Valerian makes me wired, definitely has an opposite effect on me...tried it 3 different times, to make sure it wasn't a fluke, sure enough, I can not take it for sleep.
As with pharmaceutical medication one must be careful with Herbs. For example LINDEN May offer many health benefits but long-term use can cause heart damage and not suitable for also not for children, Pregnancy or nursing. Also valerian should not be taken if someone is taking any form of anti-depressant. It is always advisable to check suitability of any herb before taking. This is a lovely sleep tea recipe well done.
So I’m new to herbs and I did purchase some of those herbs (valerian, chamomile, Egyptian chamomile, lavender, and passion flower), but I now see where I went wrong. I failed to have a catalyst causing it to taste far too earthy for my liking… I’m going to attempt to make it again after I decide on a catalyst. Also I found it did NOT help with my SEVERE INSOMNIA (have you any suggestions), I transitioned from big pharma sedatives in June and I’ve been struggling with sleep ever since! Please any advice would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.
So if you drink four cups of herbal tea a day,you have your average like 1.5 litre of fluid. So you also have to drink at least a few cups of clean water, to flush your kidneys. This amount will lessen the electrolytes,so how does one solve that, following your description on herbal teas? ( I did not mean this tea for sleeping better)😊
I would say that because most herbs are going to put minerals into the body, it shouldn't be an issue. Most of my teachers just include a medicinal herbal tea as part of water requirements.
I sometimes have this in the back of my mind but ultimately, out of all the things that I am doing for this work/channel/in my career, monitoring my expressive communication will not be close to the top of the list.
Where can I get these herbs? I am a recovering heroin addict so I somtimes feel parinoa. And I can't relax. What herb will be more effective for my problem??
thats a trickier question. I would suggest seeing if you have a clinical practitioner you can access to help you directly with this to make good recommendations and get you on the right track! do some looking into blue vervain, kava, skullcap, passionflower, and valerian in the meantime, but see if you can seek out more clinical help! there are a few lowcost or free herbal clinics in some major cities as well. I will try and put together some resources over the next few weeks around the country!
