My grandparents grew up during the depression here in Oklahoma and I've heard of their struggles back then and of my parents as well especially when it comes to having food to feed their family every day and they are all gone now but I remember them thank you.🇺🇲🇺🇲
The only difference between then and now is the fact that people nowadays don't even care about each other. You couldn't even go out on the street like they did without being robbed or hurt
Just as a slight correctION in terms; VICTORY GARDENS were popular & necessary during WW 2 due TO rationing. DEPRESSION (not recession) gardens were known at times as “Hoover Gardens”, named after President Hoover, who was in office when the stock market collapsed causing the GREAT DEPRESSION all over the world.
