@@matthewclay6019 I think It was happy for him to live because he could then take the blame for all the murders and people could continue to live in Derry under the illusion things were normal.
@@liammoulton2508 actually it a wouldn't have mattered if he survived or not because pennywise already made the town delusional because when they were cutting Ben's stomach those old people did nothing
I liked the books inner monologue of him, where he was basically like „yeah I‘m just gonna let them pin all of it on me. Better to take the bullet for that clown than to make it angry.“
In an interview, Nic Hamilton said that the screaming when he came out of the water was real because the mullet was actually a hair extension thing, and the water was making it pull his head back
Henry really reminds me of this girl from my childhood. I was the last person on the bus so I had to ride next to her everyday. I was in second grade and she was in kindergarten. She would beat on me every morning. One time she literally tried to rip my ears off. The next day my mother found bloody scabs behind my ears. The school didn’t do anything until she started hitting me in the jaw. And they only did because I had several major reconstructions on my jaw and they didn’t want to get sued. She would torment me over my tracheostomy scar. I never hit her back because she was smaller and younger than me. I hated her as a child. When I was an adult twenty years later I found out that her mother would bring men in the house. Men who did awful things to her. And beating on me was her way of passing on the pain, she was absolutely vicious. After that I just felt sorry for her. Henry was a product of his environment and later IT’s influence.
Connor Thomas Unfortunately no, she had a baby at 14 which was taken away not long after. I see her walking around town so screwed up she can hardly walk. I stop and talk to her when I see her but she let it consume her instead of getting help. I feel terrible for her.
Not really he probably fell into sewer water or a pile of the dead bodies of those kids and then the water in the sewer probably picked them all up and move them including henry
All the dead half eaten kids getting blown out of the sewers is a pretty disturbing sight. I am also pretty sure that Henry not only got accused for his father's death, but also for all the children. They would have none other to blame...
That was all explained in the book. The authorites concluded that Henry was essentially a juvenile serial killer and had murdered all the missing children himself. He was deemed criminally insane and sent to the asylum.
Honestly, Bowers should’ve died at the end of the first movie, because nothing he does in the sequel has any impact. He is literally just there because...he was there in the book, but in the book he actually accomplished something; hospitalizing Mike, which meant that the Losers’ decision to confront it was more suspenseful, because Mike was the one who knew the most about IT.
Same for Hocksetter,he was there for fan-service and the fan girls.they wasted teauge and tech.after hocksetter died i was so pissed. They wasted His character in the book, he was a psychopath fvck that was so Interesting to read about, his death was the worst and horrifying “when he woke up it already began to feed”. Suck a fvckd up individual yet so Interesting. What did they do to him in the movie? Make him scared of zombies, and be afraid. See the most IMPORTANT trait of his character is that he really had no big fear. When the leeches attacked he responded so normally. Stephen really wasted his characters.
any one noticed how Nicholas Hamilton's (Henry obviously) voice changed a lot from the first to the second movie I feel like it got deeper idk it might just be me
It changed because they had a two year gap for filming between movies. The Losers also had to be deaged to look younger and make their voices closer to the same as before. Personally, if I had already known I was going to film a sequel, I would have done all the shots when they were younger in the same year.
Actually I think this scene was filmed to be part of the first movie. I heard that at the premiere screenings there were scenes that weren’t used in the final cut, and apparently one of them was Henry washing up and being arrested
He probably did but since the miniseries was meant for tv they couldn’t show any of the scenes there was a deleted scene of dead Georgie since pennywise never actually took him down the drain
@@swstopmotions4390yes he did. didn’t he? cause after he bit his arm off he dragged him down into the sewers. not sure abt the book but that’s what happens in 2017
I’ll say this, while what happened to Henry at the end of IT (2017) was way cooler than the miniseries in terms of him coming back what happened to him in the miniseries was a lot more realistic, because other than his hair turning white nothing really happened to him, but when you see Henry fall down that well in the 2017 movie it’s like “Ok, there’s no way in hell he survived that, that would definitely kill him”
@@Patches_bts I feel bad for Henry Bowers, but at the same time you can’t just take your anger out on random kids,I have been bullied, but I didn’t go around bullying other kids.
Henry looked a good 6 inches taller in this movie. Actor had a growth spurt between this and the first film. This dudes acting seemed a bit more on spot in my opinion then the rest of the kids. He was also in my opinion the best looking and i think the mullet was def a wig
Pennywise when he found herrny: don't worry our work here is not done ok now you shall live. Herrny: I'm ALIVE 27 years later hernny: my knife its back
OK I’m gonna state my opinion out here because I feel the need to and I feel that a lot of people should see this. So I feel like how the police found Henry guilty was unspoken. Henry killed his father and took the knife with him to kill his friends. You might not know this but there’s a deleted scene of Henry in a car with his two friends that he had murdered. So the three things that the police could’ve found to know Henry was the killer is that either Henry left knife In the car, or, he left the knife in the neibolt house when he fell down the well, or, he fell down the well with it in his pocket, and when he got to his house the police confiscated it from him. And then he got it back from “zombie Patrick” at the mental hospital. Stephen king could have made a scene of the police finding evidence and talking about it and then leaving the house and seeing Henry. Idk, just my thoughts.
@@octaviusroosevelt7355 Something like that. If I remember right, he admitted to killing his dad in the book. That was already a strike in itself. However, some of the possessions of the killed children, including a teenagers underwear, was found in his room. While Henry didn't know how their possessions came into his room, he suspected whatever killed Victor and Belch (Pennywise) was the one who did it. The town blamed Henry for all of the murders/disappearances and sent him to a mental facility.
If you were a kid during the 1980's, you knew a bully like Henry Bowers, and you knew a local cop that would have punched him the face. Different times.
One of my favourite horror movies ever. Not very scary for the seasoned horror movie viewer but the acting is so good. These kids done a great job the acting in Chapter 1 is miles better than in chapter 2. I can see these kid actors in big blockbusters in the future all of them are awesome
Yeah, and also in my opinion, he should have played homicidal liu, cuz his voice sounds so accurate and perfect for homicidal liu imo, but i respect your opinion
Henry also would've been arrested for all the dead and decomposed children that washed out with him from the sewer. Most of them were half mauled and eaten, so no wonder he resided in a mental institution. Regardless, that was a disturbing sight to see all those kid corpses among body parts, I noticed how the water was bloody too, meaning there might've been 1 or 2 kids that were recently killed. People in the cinema behind me all gasped one by one 😂
Looks up his friend Patrick he killed his baby brother and killed animals tried to give Henry a blow job in the book and way worser things you can watch his history on youtube if you think im lying also rest of henry gang is dead
He attacked Mike and sent him to the hospital. Mike survived. Henry died as one of the losers tried separating him from Mike and in the struggle bowers stabbed himself.
0:18-0:45 I still feel like there's a scene missing during Henry's return!!! I remember it happening just moments right after 0:45. I remember so much more before he walks back to the house in the theatrical version. Someone PLEASE tell me I'm not the only one?!
@@ibukimioda3336 As I remembered the scene in movie theater; After Henry had awoken, being flushed out from the sewers and survived the well fall. He discovers a dead kid's head floating next to his face. In shock emotions he still was, he screams/panics as a reaction then continues that same reaction as he sits up and sees himself surrounded by dead children. Some that were still in one piece while others were in pieces, floating in the water that was floating now just right outside of the sewer entrance. The scene's just a few seconds but I think it's a great one. I didn't like that it was removed completely.
@@butterflynova3136 That's so disappointing that they cut it out! I didn't see the movie in theatres (I turned 15 a couple months ago and wasn't old enough to see it or in my horror phase). So would it be like a deleted scene or do you know anywhere I could find it? And thanks for such a detailed description!
@@ibukimioda3336 Probably not, I searched throughout YouToube and couldn't find it. They did the same with other movies I've seen in theaters, such a foolish decision to remove these very short moments.
@Some Random Guy you gotta be stupid af, Henrys dad is an abusive racist He isnt trying to discipline him. Hes beating him and hes the reason because Henry is a bully.
Matyas Balint that’s not the case here dumb shit.. in the book he is in fact portrayed as an abusive and racist father who disciplined his son unfairly and for the sake of just hurting him, however, in the movie there is no sign of that being suggested. although henry’s father wasn’t the nicest of people, you’ve got to remember that in this movie henry bower’s is an antisocial and hostile boy who NEEDED intense disciplinary measures :/
@@もも彡 you're stupid too, you fruitcake. What is wrong with you? I mean like wtf. Haven't you watched the deleated scene where Henry takes his shirt off and has scars on his back because of the beatings his dad gave him. Wtf is wrong with you, how could you miss out something that important
@@Spacelove360 Well I mean, I believe that Pennywise was manipulating Henry into doing horrible things. It's not really Henry, it's because of Pennywise tho, but I know it's not right for him to treat children like that.
I think if I was younger than the actor that had the role of Henry at the time he’d be on my heartthrob list while I’m 33 years old he’s technically old enough to be my son
Fun Fact all the actor look older. Having been around 12 when filming the first and around 15 when filming the second. To make this less noticeable they actually CGI and edited the kids face in the second to make then look younger. I guess they didn’t think young Henry was worth the time doing so as he had very little screen time.
You’re telling me that he fell 60 feet in a sewer in a haunted house and still not dead he doesn’t even have any scratches. Any scars not even concussions his head might not even hurt. Does his head hurt?
I don’t like Henry but I feel bad that Pennywise fucked up his brain like that, however it was his free choice to kill his dad, but his dad does treat him mean so I feel bad... kinda, but that doesn’t give him the right to kill him
you need the chair 😂 peeps wanna hate on Henry yet they don’t realize that the ONE PERSON who made him that way was his poor excuse of a Dad. If he NEEDED anything, it was help, a better living environment and people who love him. Quit 👏🏻 hating 👏🏻 on 👏🏻 Bowers 👏🏻
