I'm an introvert and have worked in BPO industry for 5 years, and tbh the cliché statement "fake it til you make it" worked for me. I feel like every time I was on the phone and talking to customers, I'm embodying a persona. A persona that is confident, energetic, empathetic, patient and all the good characteristics to sweat over! And tbh I feel like that has helped me to cope easily whenever I encountered irate customers that insulted, judged and tried to belittle me. 'Cause I have my wall up. Idk if that's just me tho
omg same! sabi nila perky daw yung voice ko sa phone. sa personal, it's the exact opposite. At sa 4 years ko na pagko call center, isang beses lang ako nagalit sa isang customer, I don't even remember for what reason
I think it's harder to talk to the team than the customers. Idk, at least the customers are requiring something and that's it. But with the co-workers, ugh! :(
I feel you. I'm okay with talking to the customers because you won't talk to them anymore after a call. But for your teammates? You're with them everyday so syempre makikisama ka 😒
Same, I can feel you. Customer especially irate is fine because you're gonna to talk to them for minute and after that it's over while your co-workers ugh I couldn't disagree with you.
I worked at a call center for 5 years as an introvert. Focus on solving the customer's issue instead of their demeanor and attitude. Learn all you can and use the experience as a stepping stone for a promotional opportunity.
I´m a shy and introvert person, who suffers from depression and anxiety, I have one month in the call center industry. I´m from the Caribbean and I got sick because of the stress, I´m working on an exit plan as soon as I finish paying my debts. Also, saving as much money as possible because I want to work as an artist. But seeing the bright side my English has gone better and I´m not scared of phone calls anymore. I also got empathy for people and patience, so is both good and a bad experience. Thank you so much for this video, it was a good help to me, made me keep thinking of my options and the meditation part, I need to do it more often, thank you for reminding me.
I was in the BPO industry for more than 10yrs, from a greenhorn newbie then after 2yrs promoted to a QA, worked in an in-house company, outsource, again promoted to a supervisor, handling clients directly and learning a huge amount of skills in this industry. I'm a mix of both introvert and extrovert, I am comfortable being alone with my thoughts but I also learn to socialize most esp when I became part of management , meeting with your superiors and clients. Now, I'm working as an admin VA reporting directly to clients and WFH, I'm not taking calls apart from zoom meeting with my clients, and my task are mostly admin. Pay is much better and no stress. Sheena's right, you need an exit plan from the BPO, learn new skills and get promoted, once you change career whatever you learn from the call center it will be a huge help to your next career path.
It’s hard to overthink while stopping yourself to be not. I’m exactly where you were before. This is the reason why I am here checking Miss Sheena’s video. Because I cannot quit my job yet. 🥹
I absolutely am an introvert idk i feel like more comfortable and happy when im all alone. I was supeeer shy when i entered bpo industry. i remember my interviewer said to open my mouth more so i can speak well. haha (yup ganun ako kalala lol) luckily i was hired. im a quiet person but i love talking to customers over the phone. now its been 3 yrs, still surviving haha. I do all the tips u've said it really helps. u gained a new sub. Thank you and I appreciate u ❤️
I'm an introvert and will start my training this Monday. I'm actually nervous and excited about it. Thanks to this I now know introverts can survive and hopefully I can too .
Kwestyon just casually saving my ass here in this call center job 😭😭 huge thank you Sheina! I'm starting my training on June 18th and I've been watching your vids since
I'm an introvert and this video helps a lot. I'm about to try to work in a call center and already have a backup plan in case I would hate my job eventually. Thanks for this video. 💕
I've been working in a call center for a year now and it's been really hard. I'm an introvert and have social anxiety that flares my fibromyalgia and even when people aren't screaming at you, the stress of knowing another call is gonna come through at any second has made me so sick. But unfortunately I can't find anything else that's work from home AND is entry level without a BA. I keep applying for "data entry" positions but never hear back. I just feel trapped and the end of my rope man. Like any lil thing is just gonna make me snap
Wow thank you so much! Introvert here! 🙌 I can see in your face that you are an introvert also hehe I am an introvert person, My temperament is melancholic - Choleric. but since I was a leader in a church before I kinda learned how to socialize with different kind of personalities but the reality is, you cannot change who you are, you might learn how to socialize but definitely you cannot take away being introvert within you. I enjoy this vid! 😻
it's hard, i love the job itself and talking to customers but I am having a hard time with my colleagues when they are talking about non work related issues and like expecting me to open up to them. And I hate the team building sessions because they are so nosy and make me uncomfortable. I don't like being forced to answer personal questions.
Yeah Miss Sheena, thats so true. An introvert thinks first before speaking out what he/she wanted to say . I am also an overthinker I hope I can overcome my anxiety. ^^
im an introvert and used to being alone with pets and nature: those who doesnt talk. lol but for the love of my rescues i need to get real job. And my account involves taking calls, what an coincidence. 😂 thanks for all the tips i've learned a lot
Im Introverted and HSP- Highly Sensitive Person and it took me one year.. yep. One year to adjust might be exaggerating to some of you but I can't helped it . That's what I am. But now I can say that I have improved and wes still improving and learning 😊
Thank you so much Mam for being my guiding light in venturing into this industry. I am an introvert newbie and I will start two days from now. Wish me luck and God bless u more
I agree with you on the points that you raised about introverts. I'm an introvert too and I could talk at work okay, perhaps because everything is plainly on a professional level. What I can't stand is having small talks with colleagues - I just don't have the interest at all in sharing information on a personal level. So it goes to say that I don't go out of my way befriending new people - that's the extrovert's job to find me and make friends with me, then and only then I would begin to slowly open up (with reservation). LOL.
Saludos
Hi, I'm working as a call center agent, just turned 19 years old this year and an introvert as well! So, I'm actually working for almost 1 year in this industry. I don't have really problems the first 3 months but after that, I feel very exhausted every day albeit I'm on a work from home setup. I'm really planning to resign, but I just don't have the guts to do it. The only reason why I work as csr it's because I want to get out from my comfort zone, that I want to improve my communication skills but as days goes by, it gets difficult for me to concentrate and all I need is a break.
For real tho! I'd suggest, you save and mag check ka ng other freelance skills. Maganda mag explore ngayon para sa mga introvert na tulad natin since marami na din company and remote setup. Goodluck!
Thank you for sharing these advices. They are really helpful and a true story also 😅. It's difficult for an introvert to manage stress at the call center and it's a key to do it. Thank you for your vídeos.
This is what I really need to hear. I am now on training but just last night I was asked to do the practice call and unfortunately I twisted my tongue and got very nervous that I couldn't barely finish it.
Hi coach! Can you create a content on how to learn English fast and on how to properly construct words? I can clearly understand every english words you say but is hard for me to construct.
How I wish I could have the same environment which you actually engage yourself from within and take some time to acquire all the elements of energy and get better both internally and externally. A great surroundings is a big help to a better thoughts, emotions, perceptions and crafting your personality as a whole.
I've started working in call center just two days ago. It's really hard for me but as days goes by, I know I'll be able to adapt to the fast paced environment.
I'm an introvert too.. I don't like talking too much that are not specifically important because at the end we will be the one to take the responsibility of time that we spent and the words that we have said. It's better not to speak too much, the more you speak the more you'll make mistakes.
Thanks today I had English classes and we watched some topics related to the personality and I figure it out that I am introvert person, I got a scholarship so I am taking advantage of time , i want to work in a call center when I finish , wish me luck I will be seeing your channel great stuff
Thanks for the Tip and right now I have just started working in the customer service industry and I am struggling because I am an introvert and interaction is not one of my strong suit but I am trying my best to make it through but I would love some more coaching to get better
Wow. I'm glad that I've found this video of yours. I'm an introvert and voice account ako.😭 Thank you so much for giving an informative content. I do love your content! Btw, I survived the stage 1 process of training. Starting on Monday, product training na kami and still I wanted to find videos that would help me to survive product training.
Sometimes, I used to pity myself for being an introvert😢, still on training, I am exhausted because of the roller coaster of my emotion, I just walk alone at night when we are having a break to meditate.
Tonight will be my first ever training and hopefully my first job if i pass. Im an introvert and i cry every night because of stress and pressure to do better in this industry. Im also a student thats why its extra hard for me. I want to be better and improve but the stressed and pressure keeps on pilling up. I really wish that i can survive my training😔
Sa mga nag papanggap na introvert dyan mag kaiba po ang mahiyain sa introvert 😅 ayan po sinearch ko kay google. Being shy and being introverted aren't the same thing, although they may look the same. An introvert enjoys time alone and gets emotionally drained after spending a lot of time with others. A shy person doesn't necessarily want to be alone but is afraid to interact with others.
Thanks miss,,, your so right.. I should probably have an exit plan because my reason why I want to work in a call center is to improved my communication skills and because of high salary compared to my previous job.. Thank you miss. God bless ❤️🙏
Your tips are all on point! And yes, this is also coming from an Introvert here. I like talking to customers but in reality I hate phone calls. Is it just me? or is that an introvert thing?
The interviewers keep rejecting me because I can't open my mouth, I can't voice out my answers to their questions and also I have a small voice. When I'm in practice mode I sound good but when it comes that I'm in the situation of interview everything went blank. Gosh I'm crying because of this problem of mine.
I try to apply in call center WTH knowing what I m going to do hehehe that's why frst interview failed na agad,, now that I've seen ur channel . I really love it and understand what to do next thanks a lot,,😍😍😍
Wow really learned a lot by watching your videos specially mock calls..can you do also sample calls like about shipping example like UPS company delivering packages irates customers that waiting for there packages and very frustated because of the delays or sometimes there packages are lost or mis delivered..

Hi Sister, I'm a new subscriber , I really like your content because I am learning my English speaking skills right now since my English is poor ,just in case I loss my current job . I have plan to work as a call center agent homebased or an esl teacher in the future.Actually I practice my speaking skills in Hallo app , coz I can't find any person to talk to in English everyday in my place and I don't have friends also that will speak in English with me. as they say the effective way to enhance your ability of speaking in English is to practice by speaking to people on daily basis . Thank you po and Godbless. Btw I am an introvert.
Hello Melay.. I saw your comment in this video and we have the same problem we don't have a friends who talk English also in our place.. I'm looking for a friends who speak English so that little by little I can able to be comfortable speaking in English. We can be friends if you want in Facebook.😄 I'll be more happy i will be kind to you. 😄😄
Hi! I love your videos really helps a lot. Can you please create a video on how to correctly get the customer address. Thank you so much! newbie here :)
Still going to apply but I already have an exit plan. am an introvert too. first minute and found myself nodding to all you said about introverts. haha.
Hi. Like and love your videos. Been a call center agent for almost 2 years.🙂 Still there are some questions during interview that I can't answer. By the way, please make a mock call for airline reservation accounts. Praying and hoping to get hired.😇
I just applied for a job in a call center not because l want it but because l have to. You see,l am 21 years old so l should be independent even if l am just a college undergraduate. I have to earn enough money. Actually, before l applied for the job l already have the exit plan because l wanna go back to school and fulfill my dream and become the person l really want to be
I am an introvert working in a call center, I don't care much about socializing with my teammates my only struggle as an introvert agent is building rapport with a customer i often get call out by my TL for being too serious during my calls neutral tone of voice and boring.
Actually, I'm not that introvert ☺️ Truth is I'm so excited everytime we have a group activity, I'm also actively reciting during our discussion, but every vacant I prefer to be alone ☺️ like I don't want to socialize something like that, and our trainer noticed it and he asked our class if I'm socializing with them whole class responsed: No!
Hi, my training will start by Monday and it's my first job. I'm excited but mostly I'm nervous. I'll be working with my bf (TL), so the pressure is a lot. I know they're expecting me to do well in my training because my bf is good at his job and he's kinda known at the company. I hope I do well! I really like to watch your videos. Thank you! I hope I'll pass the training 🫶🏻🫶🏻
Hi Evelyn! Thank you! I don't work in the BPO industry anymore. But I used to work in 2 small cc companies in Davao. First is Offsourcing then Conscendo. :) You probably haven't heard of them. :)
