totally. Got me and sometimes we'd save the same phrase together at the same time
That is a huge sorting task for two parents that have disabilities to do it. Seems like the kids are best suited for the sorting, and dad because he did the cords. Pretty neat to see the family coming together in the ways they are able.
This family was really great to work with. The Mom especially was working so hard to make changes and was very supportive of me getting the family involved. I love these kind of situations because I have so much hope for them.!🥰🙏
I am so happy that I found your channel yesterday! I really enjoy watching you clean, it motivates me, as I am currently putting my life back in some kind of order after battling lung cancer! You truly inspire me, I love that you help these families for many different reasons. When I was a teenager I babysat many children for many different families. Once the children were in bed asleep, I would tidy up the house. Such as cleaning the dishes, sweeping floors, wiping down the counters, tidy up the living room and do laundry if they had some that needed to be done. The families would be so happy and thankful when the got home. They would say we don't have anything extra to pay you, I always told them that it wasn't expected. I did it because I enjoyed it... To this day I still enjoy helping people. It makes me feel good to do things for those that need a helping hand! Blessings to you and your husband! Also Blessings to all of the families that you help! 🙏
Hi! Great job of you and family! So sorry about your doggie. I had to put my cat Daisy Mae to sleep 2yrs ago. Our furbabies are our family. I hope the camping trip brings healing and good memories. 🙏🏾💖🙏🏾
Thank you! It's so hard, but he had a great long life full of love. So sorry about your Daisy Mae. Yes, being out in nature is very healing. Looking forward to the camping trip.
Children do not know how to tidy and sort with out instructions. It’s great that you are starting to teach them a skill. They can be taught to keep up with the maintenance schedule. At least set up a really rough decluttering schedule. Like decluttering before school starts and again before Christmas then spring cleaning
Sounds like a good plan. It's, of course, best if we can just have a daily habit of keeping things tidy, but we all get busy and clutter builds up. That seems like a reasonable schedule!
i just came across you channel...i found it is addictive lol..amazing on what you do for people, i couldn't do because of weak stomach...so many nasty messes but bless your heart you just keep going...GOD BLESS YOU for what you do
This family would be better having a complete house declutter and minimise the home. It would make it so much easier to keep clean & tidy and help with their issues 😊
I totally agree! That's what they are working toward. I filled about 12 bags of trash while I was there and the mom, who was working on going through totes of mostly paperwork, filled several more and sent a lot of stuff to the thrift store.
Hi Bonnie I'm a new subscriber and I just love your videos. I'm actually in New Zealand and I raised my 2 sons on my own while working full time and my home resembled this at times! Oh my gosh I had those exact same totes each full of the SAME stuff because every time i had visitors I would chuck anything lying around into a tote/basket/cardboard box. I'm sorry to hear about your dog, my beautiful old boy also had to be put down a few months ago. I hope yours and your family's hearts are healing. Sending love from New Zealand.
That's kind of how this homeowner described how the same types of things got into all the different totes. She said that she was just sick of the mess lying around and so she threw everything into multiple different totes and obviously didn't sort it before she did that so there were just a whole bunch of totes of all the same types of things. Thanks for watching from New Zealand!😊❤️
I have difficulty throwing away a pencil. As a kid we had one pencil that the whole family used. It was on the kitchen table and it was used for homework, lists, budgets, wages, whatever. If it wasn’t returned there everyone was upset. This was in the late 50’s and early 60’s, seems crazy now but that’s how it was. Good job Bonnie. Thank you.🙂
I can totally understand that. It's one of those things that's hard to get over when you feel like you are being wasteful by throwing away something that's perfectly useful when you grew up with so little.
I wish I could donate some file cabinets to them for the school papers and other various paperwork. Several years ago an elderly couple lived above us in a condo and had a home office with a lot of office furniture, the husband had died and his wife was giving away the office furniture as she was moving, I took one legal size file cabinet, I would have taken two but not enough room in my condo at that time. My mother saved some of my papers from kindergarten to second grade in the 1960's and it is fun to look at now. Getting the kids involved in the organizing was a great experience for them, love your videos!
Silly, not stupid, I am a new sub and enjoy your commentary. I personally don't have opinion about music or talking, I like what you are doing and this family, my goodness. Bless you for helping. Terrific job by the by. Sorry about your dog. Have a great camping trip.
Hi, firstly, great job! What you found during your sorting, was actually called a 'disc-man' used in the nineties and in the 80's the 'walk man' which was also a portable device but using tapes instead. Lol. A bit of trivia for the young ones, like yourself! By the way I don't mind the narration and I don't mind if you don't have music, it's fun to hear the noises of cleaning as well as the visual. Thanks!
Oh, you're right! I remember that now. I'm not even that young (45), but something I do remember now. It even says it right on the device if I would just read it...haha!
22:30 I have that same Toshiba laptop in my 'to go' pile as I need to remove some things off it first. I did take a box of electronics for recycling last week though, so that's good. (I am hoping to put my house on the market)
Go you! I think that's one of the hardest things for me is letting go of old electronics because "what if they have a picture on it I had forgotten about?" etc., but then I'm like, "if I've forgotten about it, why would I miss it?" 😄 Still, it's one area that is hard for me.
I remember hearing about the Babysitter books. My children read the Goosebumps books. And if people have Legos in their home I can guarantee they have stepped on one without shoes on. I like both the music for your videos and your voice. It’s a bit of nostalgia when you find things I can relate to. Wow, the children did a great job sorting everything out. And testing the markers and pens to make sure they work was a great idea! Great job Bonnie! 😊
ps, as i watched you vacuum, i thought of my last house in california before i came east. we lived beside a gravel drive and there was so much sand and tiny gravel tracked in (no more than 15 ft. from the driveway) i had to vacuum in 2 or 3 directions as the carpet was a shag type. (this was 45 yrs ago) back and forth then side to side and back and forth again from the opposite direction. it was awful. sounded good to my ears though.
With our shedding dog, plus the fact that she tracks in a lot of sand and dirt, we are vacuuming all the time! I don't mind, though, because it's pretty satisfying to see how much stuff comes up.😁
