Crystal you are telling your client all of these wonderful things to help her. There are so many stylist that are not going to tell you anything, and they have a bad attitude. Keep on coming through woman of excellence, you SOAR.❤❤❤❤❤❤🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😢
You literally are explaining the basis of those Olaplex lawsuits. Many folks don't use it correctly to begin with. You are correct. That line is not meant for everyday use either.
I love your straightforward approach in educating your client and giving her the tools she needs to reach the hair goals she desires. We need more hairstylist that will be honest and not sugar coat when giving honest feedback. I feel like we get hung up on what someone else is doing on social media and not listening to what our own hair needs. Thank you so much as this video is definitely needed.
All stylists need to talk to their clients like this. When I was in my 20’s mine did. He said he didn’t want me messing up his great work by what I did at home. I have applied those lessons still today. I’m 59yrs old. The only difference is I use Elite Haircare Products. I won’t go to a stylist who doesn’t consult, or teach/explain as they go. We have “a marriage “ when it comes to taking care of my hair and scalp.
SISTER YOU BETTER TEACHHHHH!!! THANK YOU FOR THAT IMPORTANT INFO.I WISH MORE SALONS WOULD CARE ENOUGH TO TEACH OR INFORM THEIR CLINTS. YOUR THE BESTTTT🎉
Glad you covered shedding matting and tangles. i was shocked when my hair started doing it and couldn't figure out why. I lost so much hair just detangling it😢
Crystal. You are an excellent hair stylist and I enjoy watching your content. I was in the hair care business and had a very rewarding experience. People are going to be people and I respect you for speaking up when you need to. Such a professional.
Crystal, your discussion with the client was very helpful and not rude in any way. You were telling her things that she know that was helpful in keeping her hair from breaking off. Thank you for sharing. 💕
It is so frustrating when sound advice is given with a sincere heart and then the other party TOTALLY discard it. We are ADULTS and after informing them of the correct manner to care for their hair, if they decide to ignore it, then the blame is solely theirs. I do not think you were unkind or rude but just matter -pf-factly, and quite honrst, with no hateful or nasty tone. Honesty is always the best policy, and I appreciate your candid, honest manner. You were still professional and kind so if anyone finds fault with your presentation of facts then they were just looking for anything to criticize. Continue Crystal with what you do, you are a class act, and a refreshing change from the other stylists I have seen pnline!!!! Well done!!!!
Crystal, I learn so much from you that helps me also with taking care of my hair in between visits to my stylist. Being firm shouldn’t be taken as being mean. Stylists are professionals who know our hair the best and educate how to keep it healthy. Appreciate you!❤
From watching the video, she said that the lady is experiencing excessive shedding and wasn’t using proper use of the Olaplex system… so she needs to cover her bases and give her a proper protein treatment and follow that up with lots of moisture to balance it out. I’m not a stylist but I do this on my hair as well and give myself a trim since I can’t find stylists here 😅
I wish someone told me this like 20-30yrs ago when I was younger I have the same hair type and it was difficult to find someone who was able to do my hair professionally so I stick to braids a lot and I really learned the hard way 😢 I’m happy that you are educating her not many people can do our type of hair without pulling a lot of hair out trying to detangle it
I wish I had you for my stylist because some of them want to do whatever. I listen to everything you say I’ve purchased all of your products also ❤ TY!!! For being you!
Why did her Hair go from Permed Texture 10:32 to Afro FRIED mini DREADS ? 😳 21:28 25:00 Then the Blow Dryer CANT get Through it! 27:22 😞 PROTEIN OVERLOAD!😳
Yeah, I was like why is she using protein if she said the olaplex mimics protein and the client's overuse made her hair hard. Why add more protein?🤦🏾♀️
Crystal, I love your honesty. You are not a bad person, you are merely trying to help your client with good advice on how to take care of her hair. I wish my hairdresser would advise me on what I need to do to keep my hair looking nice on a daily basis after I leave the salon. In my personal opinion, keep doing what you are doing with your clients and stay strong. I talked to my hairdresser about how intelligent you are with your client's hair. I love you. All you are doing is because you care about your clients.
This was a good video. Question. Why give her a protein treatment when she is already suffering from a protein treatment overload? I know you said your protein product is designed to also hydrate the hair but it's still protein. Why add more protein when the protein overload is the problem?
Technically Olaplex is not a protein treatment, it’s a bond building treatment. I’m curious if she’s saying protein just to make it relatable to the patient. I think it’s the clients other practices that were discussed (eggs in hair, wetting hair daily) that is her bigger issue.
I love how you are educating your client. I do not believe most stylists would take the time to do what you just did in this video. New subscriber here!
What I’m witnessing here today is a lost art ! 😔 this is what we’re missing in the hair industry. The way you’re breaking each step, and process down in order for your client to get a better understanding of her hair speaks volume. Wow 😮I have a better understanding of what each step really means for healthy hair growth. Thank you 🙏 24:55
I really enjoyed this video, I love that you educate us on what to do with our hair. Tell it like it is, if she keeps doing the same damaging procedure to her hair she's going to get the same result. After you have gone over instructions several times before of what not to do🤔. I order and use your products and I love them. Keep doing the amazing work you are doing😍💖🌹🌹
Crystal you were not rude at all. You were educating her once again, and she is sharp, and knows what you’ve taught her but just didn’t follow. I remember her beautiful head! I hope she listens this time! Have a great weekend!
Crystal you know your lady! I wish I could find someone where I live that is truly into hair care. I am 58 and natural and my hair is acting up and I really need to get with someone that can guide me through a healthy hair care routine! I love your work!
Thank you for being transparent and to the point. That’s why I enjoy your videos. You are truly Blessed through reaching out and teaching us about taking care of our hair.
She hears you but I don't get that she's listening. With some clients, you can explain their issues until the cows come home and they will still do what they do just because. This is frustrating. So when the shedding continues, they want to blame the stylist and not anything they're doing. I stick to my older clients. It's never a fight with them. This was a much needed post!!!
Crystal I have learned so much by watching your videos. You were very kind, patient and caring in your tone and explanation to the young lady. I want healthy hair, if growth comes along with that, that's great. I purchased the biotin shampoo and conditioner, the clarifying shampoo, the mask and edge control. I wish you were local or close enough to take care of my hair. I also have hyperthyroidism, if there's anything else that would be helpful, please I welcome your professional advice
I like how you explain to your client what you are doing and how long. Directions on combing and which products do what to the hair. Great!!! Love it. 👍🤔💕
Her hair did look like a Beautiful Yaki straight texture in the end. So Beautiful & Love it! Great Job! Also, it looks like she didn't have a whole bunch of shedding while detangling besides the little bit we saw early in the video unless I missed it. So you go gurl! Thanks again for sharing! I learned a lot for improvements I can make! Thank you & Blessings!❤
I wish I had a stylist or beautician like you who would tell me the best things to do for my hair, to help me retain hair on my head. At least 2 beauticians wrecked my hair and 1 considered himself a stylist to the stars. That was BS. When you teach or explain to the clients some are unteachable and want to stay ignorant. I think its great. You are gifted...for those who don't like your approach they need to click off it aint for you. 🤩🤩🤩🤩
Hi love thank you for the video . I needed this and it cleared up everything I had questions about! Your explanations are clear and direct and if it were me I’d appreciate the help. I thought I messed up my hair but now I know it’s a direct process and patience I need to incorporate in my hair journey. Thanks again love ! ❤See you soon !!
If you have told her 2 previous times what to use and how to care for her hair, she’s not listening. She comes to you to fix the damage she’s caused. I’ve seen your clients that do listen to you and use your products and their hair is beautiful. You’re not being rude to her you’re trying to educate her. Her hair is never going to grow as long as she wants it to be unless she takes your professional advice. She’s lucky she has someone as learned as you to try and help her. Just sayin!!!!!
I love it this was excllecnce so professionally just order some of ur products for me and my girls earlier this morning I been watching for like 2 years or more this was the truth Period!!!!
In my relaxed days, my Beautician put me on a regime that consisted of: Washing, deep conditioning and adding leave-conditoner before blow drying every week for 5 weeks. However, on the 4th week, i would do a 10 minute protein treatment and the deep condition , leave-in and blow dry. On the 6th week my stylist would give me a touch up(only on my roots) and the n shampoo, deep condition, add leave-in and roller set under the dryer. My stylist was very straight forward when it came to the reality of relaxed hair. She stated that relaxing your hair is damaging your hair because it breaks all the structural bonds that your hair naturally has in order to achieve a loose or straight pattern. She also stated that because of this, relaxed hair is alot weaker than the natural hair that comes from your scalp and needs to "babied" more. A good consistent regime will keep your relaxed hair from extreme breakage and your excessive hair fall. My relaxed hair was down my back and looked really food because of my Stylist and regime she put me on. So, i must say that your video content was very refreshing to hear. 😊
That's what I was thinking. Looks kind of rough, especially on wet hair. That's why I detangle before hand. I'd rather take my time and be gentle than have someone rip through it because they want to get it done.
She is correct 100 💯 👏 because when you ladies go out in the world, you all don't tell the truth that it's YOU why your hair is damaged. I had a client like that she would over relaxing her hair because her unhealthy relationship with her hair was from her not loving her natural hair. I drop her off because one of my healthy work is what speaks for itself and gets me more clients. Not you wanting what you think is good because if the now look. Yes, I believe there are women out there who just don't want to do their own hair that why we still can do business. However it a relationship, we have to be on the same page. Not my good name of you creating unhealthy hair, Cut off I will. If you want B. S. Go let these new school hairstylist do your hair with there crazy price and damaged services 😂. Do not stop teaching and educating the world of healthy hair. @Crystal, you go queen, thank you for the truth 🙏
🫣I really h8 to say this and Im not a stylist but the hair got worst after that protein treatment that was added. It was very pliable before. And I noticed you didnt fully detangle on that last conditioner. Comb couldnt go thru on wet, relaxed hair??😳 Not trying to be rude but the hair looked rotted or fried before the blowdry, Why?😢 I cant help but think that whoever is responsible for relaxing the hair in the first place did the client dirty. It had alot of poofy sections mixed with alot of straight sections. I believe the client will eventually cut this hair off I just wanted to know if anyone else notice somethings thay I noticed?
Great video....And you are soo right, about hair having, a mind of it's own... I've been wearing a part, on the left side, of my head..For 50 plus years...No matter how I style it...My hair always, seems to..Fall back on that part..😅😅 ..
Now, what about a super tender head with a relaxer. What products should be used??? Also, suffering from graves disease where the medication is causing hair loss. What would you tell this client??
