I saw Mr. Brown with Return to Forever during fusion's hey day and he was truly a force of nature! When he says here he's done the work he ain't lyin'! Phenomenal player.
you saw him that period..?, of the double live album and music magic..., for me this 2 albums have some of the best drumming era..., he played the north drum kit when you saw him with rtf?, totally amazing!
Too fun! What a resume Mr. Brown has. I had to go back and stop the video so that I could read all of the people he's played with. Incredible. If BDC is signing him to their roster, that's a pretty big win for them. And yes, BDC is making some absolutely slamming birch drums. Great job by Shane and the crew demonstrating the DCP difference in customer service!
I remember seeing this guy in a vid from the 80’s I think. It was filmed in a giant church. He was incredible, spinning his sticks around. I think that was the first time I saw that. As for the British Drums, I checked some out at this store in Portland, Or and they sounded great! Awesome vid guys!
I've admired Gerry Brown in this video too at the time. I'm still having the VHS tape i've recorded from TV in the 80's. It was the series "Super Druming" with Pete York, which has introduced druming in general and all kind of top drummers, like Gerry Brown, Simon Phillips, Louie Bellson, Ian Pace, Gozy Powell etc. One highlight, for instance was... Louie Bellson and Simon Phillips, two different generations, are having tons of fun in a duell....just awesome. Must watch!
Wow. Gerry Brown is So Great . the " Drum Hall of Fame". Absolutely True. DCP. 🎉🥁👍 Congratulations to Gerry on Joining the British Drum Company Family. Thank You So Much Shane and Gang For Setting the Standard for Excellence, Hospitality, and Making Drummers Dreams Come True. Outstanding. 🎉🥁👍
I met Jerry at a workshop in PGH back when he was playing with Lionel Ritchie in the 80s.Hey gave me a Sabian splash that I still have.He has an amazing resume' and was super friendly.
I always get the coolest like, cigar shop vibes from DCP. Like where they do one thing and they do it very well. The people working know exactly what they have to offer and how to find something that fits everyone’s tastes and budget.
I’m hoping to have time to drop by DCP when I play Jimmy’s Jazz & Blues with Coco Montoya on August 11th. Would great to finally meet Shane and check out the incredible selection there.
@@robmiller817@alkingborn4620 not entirely true. Premier are a legendary brand for all they managed to achieve in their history, from 1922 to today. You're referencing Keith Keough, and rightly so, he had a big effect on Premier while he was there. Only he did less than a decade with the brand before starting BDC so I don't think you can really say that the 'people who made premier...premier' have left per se. They have come through major trials and tribulations and don't even make in the UK currently, but they still exist and will return stronger than ever. Give them time, legends never die.
Loved the video, loved the snares and Gerry was amazing. The one thing that stuck out to me was the Paiste PSTX!! loved it. I can't afford the snares but I can afford that cymbal. Great video thank you so much!!
Aside from the legend Gerry Brown, British Drum Company has turned into one of my favorite sounding brands. Unique enough to stand out with a traditional yet modern sound.
Quick editorial note. I really enjoy this format of breaking up some of the product demonstration with commentary. It really helps create more of a story instead of just product demonstration. This may not be new, but I’ve really noticed lately. Great job editors!
