The Virginia Colony was the heart of what would one day become the South of the USA, just as Massachusetts Bay was the origin of the North of the USA. So much interesting history about how two majority English and Scots/Irish settlements influenced the development of surrounding states and had two differing paths of development.

EXCELLENT ! Thank you for this video. My ancestors settled not far away, at Tappahannock on the Rappahannock River in 1635. I must come down from Pennsylvania and see your very interesting museum before long. Keep up the good work !

Why sad? You would have rather been settled by the incompetent Spaniards?

@@mikeclancy741 The Spaniards weren't any more or less incompetent than the English, but that is besides the point. Both mostly stole and exploited and murdered the inhabitants of the land who had been there for millenia. Genocide is always sad.

@@GwaiHaida at least we had the mercy and literacy to record it. Super sad for those completey vanquished with no remainders nor memories.

Yes that long ago IMB had a think pad that had a tablet on it that did basically this. This is great for people who MUST sign printed paper and also want a digital copy. That's about it.

Jesus is still alive and is Lord and God and Savior and the only way to go to heaven is to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and God and Savior and believe that he died for you so that your sins will be forgiven

LoL!! It's amazing how they always omit the many thousands of murdered and enslaved Powhatan, many of which are erroneously known as "African American" or something equally dispossessive. When one considers the fact that King James of England was financing this military occupation of indigenous people and their home. The people whose homes they built forts upon were inscripted under a foreign military policy of ancient Rome, under whom England, Spain, Portugal, and the rest were subject. Modern day London is the old Roman capital Londinium, and it's basically the Vatican Bank. Everything isn't what it seems. There are many parallel accounts and omission of records, but the facts are consistent with piracy of people, lands, and cultures.
