U do realize that the majority of the views on these videos are ppl searching knowledge, and what a better teacher tonyD himself... the godfather of all the sweet life changing C.A.T thanks tonyD and it’s been Eight months we getting itchy
Even though you envisioned this device, designed the circuits, manufactured and proved that it works perfectly... Someone will comment that you are wrong. Sad isn't it? Great job, I love my DD-1 HV
I would like to see realtime on setting gains from headunit with a dsp inline to the amps. Like once you found the volume of the head unit , what tones to use when setting the dsp input gains and finally settin gain overlap for the amps
I have a question as to how I would properly set my gains on my taramps dsp 3000? since this is considered a full range amp but will also work as a mono, I'm getting confused with how I would set the high and low pass filters on the amp itself.
Thanks for uploading content again, I'm waiting for my DD1 to arrive tomorrow here in Mexico, just one question, how much power it handles? I'm going to adjust a Taramps 8k
@New Alert yup, if I can recall correctly it didn't work with none of the taramps HD line, luckily they have a clip indicator, so we used that instead of the dd1 and everything went OK. I think it's because those are full bridge designs and the output terminals work differently.
what should the subwoofer level be set at when setting the gains? Is it technically a EQ? because when I leave it at zero I notice the gains ends up being really high
What about getting the signal and distortion lighting at the same time. Even when theres no distortion. Also and more imortant... You recommend setting gains with no EQing. But when I set gains with no EQing and all is fine. Ill EQ it to my taste and the distrotion light starts to glow. How come?
Alpha Omega if the distortion led illuminates there is distortion. If your are turning things up on the EQ then yes of course you would cause distortion if you do it after you set your gains. You can try EQ the things you don’t want down instead of the things you do want up. Or if you know where your EQ is going to be set to most of the time go ahead and go thru the dd-1 process with the EQ set as you want it.
