If I was there I would say no , it’s not the wife duty to make rice and breakfast. It’s so annoying that if you are a woman, people expect from you to do all the typical woman things. No, if the husband wants to eat rice then he can do it. She works as much as her husband and she is busy with the kid as well so his husband can cook if he want.
I feel this 100%. My grandma was surpised when she found out that i don't cook for my Significant other. He normally diets pretty strictly so he makes his own stuff while my diet is a vegan diet, our schedules are also the opposite so we never get to eat together, and we both clean/ take care of the house. She scolded me because he does his own cooking and said that i should be the one cleaning not him.
Nayeli I’m vegan too but my partner is vegetarian. We both split cooking and cleaning 50/50. The base of anything we cook is vegan and he adds no -vegan sides if he feels like it. We both work so it makes sense to both do equal chores. Though we don’t even have to discuss or think about it, we naturally just clean up after ourselves! I enjoy my modern relationship lol

I'm from Southeast Asia can relate that because since childhood we used to eat rice and it feels not full if we haven't eaten rice 😂 But someday if I have kids I will let my kids choose for themselves what they want whether it's cereal or rice .
Most Europeans don’t have chocolate cereal for breakfast. It’s usually porridge, or muesli with fruits. You can also have variations on a western breakfast that are more filling eggs, toast, and some kind of meat (bacon, sausages etc) are staples. In some places like the UK there may be beans, mushrooms, and tomatoes. But I also don’t get why he can’t prep his own breakfast if he’s craving some rice/ something more filling. And I do agree that parent shaming shouldn’t be a thing as they show him eating rice and kimchi in that clip that shows this isn’t probably ALWAYS the case.

@@harumicha i'm south east asian too but from where i'm from most people prefer to eat noodles for breakfast. It's less heavier and healthier than eating rice plus it's really nice to drink hot soup/broth in the morning.

It's amazing on how beauty standards can change according to where you live. In my own state I'm considered ugly, but when I'm travelling to my relatives town, their friends tell me I'm good looking. All in the same country, but different states. I'm very impressed.
