Do you think that Henry should have had his leg amputated? I realize the would NEVER have agreed to it - but would it have helped his health?

As the video stated, amputations were done in Tudor England but it was an extremely dangerous procedure. In fact, only about 10 percent of patients would of survived the surgery. That's why nobody in Henry's inner circle suggested the idea because it likely would of killed the king.

Wow. I had my leg amputated, no idea all the veins and vessels needed to be tied off. Wow

Nah they would cauterize the vessels with a red hot iron poker. Then tie off the skin. Same thing in the civil war. Surgeries greatly improved after that time..
