Can anyone help me - at one point in the CD he mentions people who work at truck stops and who live in hotels, I can't work out the word he says before hotels [maybe it's a US reference I don't get as I'm British] I listen to this recording when at my most despairing , it somehow reassures me that it's not me, the world really has gone to hell!!
It´s pity there is not english subtitules... I´m from Czech Republic and nowhere is fucking english subtitules. I read books of Henry in original language, but I´m not so good me to understand.
Everything, or 'Eye Scream' is really intense and dark. Yes, it's a bit rant-y, but this was his reflection on America from 1986 to 1995. It's his thoughts on police brutality, racism, the LA Riots, and the brutality of the American landscape. He knew that he was going to receive a ton of shit for it, but still put it out there anyway. It's one of his best spoken word albums/books, but it's definitely not for the uninitiated or casual fans of his work. "You can't right the wrongs because you can't understand the cause and you'll be too busy dodging the effect."
