This is half truth half opinion. Yes wait for the person God says yes to and brings to you. While waiting be in community and have a tribe of faith friends to grow with. God said it i not good for man to be alone and he meant it. Don't assume a person being a Christian means they are for you and them not being a Christian means they are not. Don't assume you know God's will at all. Just wait for his yes he may use your relationship with a non believer to draw them into him and have an assignment for that marriage to advance the kingdom. I have seen it. Just stay in fellowship, humility, and obedience. Assume nothing

No God’s not saying “since you went against my word honor it etc etc”…the scripture was taken out of context. In the scripture he quoted Paul is speaking to ppl who were ALREADY married prior to coming into the knowledge of Christ. So if you were already married before you got saved do not divorce because you’re new found devotion to God may save or inspire your spouse. New believers in the church of Corinth were leaving their unsaved spouses after being evangelized and saved so Paul was advising them not to do that but to stay together. However, if you are a BELIEVER you should be marrying a fellow Christ minded believer who is already fully submitted to God period no exceptions. I believe that Tim is highly educated in the word and knows the context of the scripture and assumes his listeners do as well but they do not.

This is exactly where I'm at in my relationship right now. It's a turn off, I don't have an expectation for my spouse to do as I do but put forth some sort of effort🤷🏾‍♂️

That's what I was like aye where's the effort however if her heart isnt there yet and it wasn't I was impatient because it was so important for her to get where I was "spiritually" or try harder. I feel bad now knowing what I did.

We should seek God first to provide and lead us to the right person. Even two Christian’s can be unequally yoked. God said separate, come out from among them. God don’t join all couples together and if he doesn’t then how will an ox and donkey mix or light with darkness or become one? You can’t. God calls his people to be holy. A true marriage is not a license with the state. It’s when God has called two people together and he brought the woman to the man and this is why a man unites to her. A God ordained marriage is orchestrated by God. Just like he appointed a wife for Isaac. And God blessed them. But some marriages like Ahab & Jezabel are under a curse. Some people marry outside of the will of God and did not seek him in the decision making process. Some marriages are demonically arranged and will lead people away from God and to hell. Marriage is not a license. It’s who God has joined together. God first joins the couple together and then they unite (marry) and become one flesh. Eve was the wife of Adam before God brought her to him. Rebekah was the wife of Isaac before God brought her to him. She was chosen by God. There is such thing as the one. That person is connected to your blessings, purpose or destiny. There are also many counterfeits. Many people marry with a license but that is not your husband or wife. Only God can make one. Not with this ritual - with this ring I dewed. Actually the ring represents a snake/ paganism and the marriage license was created by man to seek control and to keep the white race pure and black people wasn’t even considered as human beings but was used for slaves and being murdered. The license was created from racism. Look up the history. It was not God inspired. It puts asunder who God has joined (called) together. 😔

I think it’s different when you’re dating. I still wouldn’t date an unbeliever. I’d say still choose wisely. I agree we can be so picky as believers and that keeps us single wayyyy longer!

Biblically speaking the only thing that ends a marriage is sexually immorality. Now if your spouse is beating on you of course use the wisdom God gave you. However if you divorce, scripture does not condone remarriage. That’s what ppl don’t want to accept

I strongly urge you to wait until he grows into that role rather than go ahead and marry, and then HOPE someday he will. You will come to resent not being spiritually led, and the problem just gets worse if he doesn't lead your children. If he always sees you as the more spiritual or knowledgeable one, he may stay content to let you lead. And that's miserable.

Paul taught that if the unbelieving spouse wants to leave, let them for sake of peace. But if they want to stay, let them so the Christian can be a loving witness to them. Aside from an abusive situation, a Christian should not leave the unbelieving spouse.

Divorce them they deserve better

Brother, I highly recommend that you get into good biblical counseling WITH HER, both with a Christian counselor and your pastor/elders. Within 3-6 months, you will almost certainly have your answer.

I agree with the other comment, seek counseling from your church together. Don't hold that depression in, it can be brutal😢🙏 Make sure you have asked God to forgive you for fornication and not putting him first, know that when you ask, God is faithful and just to forgive you!❤ The devil will try to beat you over the head with condemnation, don't let him. But being equally yoked has nothing to do with finances or something material, which is how that excerpt of scripture tends to get used. People use the Bible way too often to reinforce their materialistic ideas about relationships, and it's annoying.

I made the mistake of judging my partner and comparing my walk with his walk. So silly.

Has the person ever asked the unbelieving spouse if they want to get married and make the relationship a right one? The Bible says if your unbelieving spouse wants to stay, let them. If they want to leave let them. But the believer has to make it clear to the spouse that God is first for them and they are going to obey God, go to church Etc and take the kids as well. If that person does not want to get married, the believer should not stay in that arrangement because that would be ongoing fornication. Move out as soon as possible (I know it can be financially difficult but God Can Make A Way if he sees you are trying to live right) and stop having sex until marriage.

Hey, his views are based on Biblical Scripture, so I suggest starting there. Read it, don't just rely on RU-vidrs to teach & post videos. True Freedom Trust wrote "The Bible defines marriage in Genesis 2:24 as a union between one man and one woman. Jesus Christ upholds this definition of marriage in Matthew 19:5, as does the Apostle Paul in Ephesians 5:31." Look up these Bible passages. As you read them, ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom, guidance and revelation as you do so you can understand. THEN turn to commentary and teaching like your Pastor, RU-vidrs, other Christian books, etc. for further teaching. I say this as it's VITAL that every Believer has a relationship with God's Word, it speaks truth & it'll transform you. Plus, if you hear a teaching you're unsure about, you'll know that you can test it by going to the Word of God. The things you don't know about Christianity, but should - you'll learn it in the Bible. So I hope God gives you answers there. I hope this helps. God bless

The Bible teaches that homosexuality is a sin. Marriage is only to be between one man and one woman because they have children and form the foundation of family, culture and civilization. Two Men and two women do not belong together sexually AT ALL. If you want to follow Jesus, leave that arrangement or your soul will be lost. Homosexuality is influenced by demonic forces and false teachings of identity. Our identities should be in Christ, God is the one who defines who we are. Not some false fabrication of ourselves. If your sexual preferences do not line up with righteousness and Holiness from Jesus, you need to renounce that. We must be willing to submit to God, listen to his voice and obey his word concerning Who We Are. If you want to stick to what you are doing, you cannot say that you love Jesus. You cannot do both. It's not worth going to hell over, please turn to Jesus 100%. He will help you with all the feelings and desires if you open up to him.

Esther was basically kidnapped and made part of a pagan King's harem, she did not have a choice in the matter but God used a bad situation for good. If Esther had a choice, she would have married another God-fearing Jew. The Bible also does not state that Joseph's Egyptian wife was an unbeliever. There were some Egyptians that believed in God, especially after seeing the Miracles he has done. Otherwise the point is most because it is not clear where she stood. It doesn't change what 2 Corinthians 6:14 says. If you do not think God knows what's best for you, then sure, go do what you like. But if things don't turn out well, don't blame him for it.

The Bible calls us to be sober minded. If someone enjoys smoking, I’d want to know why and see what’s underlying it.

The spirit of God gives me all the mellow and peace that I need, my question would be why would we need to rely on a substance to get what we get from God for free without manipulating our senses. Like the other commenter said, the real question is why would you want smoke weed in the first place?
