When I first watched this video 2 months ago it blew my mind like how did she do that, today 2 months later I've learned it too. Dedication and practice is everything people.
I was encouraged by you trying to make a “accidental” curl. You have such muscle memory, it was hard for you to make a mistake! lol That means I’ll be able to make good ones soon!
Wonderful being able to see how you hold the cone - most videos don't show that - little things like that are great for us beginners :-) Very helpful video, thank you!
Just got my first order of henna cones from you in today's mail delivery about 10 mins ago. It'll be my very first time even holding a henna cone in my hand....so this video couldn't have been timed any better! Can't wait to get started
omgosh yay!!! I am so happy to hear that and I cant wait to see what you will create! A word of advice, don't get discouraged in the beginning if it doesn't turn out how you want! I would say it took me a few months of steady practice before I started feeling like I was getting the hang of it. But I didn't do drills like these in the beginning either, I kept trying to create masterpieces from the start and honestly I wish I would have done drills like this I would have saved myself a lot of trial and error!
@@GopiHenna I kept one cone out to "sacrifice to the cause" and the others I put in the freezer as you suggest. My plan is to play and practice holding and doing the drills with the first cone. After I have gone thru that cone, I will switch to doing the practice drills with just a pencil until I get better with the basic shapes and muscle memory...then I'll pull out another cone from the freezer. I used to be pretty good at drawing. But it's been decades since I've sat down to draw, and heaven knows that there'll a huge difference between working with the two different mediums...but hey, gotta start somewhere. I have admired the beautiful henna artwork that you, and others, have been so gracious as to share with all us viewers...and who knows, maybe one day I'll be able to achieve something a fraction as good. 😉 here's hoping anyway
@@1wascallywabbit That sounds like a perfect plan! It's a little different than a pencil or paintbrush but I know with steady and determined practice, I know you'll be able to achieve your creative desires! :D I need to do a video showing my oldddddd work because it was CRINGE for sure hahah so if I can learn anyone can!
Is there anything that mimics the consistency of henna to practice with? I suppose im just having a hard time thinking about purchasing henna just to practice with 😅
@@octoberandreasbejan8931 hey! I'm not joking dear! Just it was like cheap for me trying this trick adding color to flour and using it i just suggested you ,but i was laughing for real thinking of this trick to avoid wastage of henna,,,, don't misunderstand just because i put that lol emoji in the comment🙂 ,and after trying plz reply me

Thank you for your tutorials, i find you really good at explaining your techniques very well, so i subscribed. I am going to look at some more. Also, is there a brand of henna that is best to work with. I was going to get it from wish but changed my mind until i asked an expert.
These are great! However, my question is, how can you keep the muscle between your thumb and ring finger from hurting when you do henna? It's kind of weird, but whenever I do henna, I always get pain in that muscle.
Talar Sews Stuff do you hold it more like a pen or pencil at the tip of the cone after or do you fold it over? Not in the beginning when the cone is still full but when it starts to lose pressure
I’m brand new to henna art and I’m having trouble with my henna curling to one side when it comes out of the tube. I’m finding it really difficult to get a clean start on any line. Any tips to troubleshoot?
Do you roll your cone around a pin or do you cut it? Sometimes cutting it can cause that, if not then are you making sure to clean the tip of the cone as you work? As you work a little henna build up can accumulate so periodically cleaning the tip as you work can help. Or maybe you need slightly thinner paste so it comes out easier
@@GopiHenna I bought pre rolled cones with pins at the end, and also experimented with cutting the tip slightly bigger on one of the cones to see if that fixed the issue (it didn’t, it still wanted to curl off to the side). Based on your reply I’m wondering if the henna itself is a little on the thicker side. I may try to get a few other brands and see how much of a difference there is. I’ve been doing henna on my hair for years but never used cones so I don’t have a good reference for what the proper consistency is for body art application. Thank you so much for your reply!!
@@Lilredpoppydid you figure it out? I like to use a pin for my cones. But when I was first starting, I learned with applicator bottles instead of cones.
I never thought I’d be learning henna from a Caucasian person. You are very talented but I’m not sure if this would be considered “culture appropriation “? Maybe I’m wrong. I’m a middle eastern/indo-Pakistani person so this kinda hits a nerve
Everyone is subject to their own opinion but myself I have my personal connection to Mehndi thru practicing my religion known as Gaudiya vaishnavaism which is a specific branch of Hinduism where we worship radha Krishna. I got married to my husband at our local radha Krishna temple so we had tradition vedic hindu vivaha yajna ceremony and getting Mehndi done is one aspect of this tradition for us, therefore for me personally race or skin color has nothing to do with my souls chosen religion or cultural practices
@@GopiHenna wow that’s really beautiful! Thanks for sharing. You are very good at henna designs . Now here’s my problem…. How do I stop my henna from squiggling? Especially doing the leaves when I go thin to thick.
@@sharsSafeSpace I wish I could see a video of the issue to really tell what’s going on, do you have a squiggly issues when you try to do straight lines as well or any draping? If so then could be the tip? If you cut the tip open instead of rolling around a pin sometimes there could be a snag in the tip that causes paste to come out more squiggly
It's been ten years of practice i couldn't draw a straight line or circle i don't know how people learn in one week for me it's so tough maybe i will never be able to learn this art am thinking to join a henna art school a good teacher can help me step by step everytime i see someone drawing so perfectly i shed tears 😢😢😢
so I'm watching this video This is my first time doing henna and, How does one I'm literally an artist and this is impossible like I do tattoos for a living like regular tattoos I can't tell if it's just me or if it's my henna cone because this is so difficult I could repaint the Mona Lisa But this right here This is sorcery
Can I please ask a question. My sister is giving me all kinds of hell right now because I bought some cones today. She says that it’s offensive to the culture for me to do this type of art. Is this true? I just find it very beautiful and would like to try it for myself
The problem with me is when I start applying mehendi I do a little pattern then I get stuck no more idea or pattern comes to my head to finish someone’s full hand 🙁 please can you help me out
What brand of henna does everyone suggest?? When I look on Amazon, they are all called "henna hair dye." Help! I want to learn henna tattooing. Mostly to keep up. my own henna tats from hena professionals. :)
Are you using special paper for henna designs? Im watching this before work. Very relaxing to watch. L❤ve your work. I bet I will squeeze the henna pouch too quickly. You do it with little effort.
The only things I could see clearly are your hands...the designs you are teaching are not clear enough...you didn't adjusted camera or something.. it was not easy to concentrate ...but your ideas are smart and I like when you teach henna
Hi mam.... I want to start mehendi cone business from home....will u please guide me how to start ...what and all ingredients are used and how I should be prepared for this business
I just started and this video helped out so much! I love henna tattoos but I didn’t know how to get started. Thanks for the names of the strokes. Could you include more names of the strokes in another video please. 😊
Hey girl u comment is like 7 month ago. I am taking 7 month to learn everything to do with henna to be able to make a living out of it. How far have u gone? Did u master it? Plz let me know. Thanks
Great video but I wish you would have said when to give pressure. Like for the humps are you squeezing the whole time? My slugs look like 💩 and do you have a video on how to hold a full cone?
This is the 2nd person doing these designs, OR demonstrating this technique that are absolutely STUNNING... And they BOTH had well over 50 thumbs down... .....why? What am i missing? I cant understand ONE .How can there be that many trollz.... idk. Beyond me. Anywho, i Sub' ed And i cant wait to see more..
Amazing with great patience, politeness, and softest sweet voice you are explaining. It is so enjoyable and easy to understand, so inspiring full of motivation. Hats off to you girl 🫡👍👌👏👏👏 Bless and thankyou❤❤❤ I will try and give feedback. ❤😊
I fee like I am wasting so much product with practice. Do you have any alternative products or suggestions for practice where it doesn’t stain, you can reuse it, and/or address using so much plastic by going through the cones?
I don't do mehndi with a henna or cone, I only really work with paper. But I'm trying to re teach myself how to make such designs, and even if I don't need to drape in the same way, this is still such a helpful primer. Iirc when I got into mehndi the first time, what I'd do to begin with was recreate the design in the video line for line-- not to post anywhere, but to essentially this kind of thing, to practice each element without having to create the design. This video should help me relearn without being too find new videos each and every time (though I'm sure I'll do a BIT of that, too, to remind myself of big picture design aesthetics lol)
Hi. Thank you so much for this educational video on Henna drills for beginners. I wanted a video to show me how to do henna at home for myself. Stay safe.
my henna won't drape : ( any recommendations on brand or anything to help find a smooth one that will also stick to itself and drape? also, ones that don't take overnight to set the color? thanks!! this has been my frustration
