@@laurenrizzuto878 Plywood, as in youre already putting up your walls?? If so, that’s great! You’re making good progress, keep going! I bought my short bus in April 2020, and am still working on the outer shell. Yesterday, I spent a good 6 hours at my local Home Depot parking lot using some rustoleum spray paint cans, painting the bus a Sand color. Still have to work on painting the cab, and I’m also working on redoing the windows, by removing them, refurbishing them, painting them black (from their original aluminum finish), and then reinstalling. Next, I’d like to install the clearance lights all around the bus, because I removed the old ones that had the foam weather stripping degraded and the metal backing rusted out, and set up the solar on the bus, but electrical is a bit over my head. However, if I can manage the solar, that would allow me to work on the bus from anywhere, because I’d just charge my tools on the go. You wouldn’t happen to be in SoCal would you? I’m trying to get a group together to check out Desert X near Joshua Tree, and also share our experiences on our van builds, and hopefully make progress together.

This is super nice and cozy! I absolutely love it. Also really nice to see someone from Washington State living the rv life. Im soon to follow. There are a few people, van lifers from Washington State but not many. Be safe, stay well and God bless

well, you answered one question i had about the suspension..now how about those tires on the back ?..if you have p metric or standard load tires, you ought to get a couple of LT tires..if you havnt already done so. the LT tires are thicker and are meant for heavy loads..i know your setup is probably not all that heavy but LT tires are great for stopping the truck from swaying while driving and require higher air pressure for rigidity ...just trying to look out for you sweetie..ive been a tire changer for 25 years.

@Richard Richard nope, a solar shower doesn't work year round in Washington, which is known for its dark gray skies more than half the year...

@@pwayne3580 Bags might extend the life of the suspension and even it out but they don't add capacity. If she is over weight on axle rating (which I bet she is) then what she needs is a strong truck or lighter load.

Very cool although I would recommend a set of inflatable air shocks in the rear for obvious reasons. They are cheap and easy to install. They will make a huge difference in distributing the weight, leveling the truck and probably helping with increasing the durability of the rear suspension. Maybe even the rear end as well. Cool build though!

Lots of vanlifers and mobile tiny home folks earn their livings online. RU-vidrs, influencers, etc. Some are crafters and travel to shows and festivals. Some pick up work as they go...

it is a very affordable lifestyle as there are no mortgage or rent payments. One could work a seasonal job & keep most of the paycheck, only paying for living expenses like propane ($1 a pound), groceries, vehicle insurance, cell phone, etc

Awesome set up. But I'd recommend adding some extra leaf springs in the back, it'll help with the sag and the bounce when going over bumps and stuff which im.sure is an issue

_I really like her home; it got style and character. I would like to offer a great use battery that is only a year old and has been taken care of; its like brand new. I was given three of these Chrome ( SLA ) 12v 110Ah from a woman who had me update her solar system with Gels Batteries. I'm the one who installed her solar system and these batteries. She knows I would make sure I pick people who would and could use a good battery. It's a helping hand for you, Anna. No strings! If you're interested, let me know._

@@MiMi-ce3ss less than 100 yrs ago people used a chamber pot. Use your imagination to come up with solutions. The shower thing is easy to. Solar shower bag. You can use a Rubbermaid tub and a shower curtain to keep the water in the tub. I lived off-grid for several yrs and you learn to improvise and work out the bugs. People have lost Thier ability to think out problem's. A positive can do attitude helps as well. There will always be others in worse predicaments. This girl is living her dream. No debt And a nomadic life to experience new things.

Love this, I had an idea of converting my 5x8 tag along trailer into a mini camper, also for now a cheaper alternative for power would be look into an inverter, use your 12v truck power and convert it to basic home 110v

looks amazing, i would recommend upgrading the rear leaf springs and shocks to handle the extra load.

That's what I was saying but I would recommend just a simple set of air shocks for the rear. Cheap and easy to install. You can manually inflate them at any gas station or tire pump to properly level the truck. They work great.
