Very fun to hear the TJB version of this classic Chuck Mangione piece. It's like two different flavors of the same great dessert.

Much respect to Herb Alpert. An amazing entertainer, businessman, and compassionate human being. Though, when he says "this is one of our newer songs" without crediting composer Chuck Mangione it doesn't sit right. His audience might mistakenly believe that this was a TJB original rather than a cover.

"One of our new songs?" Great that Herb Alpert is playing this song, but Um, you may want to mention that Chuck wrote it.... Maybe he did at the end. I didn't hang all the way.

He gave the Chuck Mangione song a little Herb Alpert flavor-a little more laid back a west coast chill.

Chuck was signed to A&M the same year this was taped - 1974.

Man, I like Herb, but he should have credited Chuck Mangione with the song. The implication is that Herb wrote it. He didn't. Nice job, though.

Every time I see the guy with the trombone in this clip, he makes me think of Mike Wolf on American Pickers.
