Ever since I learned that the Girl team (specifically Mike Carroll) were jealous of Tom Penny, I have no respect for any of them. Carroll sounds like a douche bag who holds a lot of cards in the industry, and some of the skaters who ride for Girl have been flexing that power for a long time. It's disgusting when peoples' egos go too far. Tom Penny is still the best skater ever imo, as much as Mike Carroll doesn't like to admit it.

Carol Worked hard to get where he was ,the whole Girl thing was a massive step that supported and grew skating, He set a lot of people up for 20 year careers, when kids were getting picked up and dumped in 3 years. I has nothing to do with whose best, its about keeping the industry going because it dies quickly Carroll holds the cards because he worked hard for them, (BTW Crail doesnt hold all the cards)

these are just rumors. you're making this sound like Elvis being scared of the Beatles or some shit. I think all the Cali pros were just blown away by Penny but not intimidated he was going to harm their careers. That's way overblown. Plus, Carroll is dope -- street skating legend and Tom Penny and all the UK dudes would say the same - they were influenced by him. so chill

@@vancouverbill I more meant from the perspective of being 17 and suddenly you alienate yourself from your entire friend group and it doesn't sound like he really stayed in touch with most of them. Whether or not it was the worst event in his life he's a grown man now and he's clearly been dwelling on that shit for 25 years.

When I was 7-8 I was gifted the Sight Unseen VHS tape and watched it probably everyday for a year. I still skate, but haven't been keeping up with skaters much. It sounded like they were kids and just lacked that maturity and guidance to handle the situation professionally. You have to think skateboarding as a whole especially around that time probably lacked a lot of leadership. Take Muska and his tax situation for example, just a bunch of kids running around with a lot of money all from skateboarding? It's a wonder most of them didn't end up worse!

Since I’m first I’d like to let people know the Henry is the real GOAT Before Marc before PJ before almost all of the goats of street skateboarding. He should be looked at in the similar light as Daewon or Rodney. In the 90s out here in Boston we didn’t even think of Rodney in any manner. Goes like this Guy Gall Mark and Marc and Cardiel Henry kalis stevie daewon Young Then like Cory Duffel and like Marissa Delsanto Jim Greco Andrew Reynolds PJ then me because I’m me and I do like looking at me. Also let’s not forget Huf Gino and I guess I could go on forever. The point is Henry really was the best and should be taken care of by skateboarding forever same as everyone else on this list of street skaters
