I know this is a dumb question to ask, but why did they have their lights on were they going to a call? Either that or the producers wanted it for a better view of the car. P.S., I wonder why the person flying the drone wasn't worried it was going to go straight down into the Hudson!
The camera operator is a highly practiced person who made sure everything was good to go with it before filming. I'm guessing they wanted a better view of the car. They might have filmed those scenes as part of going on a call, but I couldn't tell you for sure having never read a copy of the script.

@@TheAutoCollection Just found they were returning back from a call, as there were no interactions between the 2 at the firehouse, so most likely that was the result.
