She Kicked off an entire series for the UK and was literally THE VOICE that year. I’ll never forget when I first watched her the first year. But they honestly did her kind of dirty after she won imo

It's unusual to find a voice that doesn't get thin when reaching into higher registers. Leanne Mitchell paid heed to Sir Tom, worked hard, and proved wonderfully successful! Win or lose in any vocal contest, she's taking with her a much greater prize: her VOICE.

Hello amazing fan. Thank you for your beautiful comment. I’ve seen a whole lot of “RIP” attached to my name all over the internet. This is the reason I decided to debunk this false new of my demise. Late Ton Jones was the one who conceived the twist on Romeo and Juliet with composer, John Donald Robb. He died on the 11th of August of cancer in his home in Sharon. What I like about these competions is that everyone is worth the effort and shows talent and grace.

To this day, I still feel Leanne is the best singer to have appeared on any of the Voice shows. I have yet to hear anyone else do as she does so consistently- sing with support, ON THE BREATH. Her vocal lines contain silky smooth legato, and her intonation is very even, as a result of the solid breath support. Yes, she does oversing quite a bit, however when she tones it down, she's still phenomenal. And whether she's belting or using lilting floaty head voice, her control is masterful. I cannot stress enough, Leanne is the most technically proficient vocalist on any of the Voice show iterations. I am still bowled over by her talent today as I was 7 years ago.

Curious on other voice contestants who have amazing vocal mastery? I think Sisaundra lewis and definitely Wendy Moten most recently, there's a few more I can't think of.

If Leanne won in 2012, I'm surprised she didn't get as famous as Adele. She's got the pipes and the looks. Maybe if she was also a songwriter... She'd be fabulous on Broadway / London's West end musicals.

You could really see how well she was coached. She gained more confidence & looked great in that black pantsuit! She's very pretty& can deliver a tune.

What's distressing is that her career flopped before it got off the ground. Even though she won,her record went straight to the basement. All the talent in the world won't save you if the public just won't buy your record. It's a shame, because she IS so talented. I hope she could get her old job back.

She didn't flop. She came into the market at a disadvantage. All voice winners do. The image the public has of you is one of "everyone can succeed". Once you actually do, they are on to the next story. To TRULY succeed at performing, you have to be larger than life. The Voice contestants are not presented as that. So, she can still do it, but she'll have to work very hard to overcome the public's notions of her.
