I am so happy to have found this video here on RU-vid. I visited Helsinki in the summer of 2013 and I fell in love with the feel of this city. After my visit, I have been dying to return there. This video is the next best thing to being there. Thanks so much for posting !!
I know, it's a drag. However, there's this district up north called Central Pasila that should see some skyscrapers being built during the next 10-15 years.
Skyscrapers are the most efficient buildings up to the height of about 400 meters. Then the amount of elevators needed starts to eat up usable floor space.
llstarlight welcome back to this video because of my comment haha ! we do have tall buildings, but no skyscrapers. they have builded some modern looking buildings, but i think mostly they are building even the new buildings in an old style, so Helsinki would look just like 100 years ago! :)
yes, that's what I love about it,that all old buildings are still there, beautiful!! Outside the center, twenty minutes by the metro( underground),you find east Helsinki, that's another story..
