Did you check out the Palisade as well? If so, mind sharing what swayed you onto the Telluride? Only asking because I'm currently debating between both of these.
gcasillas1213 I drove the Pallisade as well. Didn’t care for the interior or exterior styling. I preferred the more boxy rugged look of the Telluride. We went for the SXP trim level on the Telluride and we love it!
"Nearing Volvo levels of style?" C'mon man...Kia passed Volvo at the last stop. Nearing Range Rover makes sense...but for ~$30,000 less..and likely more reliable to boot.
Thanks for your review. Pretty certain we want to get the fully spec’d SX AWD as our next car so your thoughts have been really helpful in deciding what’s best for our family!
The funny thing is the top level seat wasn't comfortable for me but the seats in the S trim level was way more comfortable. I thought it was just me but my friends who tried this SUV said the same thing.
I want to say sorry up front. I am really thinking about purchasing a Telluride, but have lots of questions for some one who owns one and I hope you don't mind me asking you them. How often do you have to fill up. I am really thinking about buying one with a family of 5. My two concerns are having to fill up a lot on long road trips due to the size of the fuel tank. I feel it should be larger. Do you know how may miles you are getting on a tank? We currently have a Chrysler T&C and on road trips we can go about 500 miles before fill up. Also do you know if it has WIFI on board. I am not seeing any info on that anywhere? Last what i your impression of it so far? Any issues or things you would change?
My wife and I own one each as well and this SUV is the one you will have to get for the value, quality, performance and tech pkg for this year!! It blows all popular Japanese imports SUV... I moved from Honda Pilot and my wife moved from Ford Explorer!
Estrading Co, hello! Can you tell me what you think about your Telluride compare to the Explorer you used to drive? I had an Explorer a few years ago myself and it exceeded my expectations! Thanks.
I think you made a great choice for the telluride , I am a Japanese fanatic of cars that’s all I owned I wanted to get the 4 runner for my next car I drive an older version of the rav 4 . But Kia is doing great I don’t care what others think but now a days how cars are so expensive just to get tech , it’s worth the money , I do believe Kia has come a long way . But resale value it still has to work on it just because the name . Still Japanese cars like Honda Toyota has good resale . I’m getting a Kia telluride because I know I want to keep it till it’s wheels will fall off not thinking of reselling it at all!! Yourself and your wife made the best choice . This suv is absolutely amazing . Great job Kia!!!!
Nice review. Your daughter is adorable. Enjoy these years, they go by fast (not just a cliche). As a 59yo dad, your conversation to dad clothes was spot on, right down to the white New Balances. They were calling for me when I hit 55 :) Now I just need to find a Telluride, they are no where to be found. And the ones you do the dealerships are adding 5k onto msrp here in Mass.
Hey dude, long time no see. My new job is very demanding, but I try to keep up with my fav YT channels. Great video overall, nice production value. You are a natural in reviewing/comparing new cars. And yes, Kia, along with Hyundai have evolved a lot. Keep it up. CU around
It's odd. I've never felt like I needed more power. Drop it into sport mode and it does whatever you want. But, what I love is that I'm averaging well over 24 mpg and I commute 41 miles to work one way. I love this thing!
Great review! I'm not an SUV or truck guy at all, but I've really liked the styling og the Telluride since the concept first came out. Seems like a nice package! :)
@@HelloRoad Seems it! Hyundai/Kia have really been on the ball in recent years. I have a 2009 Hyundai Accent hatchback from just around when they were starting to up their quality game....basic as a rock (no A/C, no ABS, no Cruise, no Traction Control, no power anything, etc), but incredibly reliable and perfectly fine for a daily driver - I still love it! :)
I would say the BEST long road trip and suv for tent camping!!! Now if this thing got a hybird or just better gas mileage, no one could beat it! LOVE the green with black rim telluride!
This Telluride is the best looking mainstream SUV on the market...it isn't even close imo. Tho eyeing the Genesis GV80 SUV for my next ride in a couple of years..
I own a Toyota Highlander 2020 platinum for its reliability and the beautiful interior and exterior, I would of gotten the Kia telluride but it will only be good for about 2 years
@@bambino3503 at first that was my top choice but my cousin and aunt got one and and just this July both of them stoped working properly and it was not a coincidence, first my aunts car broke down then 4 days lates my cousins car stoped working properly and I was honestly sad because I really loved the design and interior
When I had babies I used the latch system AND the seatbelt. It’s not recommended, but in case of a system failure or a seatbelt that didn’t buckle, your most precious cargo will be protected.
I just tested it yesterday. Great value I must say, practicality and tech is top notch. It's big but with all the driver aids you get you really don't feel it, easy to drive, easy to park. The issue that I had is what he pointed out about the revs hanging when you accelerate and lift off the throttle quickly, it was quite annoying for me. Steering was too light for me as well, even in sport mode, but I guess some people will like it. If these don't bother you just get one, you can't beat the price of that thing and the style and equipment you get with it.
Did you find the Tellurides fuel tank size would create a problem for long road trips? It seems you would have to fill up around 380 or just under 400 miles each time. Really thinking about buying one. Second question did you see if it had onboard WIFI?
Yep, power is good in the hills, didn't notice any issues in our travels. If you were towing a boat or a travel trailer you'd probably feel it, but with just passengers and cargo it's totally fine.
I am almost 15 but my dad told me that when I turn 16 if I have a good enough cash down he will help me by paying the rest of the price Nd I really want one of this and I feel it’s not a car a teenager would normally want
1:58 The canadian version of the SX trim, comes with the same wheels as the US version of the S trim and it also comes with with a bench seat. Allowing seating for 8. The black wheels and captain chairs on the SX (US) should be optional, no mandatory. #ButThatsJustMyOpinion
It's funny-Kia themselves (at least their US division) calls the Telluride the "largest Kia ever." But you're right, the Sedona has larger exterior dimensions. The Telluride does have it beat in front and 2nd row passenger space. Not sure exactly how Kia came to their conclusion. And yes, in Korea they do offer commercial vehicles which are certainly larger. :)
Despite all of these , it lacks a basic feature that even a ~$20,000 sedan has - "Auto Door Lock". None of the trim has auto door lock, making it uberly uncomfortable to always press the keys once you leave the vehicle.
