i had same problem! worked ok with plastic sprockets...not working with metal sprockets even though the metal sprockets were from heng long and appeared to be identical!!! i layed the metal track out on a table and ran the metal sprocket along them and noticed the teeth were too fat to fit into the track holes! so i filed the metal teeth thinner to match the same thickness as the plastic sprockets until it ran along the layed out metal track without getting stuck! this cured the problem for me! regards md

great, glad I could help, I have a few of these tanks and did it to each, for the price you can't go wrong. I think My Mato Sherman tank didn't need to have a lnk removed but the rest did.
I have some quick thought that might be of uset o someone with this problem with their HL tank...that screw in the beginning of the video, is stripped. The plate it mounts to is not secure. There's a big part of the issue. I'd epoxy a aluminum sheet supprt plate and replace that screw with nylon insert nut. I didnt realize both sprockets on the same wheel would, or should spin differently! I thought they are supposed to be one unit. More epoxy? The drive sprocket seems tob e spinning on its shaft. Also. Maybe a collar with lock hex screw and a lengthened shaft for a tight grip, also maybe make a slot inside the sprocket and add (solder, jb weld) a key (in machinists terms its called a woodruff key) on a lengthened shaft so it CANT turn on its shaft? One last thought. Maybe not practical and possibly stupid, but a thought. Add a seperate track tensioner. Right over the second or third road wheel. If you did it right, perhaps the fender skirts would hide most of it and weather the rest to make it less noticable. Epoxy, again, some aluminum sheet, a brass tube to hold a spring, and a plastic ball bearing, or wheel to press down on the tracks. The spring would not have to be, nor would you want it to be strong since it would continually be moving up and down in response to the bumpy tracks. Should have adjustable spring tension (which could just be a matter of changing springs to a weaker one etc.) and easily replaced tension wheel/ballbearing.
I took a drill bit made a point on one end, lay the tank on its side use something to support the track you are taking off , back it up. Use the drill bit as a punch and knock it out, its just a friction fit pin, take out one link, When you put it back on , use the sprocket and loop the track over it, this way you can pull it tight to line the tracks back up. I have this tank and had to take out one of the links to tighten it up, its the metal track version and seems to run well now.................. good luck
it is because they probably made a cast(mold) of the plastic one, when you cast from a existing part, the result part will be a little bigger,plus they missed alignment of the center hole i think.. resulted 2 problems :(
Yeah, the hull was not true, making one idler hang lower than on the other side.. But with plastis sprocket's (org HL ones) the belts were fine, see my other video.
I'm also having a problem with my kv1. The left gearbox (for the left track) is loose for some reason. It won't go straight or turn right but can go reverse. The right side is fine I notice that gears on the left side is loose. I tried to fix it but nothing happened
well you could try taking one link off at the time and see if that helps( se in my video) ore you should flip the tank over , and see if all the wheels are on a straight line Abitt hard to help without seeing what's going on.
Tigers have the most issues with the tracks, I ended up pulling my metal tiger parts off and putting it on a bulldog, works much better with tiger sprockets gearboxes and tracks on a bulldog tank
I’m having the same problem on my t90 it worked fine at first but I took it outside and got a lil bit of mud in the track I took the mud out and now I have this problem

this was one of the first tanks I had, so I had not much experience on tweaking and fixing stuff back then, so I scrapped it ( sold it as part's tank) I took a brake for a few years, and got back into tanks, and now have 20+ of them. So what was the real issue here I dont know 100%, but I think a track+sprocket missmatch since it rides over the tooth's of the sprocket

in mine m-41is about allmost a hour of play with the standard battery,i bought a 3600 one in a rc shop and now i can play for allmost 3 hours without recharge
soo.. you bought a new sprocket set? this tank has easily to find replacement parts?? I'm thinking in buy one heng long full metal tiger I tank, soo, I don't know anything about it.
Are u using the heng long metal tracks? I am and have the same problem. But a friend who has the asiatam lower hull with asiatam tracks seems to have no problem at all.
