Today I went searching for a missing father and son who drowned in the river. I wanted to share my experience with everyone on RU-vid to help promote who dangerous rivers and lakes can be. Make sure you guys always have a PFD on if you're in or by the river. Please check out the GoFundMe fundraiser I created. I'm hoping with the help from my amazing fans here on RU-vid we can help someone in my community. Thank you!!
wouldn't be surprised if you and your friends sometime in the future get an award for helping the police so much. What you do is very kind and you always handle serious situations well.
This had to be difficult. R.I.P. to the father and his young son. Poor mother. I can only imagine how difficult it must be to not only lose a young child, but her husband too. I would be absolutely devastated. Bless your heart man.💔
During the hurricane we had a missing teenager at our hotel that I was working at I was off work at the moment and when I came down to check to see if they needed help checking in people my manager came to me and said we're trying to locate a missing teenager I asked if I could help and we searched all over the hotel anyone I ran into I asked whether she had been seen or if she sees anyone to please alert the front desk The police ended up finding her out towards the lake alive and well thankfully but it's a pretty scary situation to know that somebody's life could possibly be depending on you and your help thank you guys for helping them out. You don't know how appreciative their family is because of that
Thank you for trying to help. I participated in search and rescue when my friends went missing in Bellingham Bay when their sailboat capsized. We never found them and just looking was emotionally draining. So thank you, I know how hard that job can be.
I don’t know how I stumbled across your RU-vid page it’s not something I would be watching. I have laughed at your pranks with your friends. Now I see how much you care for people you don’t know. Bless your heart, and your soul. Your parents have to be proud of you, I would be.
That's terrible. That poor family, the father and his son died trying to have a father and son moment. I don't think I can process how sad that is, and imagine drowning, that's absolutely terrifying. God bless the poor people. 😔😔😔
That's rough losing a husband and son at the same time. My condolences to the wife and there families this is a tragedy. Always saddens me to hear of such things
Rivers are very dangerous. One time when I was 7, my mom and I went to one of her friends house that they where renting on the river. When we got there, my mom and I and her friend went on a Jet-ski. When we where pulling up to the dock, and we flipped. The current started pulling us down the river. After about a minute, my moms friends husband saw us and helped us to safety. It was crazy that her husband was able to do what he did. He’s was able to stay in one place in the river with a life vest. I also removed that when we got back into the house, I took a shower, and i saw a daddy long legs in the shower, and I was so traumatize, that I didn’t even care that the spider was in the shower. I will never forget that day.
I was an assistant dive chief on an underwater recovery team. When someone first drowns they will be right where they went down. They will stay within 25 feet of the x is the high probability area. If the water is murky you will have better luck bumping into them than seeing them.
Hey big boy I just wanna say that you are a great guy. I can feel your positive energy and your honesty. God bless you man. I wish we have more people like you in this selfish world we are living in. Health and prosperity is what I wish for you every day for as long as you live.
I know this was posted 2 years ago but I just hope that they can have closure and I hope the that they can get all the stuff they need during this time
I know this was 2 years ago, but god bless you. You're an amazing man, your mother must be more than proud to be able to call a great man like you her son
wow its really good of you doing this for the dad and son who is missing and for their family.need more people like you thank you for helping.God bless and send more cases your way.this is a great thing.
as someone who has had a loved one be missing for 2 1/2 years this is very much appreciated I personally am neither of the deceased peoples relatives/spouse but you are definitely doing them a favor helping, my parents both have been into helping people with missing loved ones for example about about little half a year ago my parents and i went to Nebraska to help look for a missing 8yo girl who drowned i wasn't aloud to get in the water to help cause of my mom who was skeptical about letting me get in the water but i was still able to help with the search dogs which one of the people also helping look for the girl but ya you are definitely helping them and that is amazing
Rivers are fantastically dangerous. Never play or swim near a river without a life jacket (No matter what age you or your kids are). There can be hydraulic currents, cut unders, etc. that can kill you quick. The current can pull you into debris and hold you there like a giant vice. Sounds like the father gave his life trying to save his son. One of my professors, years after I graduated, gave his life trying to save his adult son in Lake Michigan, both souls were lost. Aside from rivers, cold water is the next enemy. The great lakes are very cold, even in summer and you can become hypothermic very quickly even in mid summer. I used to be a Professional SCUBA instructor and certified rescue diver and I never go in over my head swimming in the great lakes without a life jacket. Respect the water or it WILL teach you to respect it.
Bless your ginormous heart, Jake! You are an angel on Earth and you have a pure soul. I hope you get calls to help in other cases. It may be gruesome but I'd think it was so rewarding to help families find the closure they desperately seek. Xo
For all those asking about the siren sound. It's from Ft. Benning (home of the infantry and is a LARGE base) that isn't too far away. They test the speaker systems seemingly at random, a few times a week. They have an "air raid siren" at each section of the base. It's always funny seeing new privates get anxious or freak out about the tests when they first arrive at BCT.
Damn bro i played cod with u never had u added but my friends did i was in dare as a trickshotter. Glad to see you have came along way bro. Outstanding person we need more people like you man. Much respect
It's sad bus this was only 8 days after my birthday happened. And when something very heartwarming to me happened. But it's so sad bcuz I never knew about it bcuz I live in PA
It is strange yeah. But on the other side, he's still raising awareness about how dangerous water can be even to locals. The algorithm or whatever pushing this vid though is strange af
I know a man that loved fishing. One day he felt something bump his boat. He looked over the side and seen a dead woman looking up at him. Her car had ran off the bridge it turns out. The event messed him up so much he sold boat and all his fishing gear. As far as I know he has never been fishing again.
That's usually weather warning system looking at the clear sky it's most likely a test. Take a tornado siren it test runs near me every wednesday at noon every week every month every year so may be something similar
This is a video about people who drowned and died, and all you care about is getting attention with your "who's here in 2020?!?!?!" comment? Seriously? How shallow can people get? So disrespectful and just plain pathetic
I have been watching you for a while now and the whole time I thought I was subscribed and I was not but I am now your such a good hearted person it shows you were raised right also I can tell just how you treat your dog
already first responder certified I've done search and rescue before but in a different capacity this is my first time doing it in the water, I served and I'm already kind of the go-to guy for certain missions for example we got a soldier who lived in town had a boat real nice kept a lot of weaponry on board had some gold and stuff booby trap the crap out of it so if anybody ever stepped on board it'd blow problem is it went down and we got it in an area where there's a lot of kids who swim and stuff so we're hunting for it so that I can go disarm it underwater our local police don't have anybody who does that they have people who do it on land but they don't have anybody who does that underwater I'm the only one we know of in town that's got the skills to pay the bills so to speak so even that I'm not officially search and rescue diver how I'm not even deep sea qualified I don't even have scuba I don't need it it's not that deep but I got the skills to get the job done I'm a real strong swimmer lifeguard certified first responder certified been diving since I was a kid and I can hold my breath for quite a while over three minutes and because of that and the fact that it's my boat soldiers served under me and he willed it to me but that one's not so much a priority until we can locate the vessel but even still when it comes up they don't want nobody else touching it cuz it's just too dangerous that'll be the most dangerous job I ever did even when I served I didn't do nothing that dangerous this things literally a bomb it's got eight devices on board at least and that's serious I mean it's a 64-ft steel Hall vessel too and it's going to be underwater so if any of those pop while I'm working on it sayonara my friend
My husband and I had gone rafting down the same part of the Rogue River in Oregon for about 5 years and it was completely calm and smooth until the last year we went rafting which was about 4 and 1/2, 5 years ago and it was so much different. I was about six months pregnant with our first child and was still feeling extremely active and energetic, we had done it so many times in the past we thought it would be okay. I hit a rough patch and my husband was right behind me, I hit the patch and was thrown under and all of a sudden I feel my whole body being pushed up and out to the shallows... my husband ended up getting beaten by the undertow for a good while and thrown back up. He ended up being okay but for a good three to four weeks his whole body was bruised and bloodied because he threw me up and out to safety and forced himself down to the rocks. We have never underestimated the river or any body of water ever since. It was so incredibly terrifying for both of us. I thankfully still have my love today, plus a couple of added babes! He completely sacrificed himself to save me and thankfully I didn't have to lose him.
Bro shut up. He did something wrong and he apologized. Yes he definitely should’ve gotten punished at the time, but that was years ago. Just shut up about what he did, it’s over.
Nicci Steyn he filmed a man who commited suicide in the suicide forest in japan and made fun of it while also viewing the whole corpse he later uploaded it but it got taken down, its on google somewhere
There is nothing more tragic than mother losing her child at such an early age. I really hope she and all the relatives will be able to recover some day and still find happiness. I send my prayers to those people and really hope they will find strength.
