We have a true TOOL newbie to indoctrinate! I have a few of my favorite songs in mind, but in your opinion, what songs should I show her next??? Also, if you liked the intro song at the start of the video and want to show us some love, then check out our band, LemonTech, we're on on all streaming platforms :)
Heyyy! I clicked this without seeing the channel name and then recognized you- so awesome to see you back and with a new TOOL inductee! I loved watching your TOOL journey, as you were so fun to watch in your excitement and articulation of what you thought and felt 🔥 Welcome to the joy of seeing others experience TOOL for the first time 🌀
Omg its so good to see you back! I often wondered where you went. I was just in the house visiting friends that I stayed in when I watched all of your stoned Lateralus reactions... I'm in the house next door now, all of which is serendipitously funny to me. I look firward to more 😊
The lament of a broken relationship and knowing it can work because it did at one time... such a good song. Rhythmic dissonance a perfect description for Tool.
I think this is Tools only Love Song lol btw 8:50, that part is stupid good seeing it live because its extended with Dannys drumming, got my ticket today too, Nov 19
Props to introducing your band's singer to this type of music. It's not necessarily easy to listen to for the first time, but she seems to know her stuff. Subscribed
Loving the new vids buddy! Simply said though, ALL I wish for you/us seeing HER experience is; The POWER AND GLORY THAT IS: DESCENDING as well as the Danny Cary Pneuma drum cam vid 🤘🏻……🤟🏼
TOOL ARMY reporting for DUTY! This is a once in a lifetime band. Who makes albums with: Segues Interludes Backward Messages Hidden Tracks Album Art Deep Meaningful Lyrics Incredible Musicianship ? TOOL does!!!
It's quite fun watching a TOOL fan introduce someone new to the music. Watching him bouncing along with it, then glancing over to see if she is also enjoying it. May the journey continue and be fruitful and fun.
Welcome back! And with a passenger this time! Very cool. Also band name 😉. If y'all plan to do more in this two person format, The Pot next for how the vocals are so forward in the mix and fantastic.
😯 Update: Okay so, I decided to watch. I did enjoy very much how she really was deep into listening, especially around the 11 minute mark, and was so obviously enjoying what she was hearing. Congrats on the views and comments on your return. That says a lot! Oh, and the stuffed colorful octopus.... it's so cute. Well whadya know.... he's back. I probably watch tomorrow, but not all Tool reactions again. I'm burnt out on those for a while. I'm super heavy still into Opeth now, plus heavier stuff like Orbit Culture, etc. I'm glad you're back and doing well, and will check out your personal music tomorrow. 🤘🏼🙂🤘🏼
I have a band that I discovered while watching Tool reactions. Jinjer is a Ukrainian progressive metal core band that does similar things with their rhythms and time signatures but they tend to be a bit heavier. Jinjer Pisces the live session is the general introduction to them but Vortex is off of their latest album and might be a good 2nd option for a first listen.
You should check out Nightwish and their song "Ghost Love Score". I highly recommend their live performance of this song from the Wacken Open Air Festival in 2013. Floor Jansen (pronounced Yahn-sen) is possibly the greatest female vocalist to grace a stage and is often referred as the "Valkyrie Goddess Queen of Metal. Meanwhile the keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen who founded the band and writes most of the lyrics is known as the "Metal Mozart".
They are a TOOL for humanity. Your new favorite band. Welcome to the TOOL ARMY. Keep your weapon out and belly in. Pray for rain and tidal waves, and Spiral Out my friend.
Some Tool songs are quite complex with timing changes happening...as a musician they suprise me more often when it's just 4/4 and the syncopation throws me into thinking it's in a strange time signature.
Oh wow.. thats awesome.. as I was about to close out the vid I saw the channel name n I stopped n thought for a sec.. I've seen u do Tool reactions a while back. I chuckled when u said only 20 ppl would see this n was smh... U should know better bro.. the Tool army represents✊ lol
I believe everyone who is just being introduced to Tool needs to hear their Undertow album, or even go back to their Opiate EP. They were heavier then, distinguishing them from grunge at the time. They're a fantastic band, they've done a lot for prog rock, but I fell in love with them in the 90s with Opiate and was obsessed with the Undertow album, and I cannot say that about any of the stuff they've done since.
You said even listening to Tool the first time you can tell these songs are not just thrown together it sounds like they play around with them ... Maybe for years ... You have no idea lol sometimes 10yrs
I noticed her eyes closed during a lot of the song. I think she has the bug already. Can't wait to see her journey. I always suggest going back to at least Undertow so she can grow with the band and see the evolution start to finish. If not the entire album, a few choice selections to get the feel. Sober, swamp song and Undertow to name a couple. Spiral out...keep going
