You would be upset too if you were basically told you have to give up money that you worked for to someone who didn't have to work for it, and also that you cant even ask for money from that person and not only does that person get your money they get to keep any money they get, how is that fair.

@Isometric Shahil I'm not Muslim but I'm looking into Islam, the reason why I wrote my comment is because it seems like from what ive heard men have to contribute money, protection, and moral support to women, but women only have to contribute moral support wich seems like an unfair deal to me, and I'll admit that my previous comment was a little disrespectful and I'm sorry for that but I still dont see how its a fair deal.

For my dowry I really don't want it to be too big, just something he can afford comfortably or easily so we just live ♡halal♡ Is because it can be an indication that he can take care of you right? So it should be an indication what he can give as nafaqah after marriage to manage the household. Truly it doesn't have to be a lot but a halal job is a non-negotiable♡

I really hope, lots of people knowing these ayah... i see a lot of struggling mothers, can't even complain about finance to the husband since *"Wife must always obeys the husband"*, while in fact, a lot of woman around me spend the money for the house bills, children needs, ingridient for food that the husband likes... i'm not blaming the husband that doesn't know, i hope they wont hurt people who truly cares about them

But, I think the topic and discussion should be balanced out because a wife's whole time is her husbands right and she can't do any job without his permission if he is paying for her everything. According to today's routine womens are doing job without their husbands permission and trying to be independent and not giving proper time to their husband or child which is their duty and first priority according to Islam. So that thing is also needed to be discussed with which have been discussed in this video, so there will not be any confusion or misuse of this discussion from females side. I hope I have cleared my point.

women have to obey their husband, they go through childbirth ( a process that might even kill you) , She has to take care of and educate the kids, you want to make sure that your kids are safe when you leave the house, Just like how you take care of her in your way, she will also take care of you by making you food , taking care of the house, and keeping the house in peace. she has to leave her family, where she has her father who can protect her, and is willing to put her trust in you that you will protect her now. So she is leaving her protecter, coming to you, hoping you can protect her. ,she can help you fulfil your manly desires, she can be a shoulder you can cry on, she can be by your side in difficult times, she can be a source of peace for you. I hope these can help a bit.

NO, you don't get it. She has rights to all your money, and you can decide together on what to spend, without manipulation from your side. She needs a salary too and to be a normal part of society. Of course, you can spend on your needs too. Basically, she deserves a minimum 50% of your income or what's left after paying for necessities. Everything must be fair. You can't decide that her portion is $10 a month, and expect God to be happy with you. It goes against God. For example if you earn $1000 a month, let's say $250 for expenses, $250 for food, $250 for you, $250 for her. She is your equal. Your money is her money, so you both should decide on everything together, so both parties are happy. You can't spend her portion of money on food, or on other things, cause it's never enough. Even if you earn $500 a month, at least a little bit should be given to her, after all expenses were paid. She is not a man. She is a woman and she has her expenses and life. She is not your worker, where you decide her salary however you please. It is wild.

The needs and wants of men and women don't change. Women still carry babies, give birth, breastfeed, and do childcare among other domestic labor. Men still want to be viewed as "the man of the house" and want loyalty. So many men complain that their wives don't respect or appreciate then or that they cheat. Well, a man cannot be the man of the house if he isn't the breadwinner. He can't expect loyalty or for her to carry babies and cook and clean for free.

Yes I am supposed to spend my money on my family but that does not mean my money is hers. She can’t just take my money whenever she wants. If I’m responsible for my family then I get to decide how the money is spent. A wife keeps 100% of her money through Allah given rights but that does not mean it’s bad for her to spend on her family. I would imagine it’s actually rewarded to help ease her Husband’s stress. And if the husband says he does not want his wife to work then she should obey. “Your money is hers” is just buzz phrase used to get views. No doubt both men and women will be questioned on how they spent their money and how they treated their spouses. May Allah guide us to success as individuals, as families, and as an Ummah.
