If you read up on her history she has a long history of violent behavior. Domestic abuse, vandalism, stalking, fighting, disorderly conduct, drunk and disorderly. She needs to be locked away for the safety of herself and others.
What she needs is mental health help, the government would just rather criminalize people with issues. More often than not this kind of behavior (repeated crimes) is evidence she has something going on upstairs. Poor thing is probably gonna drink herself to death after making her whole family hate her.
@@Chris-ew7pbWhy is it the government's fault a person has a mental issue? If someone is mental they can help themselves or family members. It is nothing to do with the government. Do people likebyou actually think for yourselves or do you want the government to do that for you to?
She does need to be in prison, but even though prison is meant to punish, it'd be unjustifiably horrible times for the other prisoners. 😂 Solitary? Or mental facility?
There isn’t enough context… if the lady was having a bad day and cussed out a cop while passing by and his feelings were hurt enough to chase down this woman, not really a reason to call mental health awareness…
She seems to have psychosis, talking about being filmed "for years" and "all the cameras" everywhere. "I know you're in on it," etc. It must be horrible not to know what reality is. The cops dealt with her so well.
@@Iverath My brother deals with that condition, and it IS hard to feel sorry for him, when he's disrupting my life for being bonkers and rude. But, really, they are indeed sick.
@@garysmith7760those institutions in the past were closed because of the absence of humanity. So a better, different system of institutions needs to happen.
It really doesn't matter if she tried to use the tool as a weapon. The fact she is holding in and fighting with the officer, it becomes an aggravated assault. Just like if she was holding a knife.
She's got a narrative going on inside her head where all the things she says make sense to her in some way, and she doesn't realize that people outside her head don't know what the story is about.
Mental illness is so heartbreaking. You are right, she does have her own reality. We have been dealing with someone like her for about 12yrs now. We have kept all of the threatening letters she has written us over the years. They seem like random words on the surface but occasionally a sentence seems to be understandable but then quickly disappears back into random words. We just found out yesterday that she was released from the facility and the harassment has already begun, I'm sure the death threats will resume also.
That flat fix tool protruding from her fist is a deadly weapon. One punch could put it through the officer's eyeball and into his brain. Anywhere else on the body, a deep dangerous puncture wound. Also, when she slipped our of the handcuffs, having cuffs on one wrist makes a dangerous flail weapon. Officer was absolutely right to tase her quickly in that case. If she's this aggressive and belligerent to on-duty cops, imagine having the misfortune of dealing with her as an average citizen?!? People like this Absolutely need to be taken off the streets, she's incapable of getting along peacefully in a free society.
My thoughts exactly ; from the film clip , you can see she is clearly holding it ready to do "damage'" , as she has probably done many times before . Cars / Property / Humans - all fair game to her . No sympathy whatsoever . This is clearly a life choice . Ask yourself : how much damage has that F.F.T. done over the days / weeks/ months / years ? The worrying thing ? She'll be at it again soon .
The legal implication here was not unjustified use of a taser by the officer, as it was obviously needed, but the rather short time between them warning her and actually tasing her. If you look closely, she is laying on her arms, with her weight pressing them to the ground, the officer's knee doesn't help either. In order to put her hands back she would have to lift her body up, which was essentially impossible, as you can see the officer pressing her further down when she attempts to lift herself off the ground. Of course she could say that she's going to comply which she adamantly doesn't plan on doing lol, hence the tasing
She was told multiple times by the first officer she would be tased if she didn’t listen she had ample time to straighten her shit up. She got what she deserved.
In this case, having no such institutions available again, YET, her needs take second priority behind the innocent PUBLIC’S needs. You make a good point.
Over 10 years ago I worked on a government survey, to help determine the need for mental health institutions. It was pretty apparent, the data said we need more facilities, but I feel like the funding was diverted elsewhere. 🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
@@Sandi-ke9miYeah, but think about it. If we used that money for mental institutions, how are we gonna afford to build another tank, or buy more guns, or send that rocket to space?
Yeah she clearly just needs treatment. Insanity defense is usually bogus but sometimes it's just legit. Even a layman can see schizophrenic symptoms here.
So... am I the only one who immediately caught this as a clearly untreated paranoid schizophrenic? I've known people who have this disorder, and the whole "YOU'VE BEEN VIDEOTAPING ME FOR YEARS!" thing just screams delusions of persecution. I feel bad for this woman, I hope she gets help.
I don't see it that way. She clearly has a history of being arrested...for a variety of public order, vandalism, assault offences etc. In which case she would, in absolute fact, have been video-taped with body cams and dash cams on multiple occasions and that would have been produced in court. So I don't see her saying this as evidence of paranoia because it has actually happened. But clearly she has mental issues....and I would suggest that is down to substance abuse, among other things.
Can you honestly say she's paranoid about being filmed and put on "TV" when she's literally being filmed and put on RU-vid? I mean she wasn't wrong this time.
Maybe a judge should order a mental health hold so they can place her in a psyche ward for eval and treatment? If she has mental health issues and is using narcotics, this cycle will just keep going on until she hurts someone real bad.
She's just gunna end up on the streets again, funding for that sort of thing is abysmal in less populated or "criminal" locations. Hundreds of little towns with small homeless populations, little communities in woods near superstores.
Yeah, they tend to treat eachother better in those small towns too. Which is I think the only thing to offset not having proper assistance and support (not that it makes up for the lack of it)@@Veltrosstho
I work with a lady that behaves exactly like this. No one likes working with her. She insults anyone she works with and management won’t do a damn thing to get rid of her.
@@evalunlocathere are plenty of people in the workforce that have schizophrenia or other mental illnesses. My aunt has what they call DID or multiple personality disorder as it was when she was diagnosed. Her oldest personality is 12yo. She drives, worked at este lauder as a cosmologist for about ten years before she medically retired bc of her back injury. She act like this at work but I know of people who do. My husband has a housekeeper (senior living facility) who has four wrote ups and just did a no call no show and has the attitude to go with it and she still has a job.
@@maryjane4432Ah yes, DID. Acronym for "Disassociative Identity Disorder". My dad's girlfriend has that too. I forgot the exact number but I was told she has somewhere around 100 personalities, which I can't wrap my head around... 🤯🤯🤯
So you have a woman at work who is delusional and physically attacks everyone and keys their cars and they wont get rid of her? I call BS. When you said 'she behaves exactly like this' i suspect is a HUGE over exaggeration!
You know she's got a list of misdemeanors a mile long and that every cop on the force is already familiar with her. They probably draw straws to see who has to deal with her every time they get a call. Although this interaction seems slightly aggressive to me, I don't think it's the first time and that might explain some of their actions. She's not delusional about a TV show. She very specifically references the body cams. She's probably been viral before, at least locally.
AGGRESSIVE, FFSake ElSantoLuchador, do you think kicking and resisting like she did repeatedly wasn't aggressive on HER part. What the hell were the police supposed to do? Aggressive? Hell, they did what they NEEDED to do to get her to the hospital because even the EMTs didn't want to deal with her. Maybe you should get in your car and go take care of her instead with your non-aggressive way.
"If I had a dollar every time someone told me that, I could retire right now." One of the best non-combative comebacks I've heard, I feel bad for all of them.
I was a PCA for elderly with dementia. I could handle most of the male patients but some of the females honestly had crackhead strength. Granted their reality was skewed and sometimes fear and adrenaline has a play. But I dealt with the same people for 2 years and it was sad how bad they would get.
Ms. Brie is one of those individuals that EVERYONE in the community- LE, DSS, hospitals, courts, managers of homeless shelters etc. instantly nods affirmatively and says “Oh, HER” at the mere mention of her first name. If you received frequent flier miles for the number of interactions one has with “the system” she’d be flying around the world, FC, for years. The question is, what becomes of this wreck after she’s released from the DOC. All her charges will probably get pled out and knocked back to a single felony charge and some misdemeanors. Likely out in less than 5 years. Then what? She can’t (or shouldn’t) be placed in an adult group home- she’s too dangerous. And DSS (at taxpayer expense) setting her up to live alone, even with daily check-ins and monitoring- I don’t see that turning out any better than a group home. Gonna trust her to take meds as prescribed, even court ordered medication? Good luck. No good solution and no quick answers for this deeply disturbed woman. She turns viciously on the very people trying to help her.
Absolutely this. You try and try and try, and beg for them to make a change. To try and take care of themselves. But they don’t care. And people love to take these cases and go “LOOK! Healthcare system failed them!” But you can’t make someone care- you can only do so much for people like this.
Properly funded and regulated asylums are the answer. People like this cannot function in society nor will they ever seek help on their own, they belong in padded rooms for their own safety and the safety of others.
@@AlasBabylonxx I haven't seen it yet, but I just wanted to respond that many people can't "just change" on their own. I think a lot of the time people give up b/c others have given up on them long ago. I speak from experience. I feel society is very cold these days, or maybe I'm just getting older, but I think people used to care more. The past 20 years have slowly gotten worse, at least from my perspective. For the record, the "healthcare" system failed my Aunt, myself, my friends. A lot of people died due to a failure of our systems and I probably won't be around much longer. Gaslighting is far too common, and if you aren't at least middle class, you aren't getting any help from any Dr. I call it the "Medical Merry-Go-Round."
@jaelynn7575 I feel like you just have a really negative outlook on everything. I lived in a small town (like 400 people small) and we definitely care about our neighbors, and their families. My neighbor rescued my dog from being hit by a loose car (brakes went out and it started rolling), there's been many instances where the neighbors provided medical attention for others in my town. Also, healthcare is definitely not reserved for only middle class. That's what state health insurance is for. I live near Austin TX now and even I can afford a doctor's appointment and I live in a studio apartment while making $14/hr. It isn't impossible. 😅
She needs meds to make her stare at the wall and drool just like Bruce Willis's character in 12 Monkeys movie, or, a couple doses of shock treatment. That ladies brain is fried.
5:30 I disagree here; they have given her multiple warnings to comply or be tazed. She continued to be combative at every point to here. Maybe the last warning was brief, but she had been warned at least three times before.
Shes insanely psychotic. She assaulted the officer from minute 1 kicking him, hitting him. She was keying vehicles so she was being arrested from the minute he pulled up and told her to stop yet she ran. Many crimes committed by her. She shouldnt be allowed in society.
You expressed the same thoughts I have as well, she definitely should not be allowed in society. And that's what scares me the most, that there's people like this walking around.
This reminded me of a theory I once heard. They said that some people hide in chaos. They keep causing more drama and bring about chaos because that way they can't sit still enough to have a look at themselves.
There’s ‘mad’ and there’s ‘bad’. I think we’re dealing with naughtiness personified, with a smidge of anger at authority. I tell you what though she’s not ageing well - only 41. I see those folks when they come through the those doors. You can imagine the joy that that brings to my life!
This is beyond drugs or mental health.... she seems genuinely hateful as a human... I'm not saying she's NOT crazy... But she's never been a joy, I'd bet..
I’d like to point out that you said when she got tased he didn’t really void much time. He said it many times before he said it several times right before he did actually taste her. So I believe she had many warnings and didn’t comply when she was in the complete wrong then what did she expect?
@@btnhstillfire i think that comment and others like it on this channel are kind of an unbiased, giving all sides type thing. that's how i take it anyway. like, whether the people behind the vid personally believe it wasn't enough time or not, it's definitely a debate that i can see happening

Pretty sure this person doesn't know what the law even is in her state. She thinks people have been filming her for years for TV, she's driving INTO traffic keying vehicles on her bike, she clearly lives in a different reality than you or I.
Funny, I was just thinking about how scary it is cops can't recognize that the woman is obviously seriously mentally ill and thus not rational to respond like a reasonable person to commands... and here you are showing us how this happens, I guess. Dude, shes talking about people filming her, and mysterious "producers" the cops work for, even if you don't know somebody who knows somebody who has a schizophrenic cousin, surely you've seen a movie or two right?
Not sure what platform its on but its exactly the same just w a central hub area where 3 hosts kind of talk about the situations going on and transfer the audience to another city where they have camera crews
Well she is clearly mentally ill as she believes communists are stalking her for reality TV. If you believed illegitimate authorities were hunting you down as part of a sick game i think you'd protest too right?
It is quite obvious that this lady is playing with a bad hand. Now, there are those who have been dealt a hand this bad, and there are those who messed up the good hand they were dealt, and I don't know that we can determine which one she is by watching this video. However, I can tell you this, whatever has hold of her has taken any control she has/or has had away from her. We all do stuff that we regret, and we all have things we have no control over, and no matter which one is true, we all need to have someone willing to come to our defense. Otherwise, what is the point of going on.
I'm not defending her or the police but she obviously has severe mental health issues that police are not trained for nor will jail/prison do any good. She will get out and do the same, she needs to be an institution!
Not Me!! She's Awful. She got Arrested for a Reason. Plus she wasn't listening or following instructions. It was Her Fault she got Tazed. If they Told me I was gonna be Tazed I Would Comply So Fast!! She Shouldn't be Playing STUPID Games!! 😠😠😠😠👎
I would be like “Ok listen lady we don’t have much time. The sunshine people have been waiting for you. You were chosen long ago, long before you were even born, and now your time has come to learn your true identity. You are the only one who can save us! Quick, come with me; the fate of the world is in your hands now!”
I used this technique several times before….said something that was stranger than they said and it totally snapped them out of the mental state they were currently having….
I do feel sorry for her. She is obviously psychotic and isn't taking her medication. The best place she can be is in hospital. Good on those officers for recognizing her condition and not taking it personally.
@@IZaubermausIit’s really sad. My cousin recently died because he stopped taking his meds (he had paranoid schizophrenia) and ran away, convinced he was being stalked. He ended up using street drugs to try to self medicate but he overdosed. It’s really sad how common it is :(
as somone who was wrongly put into an institution as a child, they are not good for anyone, they make conditions ripe for abuse of power with little to no consequences for those who harm to patients, we need to fix society as a whole, institutions are not the answer, theres a reson there arent many around
Society created her. Back in the 90s, Society didn't fail her, it taught her to be an aggressive feminist. Society rewarded her misguided aggression. Add to that a few decades of daily birth control chemicals. Who knows what the ingredients in those are... or when the recipe is changed.
What fails these people are the weak mental health laws that prevent forcing treatment on them. I can see why it may become abusive to force people to take treatment, and this is why the laws are what they are. But the problem is that society does NOT know this: look, there is hardly a way to force people to be medicated, and no, "therapy" won't fix this.
I walked in on my husband watching an EWU video! He usually dislikes true crime so I was pleasantly surprised (but angry bc we could’ve watched together!) 😂
I recently saw that a woman in Germany cussed out the police and she was arrested for it. Could you imagine if there was a law against cussing out the police in the US?😂
I live in Germany and odd as it may seem ,our society functions .Problems at times but compared to what I see on here we are civilised .Only find similar in UK. No point in law unless you have order .
There should be!! I live in America and I would've assumed that, it was against the law. IDK, maybe that's just how I was raised... To treat authority with respect, but that's just me... LOL
We need to address this entire culture of untreated trauma and mental health issues rather than locking up lost souls like this. We have to do better as a country.
This is what meth induced psychosis looks like, I used to be an addict and I’ve seen it so many times, the way she thinks this is a video production is way more common then you’d think!
Because there are no more long term publicly funded psych hospitals, which are very much needed by a small percentage of the population. Once the public psych institutions closed down, these sorts of folks just cycle between homelessness and jail unless their families are super wealthy and able and willing to pay for a full-time care team for their loved one.
Because foolish people decided that mental institutions aka insane asylums were "cruel and unusual punishment",& that the crazy people should be "freed"...and no longer properly cared for, monitored, and medicated. Unfortunately, the result only meant more homeless, more insane people incarcerated in the now privately-owned prisons,& yes, more deaths. Closing the publicly funded mental hospitals and letting these people "free" to fend for themselves makes as much sense as the PETA idiots who broke into a lab and "freed" all the white mice...which had no ability whatsoever to survive in the wild,& either succumbed to heat, cold, shock, starvation or predators. Now THAT was cruel.
Her constant paranoia about being filmed and expecting them to bring all the cameras or the "sunshine people" seem to be textbook symptoms of psychosis.
This was something I encountered as a mental health professional and later as an attorney. Problem is that even with the best psychiatric treatment, she may never get better. Psychosis can be genetic, or substance induced. Medication and good support can do a lot for those with genetic causes, but with substance abuse, it's more difficult. Each time they relapse the chance of recovery gets worse. I've dealt with people who haven't used in years, but their psychosis appears to be permanent.
This is so sad. That woman needs help. Why is society failing her? Put her away and get her off the streets and into the care of those who can help her.
I'm exhausted watching what these poor officers have had to go through here. They did their job professionally and kept their cool during her many attempts to hurt/abuse them physically/verbally. Well done Officers!
You know what irritates me though? The officer kept threatening to tase her and never did, just letting her kick and be an ass. He also told her to get up or he’d drag her then ge says “we can sit here all day”. I think that’s one reason people act like jerks, because they know officers will threaten and almost never follow through. I know a lot of officers are probably scared of being disciplined or sued, but damn, maybe if there was follow through, people would know they couldn’t get away with acting like two year olds
Say what you want but she is damn hilarious and took that taser like more of a bad ass than the toughest criminals I've seen watching these types of videos. "Ma'am stop I'm not playing with you" "I'VE BEEN PLAYING WITH YOU FOR YEARS!!!" lmfao
Nah she’s just a pillhead. I work in healthcare & have met many people with the targeted individual delusion, they are usually very subdued in their actions
