My brother in law is from Arab. I moved to Florida in 1984 when I came up with the joke he's telling. I told my family the one way I know someone from Florida is in my car is when I use my turn indicator and they say "What's that clicking noise?" He's welcome to use it in good health and I just smile knowing the truth.

This may not be my favorite joke but it is one of the most memorable. Every so often when I'm alone in the car and I hit the turn signal I hear Henry's voice asking, "What's that clickin' noise?"
He had a little bit on an episode of Designing Women. He is stuck on a plane to Japan between Suzanne and Julia. Suzanne is just trash talking away thinking he is Japanese and finally he sits up and says something along the lines of "I'm just a Bubba from Conyers, Ga" hahahaha it was hysterical.
I just love Henry!!! I truly adored his Designing Women episode! I don't think I have laughed soooo much (and I have seen him perform but still love the DW ep.)
I personally know a Chinese nurse who grew up in the South East & her parents grew up in China. It's the funniest thing to hear but she has thick southern accent.
the HBO special that was around an hour long is the funniest stuff "whats that clicking noise" It is so good to hear a man make you laugh with all the profanity that is so predominate these days
For those that don't know, He is Korean and from Tennesee. He says this makes him a south Korean. I have loved this guy's act for yrs. Jonly Bonly is the funniest bit I have evr heard. Out done only by The Tater Salad story from Ron White.
Dig Henry.. just watched a few clips of him, & yeah, he's a 'hit' I have to repeat what I already read here; His Korean blood-line & the southern accent? Hilarious.. because, he's funny-cool! He's easy about it.. He grew-up in the south! Go Henry
I listened to him for the first time about 5 months ago. Yeah, he tells basically the same jokes, but they’re funny as hell!!!!! Was riding with my daughter the other day and asked her, “ What’s that clicking noise?” Had to show her the clip. She never laughed so hard.
My ancestry is Korean but born and raised a proud Texan. The early part of my life I lived in a pretty blue collar refinery town with no other ethnicity other than whites. To this day, if I talk really fast, sometimes my southern drawl comes out, but nothing as heavy as John's.
I saw Henry Cho on some comedy show probably 30 years ago. He walks out and says "Hey, how you doing?" Everybody burst out laughing. "Bet y'all weren't expecting that." Love Henry Cho. Love he does clean comedy.
This is coming from another Korean and Cho: if he's Korean and was born in the southern states, does that make him a Southern Korean? (please don't shoot me, lol)
Im so glad this man is getting his shine i seen him on facebook and he made me and a group of 3 strangers burst out laughing in an elevator, we made a 2 minute ride into a comedy special
ROFL... when I was a little kid I thought "Boldlego" was another planet, too! At least I eventually realized on my own that I need to pay more attention :)
It's hard to just pick one favorite line but even so, mine is the one about his wife and the ticket pronunciation of the word " camera" on the restaurant ticket.
My father in law was J. only H. only and his brother was T. only J. only. My father in law was junior and my brother in law was the third. When my father in law entered the army in WWII he had to have a name other than initials so he chose John Henry.
True pioneer, one of the first Asian American comedians, first one on the tonight show, I always liked him especially cuz he never did the stereotypical Asian jokes that others are unfortunately kind of forced to do.
Another great one he does is "Hey Steve"...I can just imagine it in person! (I would probably be one that pitches in along with the joke, not knowing!!)
I've listened to this guys comedy so many times on Pandora. I had no idea he was Asian lol. Reminds me of that episode of Its Always Sunny, "The Gang Gets Trapped." The one where they are trying to steal the vase. Lol
When those auto repair insurance commercials come on, people listing auto sounds indicating a repair is needed, I add... "what's that klikken noise?" Still funny, ya'll.
