My Peke was better than a human and he was such a manipulative little clown. He knew how to play me to get what he wanted. He made me laugh every single day with his antics on how he was going to make me do and give him what he wanted. Loved him. Best dog ever. He was the boss.
Unbelievably affectionate, goofy, and protective! They love tummy rubs, and regular walks in their usual favorite places. They’re stubborn and unforgettable. I miss my little guy so much. He lived to be 16 1/2. ❤
We own a pekingese and she is immortal lol, she got ran over twice by a car, had a few incidents with stairs in which she lost few of her teeth and lost an eye in a fight with a cat. She is now 14 years old and still has zoomies.

I lost my first Peki baby last year due to cancer!!!! that was so heart-breaking! killed me (cos i lost my sister two months down the line too) My late Peki was my life, as my brother stated, i love my Peki's more than I love my family :-) a month after my first Peki passed away, I got another Peki. My current Peki is a Blessing! He is my life, my darling, my everything! I talk to my current Peki about my late Peki, healing process :-) Intelligent, boss of the house and your heart, he is gentle as a baby! Darshan (that's my current Peki name) is 1 year old! i have a pekingese and his name is pico. its true he sleeps 98% of the day. they live long mine is 15 and in dog years he's 105 yrs old. But he still runs around like a baby. He's always going to be our baby

Keep their fur short and socialized and they make excellent pets. One thing, they have a FEROCIOUS bark. When angry they sound like a German Shepherd in attack mode, no squeaky small dog bark. Behind a solid door any robber would think it was a huge dog. Only real downside to a peke is that they have their own agenda-and it is not yours

I had pekingese named Meggie. I loved her with all my heart, she was a rescued dog. You will really not like what i will say here so i will put it in comment. You have been warned. So please, please, if you love your pekingese, do not breed them. Those dogs suffer and their cute snorting is breathing difficulty.
