Indian designs are fuller and more traditional...it’s called “mehendi” and in the Middle East they do such designs the one you showed. I used to get henna when I was a child and I have always loved it and thought it was so beautiful. Recently I decided to buy some henna and give it a whirl. My first attempt was okay, wasn’t perfect so I thought I’d try again today and I followed your video and I love what I’ve created. I attempted to mimic the first design you did with the flower and I’ve added afew extra dots and lines around the outside to make it fit my hand and I’m obsessed!! I wish I could leave a picture to show you. It’s not perfect but it’s a second attempt and practice makes perfect. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!

You've introduced me to the world of henna now and you made it look so easy. Thank you for this very helpful video! I look forward to practicing. The other commenter said to practice with buttercream...I agree since you don't want to waste money until you're ready. Henna is very much like decorating cakes and cookies. I do not envy cookie decorators they are tough!

Just got my first henna tattoo today and I’m obsessed! I let the artist pick the design and she chose one based on what my energy and skin was telling her. When she asked me what color glitter I did the same, let her decide. It came out so beautifully.

its nice to see you are from different culture and practicing henna design, but can i mention everybody use it as a fashion and for some its traditional spiritual paste of henner snd shoukd noy be used for fashion or patterns if the henna is not sacred or prayed to traditionaly thats how its used but people are using it for wrong doings and people who do this its not a good thing at all and also should never be used if ur not a married women and its only for indian for people of that culture and its also mixed in a different way. its really not fashion or a tatoo as they a re wearing today henna is a made from india and the roots of it is there its also not to wear without a certain protection on women and is only worn by a married women of thst cultures, same as something from your cultures wont have any vamue or meaning to our roots, because we are all different and it playes a big part this henna in our lives, i wish people would stop using it as a pattern or fashom i mean its beautiful to see these pattens but the real application is applied different not as a pattern. Its also mixed in certain way applied certain worn in certain way and there is a way how to handle it and keep it on and what to do to keep it on so many process gpes into a newly weds hands and is oy used on married couples men also ware and its used in a different and there is a history behind it snd its rituals. But hay i have learnt some beautiful patterns from ur video and its nice to see you respect the henna love the beautiful flower you have created

I am doing some research on the darker henna. Reading about black henna and how bad it could be. I am also seeing an alternative of Jagua henna. Do you have any thoughts on this?

You can practice with hand lotion or tempera paint, it has the same consistency and is much cheaper just for learning. I made parchment paper hands and arms, lol scrape it clean and go again!

I just ordered some henna i got a small henna done at the mall but it was $10 and it seems cheaper to just buy the kit and do it myself and make it as big as i desire i can't wait to put my imagination into the form of art
