Love these types of vids! I love your main content but I'm a big fan of this sort of personal/lifestyle content so your second channel is totally my vibe.
I love how intentional everything about the setup is!!! And likeeeee, that (+ the HDMI thingy);is exactly my logic when arranging furniture :-)))) also its sooo cute to see you so exited about how it turned out :-)))))))))
I AM SOOO HAPPY YOU DID A DESK TOUR, I’ve actually been wanted to see you’re cute set up, btw I’ve been watching your liss the lass old streams bec i miss liss streams🥲, i just hope you are thriving and slaying and girlbossing🩷 LOVE YOU!! also we don’t really get crazy earthquakes, they are always v small! so i think you are able to hang things!
maybe u have already thought of it but u could get a tension rod and hang a cute curtain or beads over the doorless closet ! they’re super easy to put up/take down
I don’t know how possible this would be or if this is even a good idea… but I couldn’t help but wonder if the desk would fit into the spot where you want a book nook? Book nook for sure sounds cozy but if you had the desk kind of tucked away in the closet, it could be slightly more seperate from the rest of the room and you could put book shelves somewhere else. Love how it all looks though, to be honest! Just wanted to share my day dream idea 😁
yesss!! maybe the lighting would be an issue, but i think it could look super cute. however building a book nook sounds also greatttt..., idk, i would be fantasizing about making that space my 🌸 girl cave🌸 ...
That is a very aesthetic and pleasing desk I will tell you this now so hopefully you don't run into the same problem that I did the longer your HDMI cable is the more you lose signal on it the link you have their seems perfectly fine I tried to run around 100 ft HDMI cable let's just say the other end had zero signal at all I love your setup though simple clean and efficient
I love it! In that little closet, it would be cute af to kinda "redo" your old gallery wall in there. It would be a nice place to display all your art'
i didn't think to ask cause i had a feeling you would do one anyway and i was patiently waiting, and now the day is here! 😊 i love this type of content from you, and in general i just love seeing how people do their desk set-ups : )
I have a Secret Lab chair that's been awesome, but probably not the kind of thing you want in a living space. Regardless of what you buy, a big help for noise would be getting rubber casters. I did that for my chair, and on a hard floor, reduces about 95% of the noise. Also you glide around much easier and just doubles the quality of the chair for just 20-30 dollars.
Cool video and moody setup. I actually found your main channel because yt recommended me the first video of this channel and I really enjoy all of your videos
Love the tour, what a gorgeous desk and setup!! Fantastic mcm vibes 👌🏻 if you’re looking for a different white blackout curtain solution you could try white blackout roller shades and then have whatever cutesy curtains you want in front of them, then you can just open them up (with the roller shades down) while filming so you have the white backdrop for lighting? I hope that makes sense 😂 love all of your content!!
For a chair, consider Steelcase. You can go up to the high end with their Gesture ($1400!) but I got the basic Series 1 ($500) and I think it's fine. No creaking. Of course, you should try these in person if possible at a local office or furniture store. (I didn't, it worked out.)
I live in Tempe (southern suburbs of Phoenix for you non Arizona people) and we felt an earthquake once in 2016. felt a bang and I thought my roommate had slammed the door really hard and I came out and he was in the middle of an Overwatch match. He thought it was me. We googled it and there was the worlds tiniest earthquake outside of the Phoenix metro area and all everyone felt was just 1 slight thud. Other than that its just dust storms. We get the occasional flooding when it decides to rain really hard and our infrastructure isn't prepared for large amounts of rain. I remember all the freeways flooding years ago. My gf's mom tells a story from the late 70s or early 80s where it flooded so bad it cut the city in two and you had to drive hours to get to one of the bridges that didn't collapse. I was able to find a news report on youtube someone had recorded from back then. It was such a huge event that people still remember it to this day.
For your open closet I've seen some people that do like tapestry or curtains to cover the doorway if you want to add some patterns to the room. I think it looks good open though!
I use these for speakers! "Creative Pebble 2.0 USB-Powered Desktop Speakers with Far-Field Drivers and Passive Radiators for Pcs and Laptops (Black)" They are cheap I know; but they seem cute for your desk, and they work great.
Umm I have watched your videos for a while now and your hair is always perfect girl! I think it would be really awesome if you did a hair tutorial! If you’re down also ❤ love your vids!
I loooove desk tour vids! Aeron and Mirra chairs are great! I would never pay full price for them though, I got secondhand for $250-300 range and do think it was worth it (and I'm usually cheap with stuff) 😤
Dunno if anyone else suggested it, but honestly, the IKEA Markus is a solid chair!! Here in Sweden it's about 300$ but I think it might be cheaper in the US(?)
Holy shit I'm jealous of that ultrawide. I'm work from home and have to use my monitors for work and gaming and ultrawides don't work with my work laptop (ok they work but I cant have 2 other monitors plugged in and I need them all for my work). Soon as I move to a bigger place I'm planning on having a work setup and getting one of those 49"ers for a seperate gaming setup.
I got Logitech Z-130 speakers ages ago and they've been pretty solid, if you like analog. tho I'm sure something better has come out since then. do need a extra socket since it doesn't get power through the pc.
A recommendation about speakers, the Logitech Z333 are always good if you want to go a liiiiittle bit higher than that and use the focusrite which will give you better audio, Presonus Eris E4.5 are the best price/value monitors (the position and size of the room and all that matters, yes, but you can use them anywhere, if you like) love your videos♡
If you really hate money and storage space you could look into getting something like a older version/second hand AV-receiver so you have multiple HDMI inputs (like up to 7) and outputs you can control with a remote.
Earthquakes r literally fine. And if it’s over a 5 then we just have to kiss everything u own goodbye. Usually we get 4’s so ur good nothing will get hurt let alone yourself. And nowadays don’t live near the ocean. Good luck
That desk looks cool, one thing I would do is removing the cover door for the CPU that way you could spread your legs when using the computer without risking any damage to the door. I know your not looking for expensive chairs but I would recommend any noble chair, your could snag one up at 400 or 500... but that's just an opinion. Trust me you won't regret it.
Nice setup, I like everything but the desk itself haha. No hate just having not a lot of legroom and to open that door to play on the pc is a nono for me personally
get an HDMI switcher so that the console you open automatically sends the video signal, and an HDMI splitter at the end of the signal, so that it can go to your TV and capture card simultaneously.
and since you already have the scarlett audio interface, you could look at professional studio monitors for audio! Focal are a great brand, Adam or KRK if you want more bass.
being a RU-vidr is a lot of work jeez but I like your setup there . your monitor is huge !! do I look left or right or center waaaa cool vid the creaking of your chair is because of sit-sickness (he/she is sick of it) lol
It’s tough but I waited until I was comfortable with my savings to do it, definitely not cheap but I also have a pretty affordable spot for the area I’m in. Also I don’t have a property management nickel and diming me, my landlord is decent and fair. Best of luck! :)
Hi, just saw your video game collection and liked it a lot. if you can find them, I would recommend the game series silent hill and fates frame (project zero European)
