Have you ever noticed that, when Hercules cut off the Hydra's head for the first time, the moment Hades said: "Relax, it's only halftime" it is actually the halfway point of the movie ??
I loved this movie growing up. It was my introduction to mythology and the incredible stories that come with it. It's even funnier when u learn how wildly inaccurate to mythological stories the movie is. I love that you pointed out that hera isn't actually Hercules's mother. Great reaction
The scene that made me laugh the hardest in theaters was when the titans were going in the wrong direction. 🤣😄 Hades: “Uh guys. Olympus would be that way.” Titans…. ZEUS!
The goddess in this is Hera and in Greek mythology she hates him, because Hercules was a product of one of Zeus' many affairs!! Hades although shown in a bad light was actually a more neutral Demi God...
The choice to make the music in a gospel style was brilliant. Also my man’s on the left is holding on for dear life throughout this whole video. Was he too baked or is he just tired?
The music on this movie is absolutely wonderful. My two year olds loves the muses and would dance whenever they sing a song. Especially the intro song, and would try and sing to it. Like why can’t Disney music go this hard anymore.
In the Aladdin animated series teenage Hercules makes a crossover. Man I would have beat hades easily. Have em out here like Ooh piece of candy … oooh piece of candy.
27:04 the tornado grabbing has actually been done. Not so much with bare hands, but with the lasso and a gun by the one and only Pecos bill 30:35 Hercules and xenon the Warrior princess they actually have an animated movie together You guys should also check out the 90s or early 2000s Hercules the series it's sort of a prequel to the movie before he met Meg
One thing I never understood about real Greek mythology is how are the titans weaker than the Gods? And then same for the gods children. Idk if anyone knows the answers tell me.
They aren't. The Gods had a lot of help during the Titanomachy (Titan War). In fact some of the Titans sided with the Gods. The Gods also had help from the Cyclops, making powerful weapons for them.
I seperate the 3D animated from the hand-drawn cartoon movies. Hercules is easily a top 5 Disney cartoon film, might be top 3 imo. This movie is timeless. Absolute fire 🔥🔥🔥
Good old 90s Classic Disney! Another one you guys should check out is The Hunchback Of Notre Dame. It’s such an amazing film and so well written too. 😊
Interesting fact: the Hydra was done in CGI, which at the time was very expensive to work with, so much so that the movie went over budget. James Woods (Hades) took a pay cut so that they could finish the film within the budget.
Man I love this movie and how they stitched together myths. Like Pegasus... who was born out of the corpse of Medusa when Perseus killed her. It's nicer here, LOL. Plus Heracles and Pegasus having no overlap in the myths.
I understand he messing thing up but are seriously picking on herc? These people tripping do they not realize he could kill them easily? Underrated film Aladdin lion king mulan Pocahontas are my top but this is up there
