I can’t wait for the 357 mag!!! A Henry gun that I won’t need to worry about scratching the stock, slap a light on for pests at night and in my Preferred carry round is the sweet spot!!!

I have both the Marlin SBL 45/70 and Henry X 45/70 and just finished shooting them. Marlin has better recoil control but the Henry is super light and all around now my favorite rifle.
I am a big Henry fan I have 2 of the X models the 357. And the 410 I can tell yon the 357 X is the best Henry I have ever shot the action is unbelievable the sights are outstanding and the side gate is the way to go I can say enough about the 357 I shoot 38s in mine No problems. I repeat No Problems . The 410 works great the lever throw is long but works flawless The greatest part is about the X models is the durability the grandkids can't mess up the wood I can throw it in the truck and it holds up great 👍
I shoot all 38 special reloads with 38s it no recoil not loud at all handles great I love it I think I paid 7 something they have another one in stock now freedom sports shop Elpaso il
DAn Thompson I wish they made this in a wood version. I’m having a tough time with the idea of a synthetic Henry lol. All the current wood versions are still just tube fed. I want side load gate.
You know I didn't want it when I first Sean it then I thought about it for a gun to have in the tractor or gator that I couldn't hurt I have the side gate 45-70 brass it's a show piece I love it but it's not one the abuse . I'm sure a wood one will be coming some day
Thanks for the video on these new offerings. I have a Henry Model H006MR .357 Magnum/.38 Carbine with the brass that I really enjoy. I even have experimented with putting a picatinny rail with red dot and 3x magnifier on it for personal/home defense. However, with these new offerings that equipment along with a suppressor if you wanted would go great on an X series.
Great job, thank you for sharing. I have the .357/38 . In fact I just cleaned her today. She has only about 250 rounds through her, but I loaded up about 500 or so today and get her out again tomorrow and giver her a proper break in

@@SaraphDarklaw oh it's like night and day compared to the Marlin 1894sbl i had. Smooth action and very accurate. Recommend it to everyone looking for a lever rifle. Put 200 rounds through it.
Here in Michigan most deer are taken under 75 yards with 40 yards being the average last I checked. I knew a man with one arm that field his limit each year with a Ruger Deer Slayer in 44 Rem Mag. 44 Rem Mag is fantastic on deer at and under 100 yards. A decade or so ago a popular gun writer took a Zebra a 1/4 shot entering the hind quarter and ending up in the lungs. He weapon of choice was a Encore in 44 Rem Mag.
That lever size is nice, I always disliked the bigger loop levers, to much space between your fingers & lever, ( wasted space ) that one looks perfect...
Yeah I agree. I have a Winchester wrangler in .32 special. Big loupe lever. Don't like it near as well as my Henry lever. That slightly larger lever might be nice
Fantastic. I've been wanting a Henry in .357 mag for a while but the lack of a loading gate always kept me away. Sounds like I'm going to need to get an X series.

Love my Henry Big Boy Steel in .44 magnum. I salivate for this version. Hits all of my buttons. The .44 magnum is perfect. The 45-70 also makes me tingle a tad. Go Henry!
Might be popular? Henry hit a grand slam home run with this. They modernized popular rifles tastefully and put everything on it a sane person would want. No m4 stock or ar handguard. Even a tradionalist would see these and smile.
Would love to see Henry make this gun with brass receiver and side loading gate with wood furniture in 357 mag. and/or 45 long Colt. I would not hesitate to purchase one/or both of these. Do it Henry!
I got 1 for free this weekend in 45-70gvt with side gate. The biggest caliber I ever shot was 7.62x54r so let's see. I may pick up one in .22lr now. I do own 2 of the Ruger 10/22s but the lever action seem fun.
This new model of Henry's allowed me to pick up a Golden Boy 22 mag at local gun and pawn for $300. It was in pristine condition. There is a 45/70 there now hopefully I can put it on layaway thursday.

Darrell Gardner it is steep. To me, those are for someone who plans on using it for its intended purpose. Big game and such. Maybe as a hog rifle as well. Yes, plenty of other guns that are quite powerful enough to take down game in that category for less money. But some people can afford it and maybe want to do the “perfect pair” with a 500 mag revolver. Not me, just saying there are those....anyway, I gave a few guns that are near that price point and above, but they perform a function at a level that I can’t get in something cheaper for that specific purpose. Or maybe they are in short supply, low demand, or a combo of all of those factors. Until Henry, Marlin, or even....*GULP*....Rossi....make a gun in that caliber, Big Horn can charge what they want...
since they went to black furniture maybe build a great varmit or hog rifle chambered in the 5.45x 39; thats a smoken round. already put that out there for mr. imperato to build.

Same here. A Henry rifle with wood furniture is a work of art that also works as a fine rifle. I hope Henry rethinks that decision, maybe offer wood as an option.
I am a traditionalist when it comes to a lever gun. However these rifles really take that modern edge and apply it so it does not really look goofy like some of the other "tactical" lever guns. I would like to see a 30-30 and a 35 Rem. as well. I would start with a .357 and that 45-70 and just keep adding these to the collection.
I dont know what it is.... but the sidegate looks very strange on the Henry. Winchester, Rossi, Marlin, Mossberg, Browning all have side gates that look fine. But on the Henry it's just strange. Appreciate the speedoer reload though.
357 with a side gate and a 16" octagonal barrel and walnut furniture. One safety on the trigger guard maximum. Price it at or under 650 and you'll have the ultimate levergun.
I have a Big Boy in 45 Colt. I love chucking 250 grain pills down range. Henry’s are great. If you love shooting you need at least one Henry in the stable.
I'm hoping Henry will make a pump action rifle in .357 magnum, and.44 magnum with a descent side loading gate that you can load when the bolt is closed. I hope they keep the removable magazine tube as it wouldn't be a Henry without it.
I highly doubt that it is. I have a hunch that if the .45-70 sells well, they might make one in .444 Marlin, since the receiver length is identical, and they would only need to make a barrel and mag tube to handle the round.
I do love my Henry rifle but they need to come down on the price if there trying to get into the modern rifle game. I can get all of those features & more with many other modern rifle’s for half the price.
Do they offer the forend piece with just the nblock with the slotted rail omitted as an option. That would keep it modern and still keep it more traditional looking even with the synthetic stock.
The side gate and the slightly larger lever are some awesome features for the Henry. I would really like to see these features on a standard Henry. However the price is higher, than the standard Henry. To me the looks of a Henry are the main reasons to own one, I believe. If not for the looks, you might as well get a Marlin. Side gate and half the price.
@@Buckshotshoey00 Are you talking about the Marlins being half that or are you saying they have lower the price on this new Henry. Because yes I have, I just picked up a 30/30 for around four hundred bucks. However I still would like a Henry 45/70 in the classic style with a side gate and the slightly larger lever. The side gate is what's stopped me twice in the past couple of years for getting a new Henry. I'm glad I waited because I almost got the 44. Now I'm just going to wait for them to work these features into the classic style and get the 45/70.
I would love to see Henry really show some innovation. They seem to be able to only react to market trends but not set or 3 influence them. A great brand but they need new leadership with new ideas. Adding MLOK and threads are so 5 years ago.
