Wow! Too many of my single friends are lonely enough. Now we're going to tell them, "Being single is the unforgivable sin. No afterlife for you! Because having a soul mate defines your existence! " What?!!! They're just going to forget you like when you were living? Have some compassion and value a person's life.
Seriously. This is the worst message. So many people even kill themselves over being lonely, having no one, or break ups. Then you have a movie where you shame the dead for being single? This is disgusting.
On the one hand, it's an interesting idea for a film, on the other why don't we just release it on Valentines day so single people can be ever MORE depressed. A lot of them already feel like they've faded away and the world has gone on with out them, now it's confirmed. Very cheery.
i know, she has to die?!? but if they love each other, they can move on to heaven ?!? idk what to say im soo confused 😭😭😭 what is the right choice?!? AHHHHH
I love Christina Ricci so much! She's always been one of my favorites. I met her at FanX in 2019, and ever since then, I've loved her evem more! Definetly meed to check this movie out.
This plot makes me feel incredibly sad. It seems so sad to die. When you're young, you don't think much about it. I'm turning 60 & I think about it alot. The idea that I need a soulmate now makes me sad:(
I think the book's called "Death With Interruptions" ... Not sure if it would make you feel any better. I read a lot of fiction and non fiction books on death ... Do you believe in anything? I'm almost 40 and I wonder if maybe my life would have been easier to bear if I'd believed in anything. I can't even stick to a philosophy to help me deal with anything.
I really hope there's a big twist to this, and people aren't really required to find a soulmate within the story's universe. What a narrow idea of happiness.
Finding a soulmate (whatever it means to each person) is a good thing that does bring with it happiness in a way. I don't care what anyone says, we're not meant to be alone. That said, I think a lot of "modern" films already put happy romantic endings on a back burner in attempt to focus on other kinds of happiness; so I think we can let this one story pass this one time.
@@brucewilliam8973 It's okay to be single. Having a choice is part of the beauty of being with another person. But it doesn't mean we are meant to be alone. Just like it's perfectly okay to not want kids but if we all chose not to have kids, humans would simply go extinct.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when j saw it on Amazon prime. It seemed like a cool premise - so I took the plunge and watched it. I was surprised I liked it - it was a different take on the afterlife. Honey Bee and Michael - really liked their chemistry.
I love the people arguing in the comments about the logic of the "people die in pairs/as soulmates" premise that fuels this plot. Y'all, it's just a fluffy, high concept romantic comedy. It's fiiiiine.
Your dog hates you, all animals hate humans and well they should because it we're not eating them generally we're mistreating them. If you think your dog likes you it's because you feed it.
I like her as a brunette far better. And I'm blonde... so I'm not knocking it, but I just don't think the very pale blonde looks good on her, in particular! She is prettier as a brunette to me, personally.
I mean, I love her, but she also did that ren-faire romance with the Canadian guy who just bought land in Idaho to make a neo-nazi compound, so this was already in doubt.
Long time Christiana Ricchi fan, so gotta see this, Always though she was gorgeous, she's just got the look, but if I was fortunate enough to actually know her and she said, ' so I'm thinking of going platinum blonde ' I wouldn't have though it would work for her, it's so opposite to her look up to now, but oh yeah, it works.
Man, people in the comments are way over thinking this. Looks cute and enjoyable. Has a couple bankable actors. Bunch of people with champagne tastes and beer budgets. Jfc.
Yet again another movie to make those who are single feel alone. As if we didn't have high rates of suicide out there... Will not be watching this and I'm not alone, the whole plot is just moronic.
Are you serious? Just watch something else-.- also, it’s a MOVIE. I’ve watched tons of romantic comedies and dramas when i was single too, and since i was young. They literally do something for everyone. Action, horror, animated, etc. I think you’re just focusing on this. If you really want to be with someone you can try tinder and tons of other things like this. But i suggest you just stop focusing on it. Love tend to find us when we’re happy by/with ourselves, but like truly happy. I’ve had some of the best times of my life single. It’s all about perspective and what you decide to do with your situation. Try to take this time to focus on yourself. Being single is a great opportunity to learn how you can be the best version!
I just watched Casper with Christina Ricci, that Casper..haven't seen it in years, then I RU-vid search "Christina Ricci 2021." And find this!!? Lol See the connection?
Bizarre plot. Why not. Everything else has been done. Rocco being typecast in yet another macabre ghost 👻 spooky orientated film. Love the platinum bob hairdo.
There have been a few movies somewhat similar. Like Chances Are and Heaven Can Wait and City of Angels. They touch on the topic of there being a reason why a soul can't get to heaven after death and in the process meet their soul mate.
So what happens when a elderly couple dies 5-10 years apart? They clearly were soul mates and they live to see each other get old and were very happy. The person is just stuck in limbo? Then what happens if that person ceases to exist? The premise isn't just "dying single means you don't go to heaven" it's "Souls Cross over in Pairs" Meaning you are stuck until your Loved one dies so if you Cease to exist while waiting for them to die regardless of how happy you two were. You are screwed. And if they never move on to someone else then they will be screwed too because you ceased to exist waiting for them. Someone in this universe probably watched their loved one move on to someone else waiting for them to die so they can go together then popped out of existence right after it happened so he never even had a chance to get someone.
