Apparently the .161 came from a blood test done less than 2 hours after the accident. Given this is a now former NFL player, literally bursting with adrenaline from the crash, and some time had passed before the blood was taken at the police station; I'm going to guess it was even HIGHER at the time of the crash. Guarantee the lawyer flips that thinking in defense. He'll say that he was under the limit when he left the bar having had a few drinks right before he left. If he had been home normally he would have still been under the limit but as his body processed the alcohol his BAC went up which is why he was "rushing" home. And its "not actually his client's fault and he's really sorry and he really is a good boy. Also he gets paid millions so this is all really a big formality right?"

Dude made a mistake, and it was an accident. You've never made a poor decision while drunk, or drove drunk, ever?? You think this kids entire life should be taken for an accident? I agree that he needs to be held accountable, but fact is, it was an accident. He's not a murderer, which even ppl that get caught for deliberate murder don't always get life in prison. You are whats wrong with humanity, saying to basically kill this guy cuz he made a bad decision or two. Have a little compassion.
