I bought a razor comb to make pixie last longer bc mine needed a trim every 3 weeks since my hair grows so fast. But the daily styling was so much faster than any other style.
I appreciate this video, very helpful! Older lady here, lol. I love my razor comb thingy and use it regularly on the back of my neck. I wore a shag in high school (1973) but never liked that mullet thing on my neck, bugged me to death. After high school one day, I just took a scissors and went straight across the back to even it up with the sides, and it looked SO much healthier with my face shape and actually thicker. I was still doing perms back then and always liked the curly bob type style anyway. Now I want it shorter and still love some curl, so I do some old school rollers at night on top. I do own some hot rollers but hate blow drying and never mastered a curling iron.
So informative! Helps to make my decision and you mentioned some points I hadn’t thought of. Also, very practical tips and you are very genuine. Thank you for this video.
I’ve gotten 2 pixies, each January in 2022 and 2023. I kept growing it out thinking I’d have fun with different hairstyles, but never actually did it. This year I’ve decided to go for those styles I’ve always wanted to try! No time like the present. I just have to make myself go to the salon lol. Great video! I basically won’t maintain any 1 style but changing every 6 months or so is fun.
Video I would like to see. 1 Celebrities hair cut names. - Sofia Vergara - Kim - Miley Cyrus - JLo - etc 2. Pro vs cons of most popular cuts Thank you ❤
This was very helpful thank you so much for posting! I have coarse thick wavy hair and I got a wavy French Bob about 4 months ago. I had no idea they required so much maintenance. On the other hand I 110% agree about the shag I had one before and it was AWESOME it grew out SO WELL!
During lockdown in 2020, suppose a woman with a short, Emma Watson pixie cut suddenly had to grow it out without trimming the back (both due to salons closing and the woman not wanting to risk ruining her hair by trimming it herself). After the dreaded mullet phase, what would her hair look like after growing out her pixie nonstop for 2+ years without having had a single trim (assuming the woman has medium to high density, a fine, straight texture with a slight body wave, an average growth rate of 5-6 inches per year, and healthy virgin hair that doesn’t split or break easily)? I’m just curious because everyone I know who grew out a pixie did it while getting regular trims.
@@kandacehead9544 nobody asked me xD but as someone who clipped their own hair with a #2 guard once and let their hair grow for 2 years, my hair grew out in a shag-like shape (but no bangs of course)
