Yes, I tried both on and looked at them side by side. The 39mm does look like an armoured dress watch in a way. The 42mm seems more in proportion with the other elements. 39 is usually the limit for me, but the way they have designed it works well on my wrist. The movement is a Sellita SW200, but eleboré grade. - As an aside, the Royal Oak also comes in 39 and 42.

I had this in the black dial 39mm variant and it's truly an amazing watch. Highly versatile and with 200M of water resistance it could easily be a one watch collection. For under $2k I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better value proposition out there.

I had the blue in 42mm and funny thing is I thought it weared very large due to the integrated bracelet which is 26mm wide I think where it meets the case. It was too heavy for me for a whole day wear so I sold it. I am tempted to try the 39mm again at some point. 7” wrist

Idk why i feel that this 42mm looks smaller than the 40mm of the prx dk why. I believe in perspective is the one that makes us see things differently. So i think you would like alot the 39

@@AndySTWT yes I tend to wear smaller watches lately (sub 40mm). Maybe that’s why it felt like that. I had a 40mm PRX as well and it’s a lighter watch than the Aikon. More wearable imo. I guess weight makes a big difference for me.

Agree the 39mm version looks and wears way smaller. Maybe because I had the 42mm version before on my wrist :-)

Thank you for the video. I’m turning 30 this February and my family wants to get me a watch. I have a soft spot for Maurice Lacroix but I want to also get something that is the best for the money around 2500. Any suggestions ? Liked and subscribed.

William This means alot to me. Thanks for watching. So what are tour favorite brands or what are you eyeing? For 2500 there’s a lot of incredible watches you can buy. I do like a lot the Maurice Lacroix it’s incredible. My favorite dial is the gray one and the second favorite the salmon dial.

@@AndySTWT No worries. You’re very professional so I have no doubt you will blow up. Uhm, in terms of watches I’m looking for something classy but also stylish. I know Aikon comes with the metal band but some also throw in leather bands as well. I want something that I can wear universally weather it’s at a birthday or a suit tie event. I was eyeing the Aikon but there’s very little info about it from others which is making me timid. Something more well known with similiar style maybe ? Thanks bro this means so much.

@@WTFWILLYUM I would have to recommend the PRX either the chrono or the 3 handed one. An Oris diver 65 very versatile watch! The Tudor BB 36 or 41 depending on your wrist size. I think those 3 are exceptional for every day wear and every ocation besides the Maurice Lacroix. Honorable mention the Baume et mercier the riviera although it is a bit above your budget but i would definitely check it out

If you're still on the fence, for what it's worth the ML Aikon is an amazing watch that ticks most of your boxes. It's very stylish and dressy but the design and colours make it versatile enough to wear on more casual or sporty outfits. And the build quality is what you'd expect from a $5k+ watch, really. So hefty and well finished. The bracelet alone is amazing quality. It's a stunning watch that you won't regret. It's not as mainstream as other brands online but that's no reason to discount it. It's a hidden gem of a watch that's a quiet acheiver.

TUDOR is an ugly and overvalued block. Don't fall for advertising.
