2:13 through 2:56 was all sighting in/shooting footage. I am not super familiar with the RU-vid guidelines for shooting footage, so I only used it modestly. However my point was to review the rifle and share my opinions of it, and we loved the rifle. Thanks for watching friend.
That's a beautiful rifle and one that will likely retain its value, over time. With that said, I really don't like the 350 Legend cartridge, and I'll tell ya why. It has a rimless case design, with no shoulder or belt, which means the only thing it can possibly headspace on is the mouth of the case. That's fine for lower-pressure pistol rounds, but for rifle cartridges, it creates a situation where the case length is absolutely critical to ensure safe operation. The 350 Legend is also built on a proprietary case head diameter, larger than the normal .378" diameter found on the 223 Remington/5.56 NATO case. When you combine these two design choices, you wind up with a real headache for anyone who is looking to reload for this cartridge. If all you ever shoot is factory ammo, and you can always buy some (they don't stop making it), then I guess you're OK, but it really just not a well-designed cartridge. If someone gave me one of these rifles, the first thing I'd do is send it to a gunsmith to ream it out for 35 Remington.
Interesting. I don't anticipate getting into reloading, anytime in the near future. I do love the 35 Rem. I have a Marlin lever action chambered in 35 Rem.
This rifle is a 350 Legend. Its a straight wall cartridge, within the length restrictions and legal anywhere in MI. I do also have a 35 Rem., in a Marlin lever action, which is only legal in Northern MI, in the Rifle zone. The rifle is in my possession, and will remain in my possession, as long as my son lives at home, at which time, it will be his rifle.
All Hunting Rifles "NOT" banned in Canada 🇨🇦 .. hand guns / all full automatic Rifles are banned also.. but Semi automatic Rifles n shotguns..(only a couple) 👍 👍 are banned .
@@perryrushton-nu6sy that is good to hear. I despise politicians who would limit our freedom! I don't do any hunting in Canada, but I do a ton of Fishing over there. God bless, friend!
Thanks Brother! TJO is more of a fishing channel, to be honest, but we are all sportsmen, and we love the shooting sports and hunting. I too am a big fan of Henry! Hoping to add the 360 Buckhammer to my arsenal soon!
