Henry Rollins does what he can do, he tells his mind, he looks at his moments the only way he knows how, through his own eyes. He was born in the decade he was, he grew up with struggles and joys and f**ed up mistakes just like any other human. He always seems genuine and willing to admit when he is guilty of faults and shortcomings but he always wants you to remember that he’s a guy who feels like he’s the luckiest man and tries hard not to forget that. He also has fun stories and truly cares about people wanting to listen to him, you don’t have to listen or pay to hear him. He’s going to have an adventure for himself and if you want to ask him about something he’s able and willing to talk to you: as a fellow human….. More successful people should learn how to talk truth to their existence like Rollins can. He can live the rock and roll dream and still take time to self analyse and check in with the fans that helped him make a dream come true in the first place…..
Going to the Meet & Greet in Omaha on Sunday and never understood why he stopped meeting people by the bus until now,so I'm relieved Seen him live a few times over the years and have been inspired for much longer so I'm looking forward to it!
I got to the very end of the vid, where he's talking about X, but then it cuts off, and the next video starts and it's skipped ahead to him talking about Jeffrey from Gun Club. Why won't he say the name of X's guitar player? Does anyone know what happened there? All I can find online is a pic of the 2 of them sitting side by side at a table for autographs. Please, somebody, fill me in? Thanks
it's great that he's doing what he loves, but it's a lot of "nostalgic"/punk rock era type stuff now. i really wish he had gone a different direction and continued to make music...because Rollins Band stuff was GREAT...
I remember Henry saying "owning a gun isn't a right, it's a privilege!" It is literally in the Bill of "Rights". I enjoy him but often times he's a bit sanctimonious.
Is this the White House? Why the screened questions on paper? Wtf Also back when him and Ian would see Ted Nugent he was referred to as nothing less than stellar. Henry is reversing his position out of politics. This stuff is recorded. I was dooped by Rollins.
Yeah... you can change your opinion about someone. Especially when theyre as bugfuck as Nugent. I guess traveling the all over the world talking to people like Rollins does makes you more... ya know... empathetic to humanity. Maybe Nugent should try it. Maybe you should too.
@@DanJackson1977 I saw Henry for the first time in Seattle 2.13.96, and most recently last week, and about twenty times in between. He’s consistently maintained that early Nugent records are unfuckwithable, that Nugent records after he fired his first band are not great, and that Nugent himself is a loud idiot.
