I read somewhere that pigeons are kind of like pandas in that they don’t really know how to live without the help of humans because they used to be domesticated for our purposes but are now wild again. I don’t know how true that is, but if it is, it’s kind of sad lol.
@@madameghostie Its probably not completely true, and the whole "pandas can't survive on their own" thing is mostly a myth. When you lay eggs on mostly flat surfaces, there isn't much of a need for a complex nest to cradle them in, they just have to be stopped from rolling around.
The water is super-cooled. Basically, its colder than freezing point, but its been in a cooler that doesn't vibrate much. So there's no ice crystals in it yet, making it liquid. When you disturb it or introduce it to ice, the ice crystal forms and spreads throughout the water, freezing it seemingly instantly.
6:19 Oh JEEZ, this brings me back. My elementary school was built like this. I think it was called like pod-school or something, it was a new-age 1970s idea that was popular until anyone actually tried to use them and realized how friggin' stupid it was. Henya nailed it immediately: Sound bleeds between classrooms, making it impossible to pay attention. So they built artificial walls out of bookshelves, cabinets, and improvised acoustic tiles overtop, but that barely worked. I'm just glad I was only in that school for 2 years.
and the only way to make them functional, would make then acustically shit.... and that'd cause issues then actually hearing the lecture as well... big waste of time.
My high school tried something similar when it was renovated right before I began attending it. They made all the doors and walls out of glass. The rooms were reasonably soundproof, but the visual distractions were a nightmare. I don't think they made it a semester before they frosted the windows. Some architects really need to learn that if it ain't broke, don't fix it
"Why are they like this" Our fault. They originally nested in cracks and holes into cliffs, without much else in terms of comfort, then when we humans started breeding them for a variety of reasons, _we_ built their nests. So when someone wrote a slam article against pidgeons and we as a society stopped caring for them, they became a semi-wild town dwelling animal and never re-learned how to make better nests.
6:40 to fuck with ppl having adhd, or any kind of difficulties to focus on task. i wouldnt be able to focus in a class like that cuz i'll hear all the ppl in other class and sometime see them.
I went to a school like that but it was way way bigger and all we had were dividers (like the ones at desk jobs) And they wondered why our school was the lowest ranking school in our district. Literally could hear 10 classes going on at once. I had to go to a online school because i couldn't focus and leaving the "class" out of frustration. I told my mother to sit in one of my classes for 30 minutes and she took me out the next day Thankfully when i drove by a few years ago it was tore down and made into a proper school after 10+ years
There’s also a musical road in the US, but it was built incorrectly and is therefore off-key. It was moved to a different location because people in the nearby neighborhood complained, but when they rebuilt it in the new location they neglected to fix the issue.
I don’t think Henya realizes that not everything the wise wolf Holo says is true 100% of the time. Wolves aren’t guaranteed to hunt in packs, they just have greater success if they do.
Many wolves generally will leave their pack when reaching sexual maturity to find their own partner and territory. During this time they usually travel alone, avoiding other packs at the risk of getting killed, while hunting small rodents and scavenging for fruits, vegetables and occasional insects. It's a harsh endeavour that can make them roam for hundreds of kilometers and most won't survive.
Lady puts a hole in a gas pipe and decides to make a TikTok about it instead of CALLING THE EMERGENCY GAS SERVICE! This is why we're doomed as a species.
It may have been an AC line or something similar, not a gas line. Gas lines are generally steel, so they're less likely to be pierced by a nail, and are also not very high pressure. But yes, I could see someone getting a gas leak and filming rather than evacuating.
That was an oppossum or also known as a tlacuache in mexico, its the only mexicna marsupial there is, they are fluffy, eat lots of bugs and play dead when treatened
8:15 My dog died that way, my dog was pregnant and we were away for holidays, so my mom asked one of her friends who were free that day to come and take care of her, but they got asleep and my dog went into labor. Noone. Noone of the puppies survived. My 2 dogs tried so hard to keep them warm, but in the cold of the winter their heat wasnt enough, and after that my dog stopped eating and drinking completely, she didnt even move until she passed away, she died of grief and i wasnt fucking there
It’s not a bobbit worm, they have large mandibles used for hunting prey, that is a giant beach worm, they are scavengers eating anything that washes up nearby.
12:35 technically, it's an opossum. The possum is an Australian animal. We're just lazy and shortened the name a bit in north america where the opossum is from. They look a bit like a giant rat, but are actually marsupials.
Im Japanese and I dont want to sound racist but... Idk y I heard "this has to be the most Japanese dog of all time" and its a dog that is closing his eyes, and I spat my water all over the monitor. Ik this is racist but does it make it ok if I'm japanese? or am I still racist to myself?
There was a bad concept from the 70s for a school without separate classrooms. You obviously lack sound dampening between classes, so you can hear every class going on and can't concentrate on your own class, so they didn't make many after the first few.
