dude! this is why I kinda get so uneasy when I plan to throw away a broken toy or an electronic 😟 I may sound crazy-like but I always feel that these stuff talks to me inside of my head like telling me that we were friends or we have been with each other all these years and goodbye my master and stuff lol! aside from this one old ass CRT TV that I throw in the dumpster myself back in 2004 because it pissed me off so much and was Very Broken beyond repair, I never throw'd a machine or console etc. ever since - the atari 2600 we gave it away for free to a good people that live next to us after we purchased a Famicom way way back and they send it for repairs and fix it. - we sent it for repairs then gave away our Famicom completely with all of its cartridges to a related after we bought a Sega Genesis and the two girls really loved it so much. - we sent it for repairs and gave away the Genesis with a few less violent games to our same related two girls after we bought the ps1. - mistake was made when we bought the ps2, we sent the ps1 for repair but never return to take it in time and so the repair shop sold it away as a refurbished console, though I still have the games with me to this day. - I still have the ps2 in my room along with all around 400 games even though the ps2 have stopped reading discs ages ago. - I bought a Chinese handheld that came with a cartridge contain 9 Sega Genesis games way back in 2007, it's still working but I never touch it ever since don't feel like gave it to someone or selling it, but funny how I still kinda keeps it clean all the time. - still using my ps3 and never plan to sell it or gave it away, half of my money I spent it on them digital games that around 80 games if not counting the PS Plus ones.

in all fairness unless that dude knew how to fix it, he could either have a broken PS4 or 60 bucks :P I used to buy cheap controllers and the cords tended to break, so id just clip the broken part then rewire until the cord was just comically short :P If that dude really wanted he woulda found a way to fix it XD

Jaja for me was too remove the cartridge from a Nintendo_64 blow in it and put it back in.

Not a console but my laptop power plug housing shroud broke. I couldn't plug in my power anymore as it took the plug with it. So I opened it up and super glued it back in place. Good as new.

Lol it's pretty simple when you know what you're doing. All he did was remove a bunch of screws, then remove the HDMI port and solder and new one.

55 without a controler. Add 15 bucks for a controller, thats 70. Plus 5 for the HDMI. 75 bucks for a BROKEN PS4 . Already not looking too hot. Plus any tools you ll need, plus the man hours you ll put into fixing it, plus the risk of failing and all of it going to waste. This only makes sense if you do it in bulk , with A LOT of PS 4 s, and the profit is not great.

Love the quick fixes. I got a "broken" ps4 for $10 at a thrift store 3 years ago. All it needed was the power button to be reseated properly (the metal spring wasnt contacting the capacitive button on the board). Fixed it in like 30 minutes and now it's my daily ps4

They use your console as their house. They can cause the power supply to go out and you'll either get a BLOD, or a unit that won't power up at all. The roaches like the heat from the power supplies.
