Here's 10 Things Wrong With My 2022 Gladiator Rubicon 

yea go to uconnect and settings and doors or locking settings and you can change the behavior. Mine came set to unlock all doors and I have changed it to unlock just the one door for safety reasons.. but its so goddamn inconvenient because there is not double touch option that i'm going to change it back. annoyingly you can touch the passenger door no matter the setting to unlock all doors

Took me 10,000 miles, but I finally found out. :)

I'm a Rubi here and my two biggest complaints is the hoot post, this isn't 1945 gas hood struts or even spring ones should be standard. I get that the top comes off, but they need to have a small unpluggable motor to allow for the rear slider to be opened with a switch.

Probably the placement of the intake vent. I believe on mine it’s right on the cowl under the windshield so it gets lots of wind

Ya so basically useless and just created more issues with the auxiliary battery and more wear and tear on the starter and main battery.

Nothing because I’ve already gone through the menu setting before making this video lol

Okay thx for the reply. I’m looking at a 2023 Rubicon but wondering if Jeep will fix some of these annoyances on the 2024. Who knows……..

Ya I hear that, I’m waiting to see if the new 2024 model will have the same refresh as the wranglers got. Personally I prefer the round vents and smaller screen for aesthetic purposes but I get that they are trying to be more competitive with the new bronco and 4Runner models.

@@SmokinMonkeyOG Agree. A larger screen seems out of place in a rugged off-road vehicle. I do hope they improve the front seats!

I actually had to take the gladiator in to the dealer and they gave me a JL wrangler Sahara to drive for the day. The leather seats in that vehicle were so much harder and more uncomfortable than my cloth ones for whatever reason. Maybe the leather has less give and that’s why it seems that way but it was a noticeable difference. I actually really like the cloth seats and how they fit compared to the leather ones at least lol

I’ve tried. You can program it to open all doors but then it’s always all doors. I like having the option to open one or all but I have to decide which one and only that function works once you program it

No you can’t. You can change the fob to unlock all doors at once then your handle does the same thing. I get that. I want the fob to be able to unlock the driver door and then all the doors on second click as well as the handle. I don’t want the handle or the fob to unlock all doors on first press

Ya but like I mentioned I don’t want it unlock every door on fist touch just like the fob it should have two stages. Drives door then all doors. If you go directly to the passenger side and not driver then it always unlocks all doors. I just think you should have that feature just like the fob not have to pick one or the other

You can run any of the wrangler bikini tops and the sun rider also fits on the gladiator just like the wrangler. What top would you want specifically?

@@gldsmith61 sorry dude, what? you said he had fixes in the manual and he said he read it and you accept that answer? Explain your comment if he is glossing over what you are suggesting. I also have a gladiator, and I have also had a fix for some of these things. I also learned somethings from this video and the comments. I read my manual the minute I got home. I still have annoyances, like the beeping when you have the key in your pocket and you exit the vehicle while its on. Annoyingly, also, when you have the driver door on and plugged in and you are in drive or reverse.... the car stops moving... i'm sure for safety....but you can unplug the door.. and remove the door... and drive in forward or reverse with NO DOOR and the vehicle has no issue... nevermind that you can have any and all doors open and in forward or reverse..... and the vehicle is fine. ..... but the driver door... THAT IS A NO GO! This is a wonderful vehicle and incredible to drive/be driven in... but fuck there are some idiot things about it.

Page 27 of manual under NOTE it says it can be done in the Uconnect settings page 228.

Found it. Unconnect. Settings. Doors and locks. Set fob to all doors or drivers door. Door does whatever you set the fob to so all doors for the fob will open all doors with the sensor.

Ah makes sense. I was looking for a separate setting but I guess it’s the like you say it’s the same setting as the fob

I know about all of that. I’m willing to put up with whatever comes up because I like the vehicle and I want to have one and use one. If it turns to shit in 5 years fine, if it last me 10-15 years great but I’ll be happy that I had one regardless of the outcome. Life is short enjoy the things you like even if they’re not perfect

You can on the gladiator with the fob but not the door handle

They also removed the tire airdown alert system. You can check your pressure and see when it’s at the right pressure but can’t set what you want to air down to and have it warn you when you get there

We all have our own opinions and preferences. If the things I listed are not an issue for you then awesome but I’m just giving my opinion to people looking to get a Jeep and what I’ve noticed after owning one.

@@SmokinMonkeyOG I’m with you 1000 % but is simple things. I have the sport edition and wish I had yours with all those issues. Because mine all it has is the basic stuff lol

Bull, I've got a 22 leather and it's very comfortable, and im thin.

Just going off what people who own them tell me. As well as the people on the lite brite channel talk about how uncomfortable they are and they’ve owned 2 JLs and a JT. I still just prefer cloth personally nothing against leather.

Not sure how electronics make it less of a Jeep? I have a TJ I wheel every weekend and I think the new JL and JT are awesome improvements. They still have all the things that make it a true Jeep in my eyes from solid axles, a true manual shift transfer case, lockers and all the suspension and important components underneath have been beefed up. The stock steering on my gladiator is twice the size of my Currie heavy duty steering upgrade kit. I think they’re definitely going in the right direction.

Not sure what you mean because my Gladiator is a Rubicon. If you mean wrangler and Gladiator, because they both come in Rubicon trim, it’s mainly the bed and the length interior is the same mostly same engine, same transfer case same axles.
