@Azo Zyten yeah I agree with your point I just think that anything he wanted to do he would have the same money so it is cool that he has decided to risk lots of his own money to pursue a passion from when he was 16 instead of continuing to be just an actor or just doing commercials for money.
Hey look at that. A Disney child star that didn't grow into a degenerate human being. It's like finding a unicorn with an honest politician riding on it.
@@ShadowSamurai7777 except for Adam Hicks. Pretty sure he got arrested for 4 counts of armed robbery. Have no idea what he's doing now. And Orlando Brown was going through it for awhile there as well
I actually went to the meadery and bought a bottle of mead from him. Super chill dude, seemed really passionate about making mead and the mead tasted pretty good!
@@spiderfandom7592 Is there a comment he deleted because all I see are him asking genuine questions. Though tbh I might be misunderstanding because I think he's talking about pictures of the mead
Having a supportive parent is huge. Artistic endeavors come and go, but diverse income streams increase quality of life and provide options. Never watched anything he’s made, but I respect the hustle
Until now I was not confident that anyone could nail that look, but here comes this former Disney kid actor making me question if Tuxedos are really "high class"
My parents are beekeepers, and the fact that he's aware of carting bees and how it affects colonies is impressive. Great watch and sick coat that he's wearing
Your parents are awesome people! I know a tiny bit about beekeeping and I dream to someday have a business like Dylan’s supplier has. Do your parents have a website they sell their honey on?
@@stephaniequiroz1564 they just do it to provide for themselves and for their neighbors as a hobby. They only keep one maybe 2 colonies of bees at a time unfortunately 😕
@@bradfoster8146 even if it is just a hobby, what a nice hobby to have! Better than just going off and playing golf or wine tasting. Caring for bees help the environment, local gardeners, and any honey they get is probably gifted to friends and family.
My uncle is a beekeeper himself. He started serious beekeeping like 10 years ago, when he was offered a plot of land from his boss at the coal mine (if areas get groundwater leaks, the land above is usually deemed not safe for building, so usually just gets flooded by rising ground water over a few decades, thus my uncle got a few square km for no cost) and decided to just plant heaps of trees and get bees. Currently he has around 20 or so colonies. Sells mostly to friends. But he did say he will most likely get proper 'bio product' licenses (so he can price the honey accordingly) and start offering either online or to specialized stores soon.
I think he meant that it was uncharacteristic for his dad to not punish him for doing something wrong, not that it was uncharacteristic for his dad to support him in general.
I like that this is what he's been doing while his brother has been acting, both are making their own names for themselves, and being successful at it.
@@timtim6373 No it's not legal, it's actually a federal crime to distribute and sell alcohol especially when you're under the legal drinking age lol. (which btw he admitted to in the vid)
@@madman3891 legal to make as long as he wasnt selling it. Being under aged though... well weren't most of us when we decided to drink? And how many of us partake in a specific illegal herb 🤔
😂 it reminds me of the 70s ... Or what I think the 70s were like... I mean reminds me of Eric Foreman from the 70s show except he's richer, hotter and more famous 😂
i learned a lot watching this. i can see how passionate dylan is - educating the viewers, sharing his backstory, trials and errors etc. hope to taste his product one day!
As a twin with adhd I knew there was a reason I identified with Dylan over Cole. I also agree with him. Working with things that take time like fermentation, plant propagation really help with it.
So glad a child actor turned out good. I loved watching him while I was growing up and in so glad to see him actually happy and successful now. Good on ya bud
I did not know he was a follower of Asatru. Thats badass. I saw his mjolnir over his neck. I'm there with you buddy, may Thor give you strength to keep going, and may Odin give you the wisdom to succeed. Skal!
I was looking for a comment like This! I noticed this a while back and looked into it and I do believe he does follow Thor and Odin. It was from some research I did about a year ago.
Might be a good time to start experimenting on making some of your own :P But yes I agree, I'm also interested to see how his tastes. Especially that Oolong they should briefly!
I came here for Yozora and stay to see what and awesome business man Dylan has grown up to be. Cheers, man. I'm not from USA. But I would love to drink one day that product.
@@lvk104 Only if you are a dumbass will it kill you or explode. If you follow the rule of thumb of throwing out the foreshot and make sure your still isn't a closed system then distilling is very safe to do!
@@10wuebc ya man, stilling is quite safe, it’s illegal and made to seem more dangerous than it really is because it’s a tax revenue stream for most governments

3:50 ok I was wondering what he was talking about till he said that. Cause I’m trying to home brew my self but I have had nothing but support. So yes the community is a lot better now. Any way... I hope one day to own my own meadery
Seen him a couple times at NYU, very down to earth chill dude. I like seeing stars evolve into something completely different from what they’re known for.
@@ooo8421 so he is NOT the one in riverdale then.... that makes sense, when they were younger I could easily tell them apart, but as they grew, they look more and more alike.
Crazy to see how far he’s come, ever since Suite Life. I understand the fact that both him and his brother are doing things on their own and don’t spend most of their time in the entertainment industry. I don’t drink a lot but I’d be honored to buy one of his bottles to cook with it, as a gift to others, and to support him.
Yes, but that was exactly why ppl doubted him. It was a beloved child actor doing an adult thing, so the mead community thought he was just doing it for celebrity exposure, or endorsement just like he said! So happy that he was able to prove them wrong
It's nice to see how he found a passion in something so uncommon and went for it, and also brought his friends with him. He definitely grew up to be a good man.
Ah! This made my day. I grew up with these guys watching the suite life and it’s really cool to see that he’s up to something really interesting and well beyond surface level
He admited to: - Using Fake ID's - Underage Drinking - Selling Homebrew However, everything turned out amazing and became such a successful person in Brewing. I'm actually making Mead myself and OMG as a Zack and Cody fan when I was a kid this is so inspiring.
I love the fermenting process. So much fun. Finished product at the moment is hit or miss but as long as you write it down and learn as you go. Well done Mr. Sprouse.
Cool stuff, I think these twins have dinner a great job of demonstrating what one should aim to do after a career in television or movies. They didn't hold on desperately to the fame they garnered on Sweet Life, but instead they embarked on their on own journey and found things that suited them.
I have ADHD and I've wanted to put all my extra energy into something productive like this. Not this exactly cuz I don't see it being for me, but I've thought for a long time that if I could find a creative outlet for my energy that it'd help me to better cope with having ADHD
To be honest, the world really isn't very aware of even the word 'mead'. Most people I mention it to don't even know what it is. They are aware of tequilas, whiskies, vodkas, beers. Mead doesn't have a strong face in the world of alcohol. I'm making my own homebrewed mead. My next batch will either be blackberry mead or blueberry mead. From there, I want to try spiced mead, apple mead, and a few others. I LOVE this. When I'm putting the ingredients into the carboy, I love it. When I'm racking it, I love it. From start to finish, I absolutely enjoy what I do. It's a craft. I hope one day I can make it a business.
Step one: be a talented child actor Step two: have supportive parents Step three: abandon your fame and job to go to school Step four: follow your passion Could he have started his own business like this without his fame and money? Absolutely, could he do it at this age without that background? Probably not..
