Charlie Wiltermood ye he isn’t bad, but he’s American, it just doesn’t fit. You got English humour which is funny when Englishmen talk. Top gear is English program (there is top gear America if u want) so I’d prefer Mat from carwow over anybody in new Top Gear
Lucky sod - what a gorgeous car. Such a huge Volvo fan and the new XC60 is bloody amazing. Shame it's not a T8 :P But the D5 is deeply impressive. Enjoy!
How weird, electrical folding mirrors is standard on the entry-level here in Sweden. Really surprises me that its not even included on the Inscription model in the UK. lol
hey mat pls do a ford fiesta vs seat ibiza video , i want to buy a car and i don't know what to choose between those two! Thanks for your great videos!!!
What bothers me the most is that we still don't have a review of the XC60 with standard suspension. Volvo is offering to journalist cars with optionnal air suspension for obvious reasons and they all underline how "confortable" is. Please do a review of this car with standard suspension.
Yeah you are right?! But as volvo is only introducing Inscription models in india that too at a fair price.. there are no confusion for the buyers on the options available! And also there are a nice amount actually bigger amount of features packed in the only Inscription trim level! 😉.
You went with the best options, these are what I voted for! Inscription Grey 360 camera, adaptive suspension, and if possible bowers & wilkins then panoramic sunroof :). I would have gone for a 2014 X5 50i full option with under warranty till 2021 for that price though...
I'm jealous!!! Nice car. It's a long-term loan press car from Volvo UK press dept. Volvo UK management and press cars are always high spec, or the highest spec with powerful engines, lots of toys and Mat was just given one off the pool of available cars. And of course Mat did not choose any of the options, they just came with this car! No costs to Mat! He can do as many max launches and as much drifting as he wants. He does not pay for tyres; or damage to the interior (he admitted on camera). At the UK dealer there is a long waiting list for customers. Will Mat ever go back to a car without heated steering wheel, massage seats, Traffic Jam Assist, LED's, HUD, digital instruments, pano roof - Ha! - perhaps not if he had to pay for them...! Nice car!
Just ordered a fully loaded XC60 T6 R-Design in white with 22" rims. It's a true beauty. As far as exterior and interior are concerend, X3, Q5 and GLC do not even come close. Can't wait to get it in 3-4 months.
If you got this one because they had it in stock there then I'm pretty sure you didn't pick any of the options because the car was already made like that lol so results are just luck that it matched
i believe you can set to automatically fold the mirrors once you lock the car, although maybe it's an additional feature in UK, but here in Malaysia its a standard.
Realy mat? You can keep this car until you Are 70. What a boring car in a boring color. The 70+ edition? You can drive to the bingo safe now. There are so many cool cars for a young family and you buy this?
I have the previous XC60 almost fully loaded, great car. It's was £15k cheaper than this inscription, I love Volvo's but they are pricing me out of a new one, shame!
exactly the same here re costs.the light interior looks great but is a nightmare to clean , and the awd version we had ate through cv joints , that are a really expensive repair as only come with the balanced halfshafts, seats were not supportive enough for my mum, she alway felt she was sitting on top of the car rather than in it, I still thought was a lovely car though, but really are getting overpriced.
I like your XC60. My V40 is "power blue" and "blond" inside. On my car, electric folding mirrors was standard equipment, look for them on your user's manual.
I love that and I also like the design of the white interior better than the black interior the white interior just feels posture and more expensive than the black interior and plus the white lights the cabin up quite a lot
money is yours , need is yours, you have to live with it and you ignored those 2 options anyway.. are you high ? asking us what to buy ? i am offended you did not listen viewers choice ... tell me what joke it is .. and probably most of us never ever going to see driving your car ... what is point ? - desperate to get youtube views?
Sheesh.....white interior.....Get ready to for years of cleaning and never forget to buy cleaning products....like NEVER. I would have gone for red or cognac beige brown....
With these cars that can steer themselves, if a police officer were to catch you driving with no hands and claimed you were driving with due care and attention, does anyone know if you overturn that decision if you have this fitted to your car?
Think that stuff on your chrome work might be off trees. You been parked under any lately? Some types have leaves that drip a sticky sap. Nightmare to get off!
The inscription is much nicer than the R design i think Luxury is better than speed as you can't really find anywhere to go fast without getting in trouble and it is nicer in traffic tooo be in luxury.
Charlie Wiltermood i go for luxury, modcons and comfort over sports car speed everytime. Im not a play boy so i dont often get to my car up to 5 gear driving in london traffic
So again you have a full spec press car not many people will get... a D4 with a lower trim level would be more relatable for more people.. but it's good that you choose white seats, so people can see how easy / hard it is the to maintain the color... but well a 235hp full spec car is more fun and you can show more features
This won't be a good test. The £52 grand top, top spec with safety pack and etc?? Who's going to be buying that?? You get the XC90 D5 on powerplus D5 AWD for less!!! This didn't work, get the probable best seller and test that. That's like reviewing the Golf R with all the add ons, as your test of the present Golf! Can't fail to like it!!!
9:00 that's just some fluid (probably water) that didn't dry up before it was exposed to the sun and oxidized, I think something like that :D. just spray some water on it when the car is in shade and wipe it off with an towel of som sort.
52k?!?!?! thats not even the starting price in Norway! Base price is 65k and your car with that equipment is 76k. Id really want to buy an new volvo, owned both the V50 and V70 GREAT CARS! but need an car for winter so driving an qashqai since old xc90 wich i can offord is no good.
Blimey! I recently looked at three possible new cars and had five replies on each one within 24 hours. It just so happened that my local dealership was the second cheapest for the car I chose. The best price came from CarWow but was 360 miles away. Local dealership won the contest.
Superb car. Tried its headroom. 6'4" here. Barely fit. It was a car with a panoramic roof, though... But still.. Why car manufacturers can't copy the VW interior space???
Found it (on carwow.co.uk): "Range-topping Inscription Pro models come with the same high-tech infotainment system, upgraded leather seats and plush wooden trims as Inscription versions but come as standard with adaptive headlights, a heated windscreen, 20-inch alloy wheels, adaptive air suspension and a massage function for the front seats."
hello & greets from Poland!... why xc60 ? why not fordedge (as it has got almost every volvo safety feature) ? why not rx200t/rx450h ?..... now i also look for suv and being focused only on those (ford vs lex) as i want a car which is not so popular on the roads (at least in poland). LucasPL
£52000... the gap between the rich and poor stretches and stretches.. how any years till the end of this?.. not many. That's over spray from some paint protector I should think. - super resin polish or window cleaner will remove it - or meths.
Check the mirror settings on the computer. Surely the folding side view mirrors just isn't selected. I have it on my little V40, seems silly that the new XC60 wouldn't have it...?
+Samuel Brooks - quite! A nice loan car from the Volvo UK. (I think he knows about mirrors/parcel shelf, but had to include a few 'problems' for feedback effect).
You said it "expensive" and UGLY, it should have a Chevrolet or a Jeep badge on it. Says Doctor or Accountant. Compare it with a top of the range all extras added Skodiac, should make a good video.. What does "Alex on Autos " say?
The law prevents motorists from continuing in lane two when there is no reason not to return to lane one, which is the default lane. I don't follow your argument regarding merging traffic, as motorway junctions/slip roads are normally several miles apart.
had my T5 for 3 years - it leaves me a bit cold. Capable, comfy, a little noisy at high speed. Things that REALLY annoy - the remote button and the button in the cabin for the tailgate need to be held in for 2 to 3 seconds before it opens, and the gearbox is plainly incapable of keeping up with 250 horsepower - it gets caught out really badly around corners and junctions, you can wait for 2 seconds before getting a reaction which is baaaad, and Applecarplay is more than a little unreliable. Added to 28mpg even on long journeys, I shall be returning to a normal estate car next time round.
Connor Depetro the SQ7 is like £20,000 more max. Plus it comes with better equipment meaning it could be cheaper if you don't want any options. This XC60 isn't even in the same class so if it's that much more like £20k more it's pretty damn affordable
Clarence Boddicker sq5 0-100 in 5.4, xc60 t8 in 5.2, 5.1 with polestar performance package. They are 420 hp. Max speed is 230, but only because volvo decide to stop it at 230, the car would go at 260/270 without limiters
That oxidised chrome trim was on my 2012 Volvo s60 too.. Haha funny thing is the 2012 s60 has automatic folding mirrors but probably one of the worst transmission ever. I think detailing is still not Volvo's strength.
+pumpupthevolume - as DracoRemixer says this is a Volvo UK press-fleet car that he has been given "on a loan" for a few months, we did not choose it, he did not buy it...
Mat, My 2018 Tiguan has that same 'oxidising' effect on the exact same spot your car has. In my case it turned out to be rail dust. Taking her in to the dealership for detailing in two days, and if it persists they've promised to replace the whole part. Sucks, kills the experience of owning a brand new car.
Good luck with this new car. After 3 year i might be owner of new volvo xc60. at the moment the prize to high and wait until 2 -3 years then the price is acceptable for me .. now im driving 2014 volvo xc 60 :P
