Crazy how many people don't realize this is a cross section of the actual safe, there's meant to be a layer covering the mechanism, but they removed it so we know how the mechanism works
Mcnally proceeds to throw an entire other nightstand into the lock mechanism. It worked so perfectly when he removed the nightstand it blew a hole through the front
What you see is inside the wooden door and Not actually in the open... That door does Lock, however it doesn't Look Like it would withstand much force unless reinforced with a metal frame or something.
Now what would make it perfect is something colourful like a flower or geometric shapes painted on the front which gives the owner a clue where to pull the magnet along but will just aeem like some decoration to others. Also the magnet could be hidden in a small everyday object (which could be among the other objects on top)

A key thats actually a magnet to pull the smaller part back and some spring locks on the dial would be an amazing addition. Love seeing your vids man most if them are so creative
@draufy6819 what? I didn't say anything whatsoever about animation. I can see that it's real. I just don't see the point. Sure, it would keep your sister out, but a wooden box is not secure at all to any serious attempt at entry. Your valuables wouldn't be secure at all. If you want to secure valuables without an expensive safe, you need to design hidden compartments.
I think u misunderstood "simple" in simple idea. The thought is 100%. But I literally need three specifically precise steps to unlock it. Misaligned makes it don't work. Constantly turning and trying to realign that magnet into the spinner creates wear and tear and then destroys it from the inside.

" → The slit wheel has to be perfectly adjusted so that the barrier clip can be lifted and fit into the correct slit. Obviously, you would be operating using two magnets again to unlock it. 3. "Is the lock reliable ? " → A simple answer would be, No. Unless there is a way to prevent the slit wheel to be operated. All you need is two magnets and 10 minutes, successively trying to lift the barrier pin out of the lock bar's way to unlock it. A key based lock is better. 4. "The door can't be locked, as it seems like it is not gripping anywhere. Its useless." → This video is just for learning purpose. It's a cross section of the locking system to show how the lock works inside the walls of the locker. There must be a layer that helps the lock grip. Got an improvement for you . Put a apposite polar magnet behind the larger bar so when small bar moves it will push large bar into the locking position.

Дружище 😂😂 сегодня не составит особого труда и времени,вытащить стальной сейф из стены,и уже дома распилить его болгаркой 😂😂а эту деревянную уйню ,с одного удара кувалдой или даже ломиком ,можно в щепки превратить легко,прям на месте взлома 😂😂😂 даже если выполнить подобное убожество в металле, всё равно его очень легко получится вскрыть прям на месте 😂😂
Would be cool if there was another hidden cabinet that only unlocked when you put it in a certain spot. Would be hard to design though. Not impossible, just hard.
Me as a kid in my parents house back then: so lets check out if the Backside and the bottom of this Thing are massive too or if the screws are accessible from the outside. Most nightstand you can pull the drawer out and reach in the compartment.
