Enjoying it so far. I can see why Deleuze liked it. You can see how it anticipates the ‘confessional’ and ‘crude’ semi-autobiographical novels later in the century (Vidal, Kerouac, Bukowski come to mind) so there are a few cliches but this was probably very radical in ‘39
