[Helping Hand #45] "Dear Pet Rock" by Hack695 // Review 

Welcome to the new series on my channel, in which I will look at and review some overlooked or unrated levels, with the goal of helping the creators in getting them rated in the end.

This is another first for this channel, as we are looking at an auto level today. I got this sent to me by a friend and it looked really cute, so I thought I could give it a place on the channel.
Its really hard to judge a level like this for its decoration, as it is an animation, similar to a lyrics video. So the main things that are to be judged here are the visuals in general, which are all very charming overall and also put together very nicely. I do like how smooth everything looks, it represents the song very well, something super important for a level like this, and is also quite varied in the way it depics certain parts of the song, so it doesn't get boring watching. I am a big fan of how the pet rock mentioned in the song is depicted in the level, it's very cute and gives the level a lot of charm. My main point of critique here is that the level is a bit too short in my opinion and also doesn't do a whole lot to stand out between the other levels with similar themes. With how many levels like this exist new it is very important to make your own stand out, which I think could have been done a bit better here. Thats really the only negative thing I have to say about it, I am a fan of the rest and I think it looks very nice for what it is.
Overall I am not sure what I would do with this level if I got it sent to me if I was a mod as I do like the visuals, but I don't think it stands out enough among the other levels that approach the "lyrics video in GD" type of level as well. I am not sure in what way improvements could be made here, but in its current state I would probably give it a star rate, with another reason for it being the levels too short length in my opinion. I do think the level is super cute though and has a lot of charm, but it's not quite unique enough for me to send it for anything else. The creator is also very talented and has released some really nice projects recently, so I am looking forward to what they bring us next.
