Blarie Answering from a Norwegian persons standpoint. Swedish is pretty similar in speech (tho a clear accent difference) but has some differences in the way it’s written. I’m half Swedish so I don’t have a problem with it, but some find it difficult to read. Danish on the other hand is very very similar to Norwegian when written since Norway was in a union with them for 400 years and the Norwegian language is created from Danish pretty much. BUT it’s quite different in pronunciation and therefore I would say that most don’t understand danish the way they do Swedish, some don’t understand at all almost. And Finnish is just Finnish, it’s from a completely different language tree. Because of this, Norwegian is actually more similar to Persian and Albanian than Finnish. So it’s basically impossible for us to understand. Finnish is more similar to the Baltic languages, like Estonian and such.
Blarie I’m Swedish and people here understand Norwegian really well, som words are different but for the most part it’s understandable (speaking). Danish is a lot harder but if they speak slowly and clearly (usually Danish is really blurry and mushy sounding) we may ubderstand a bit. Finish is completely different and doesn’t have the same roots as the other languages. According to google Norwegians understand both Danish and Swedish far better than we understand eachother, it’s a lot easier through writing between Danish and Swedish though. It also depends A LOT on the dialect the other person is speaking in and which one you are used to too and if you have spent some time with a Danish or Norwegian person you will soon understand far better than you did the first time.
I recently started learning Norwegian after watching the first two seasons of SKAM and tbh before that I didn't even know what this language sounds like. But now I discovered this beautiful language and I can say I understood maximum two sestences of what hey said apart from "Yes" and "No" lol
Since everyone's saying that the interviewer was being rude/awkward: that was her job. This was sent live online for a Norwegian news agent and she was hired to do some interviews of a different caliber. She acted that way with the other celebs as well, that was the point. Also this was one of the first interviews with Thomas and Herman ever so of course they were nervous but I'm pretty sure they understood what she was doing and found it funny. :)
HAHAHHAHAHA this was sooo cringe, I literally died when she said "oh well I think I have you on snapchat". You can see that both Thomas and Herman was tryin soo hard not to laught.

So disrespectful of her to pay more attention on Thomas because of her personal preferences while she's interviewing both of guys. And it was so cringy. This girl really should quit interviewing people
So I've seen a lot of hate comments towards the girl and here's what i have to say: her name is Fanny (fannypotters on ig) and she is the nicest person you'll ever meet.Shes actually quite funny.The reason why this interview was awkward is because she is NOT a professional interviewer.Stop saying shes annoying/rude because you don't know her and before stating your opinion- think about the fact that she might have read those comments and you made her feel really bad.Just think about that.
