Hi Patrrrrrrrick🙋♀️ Very helpful! Question: I have an iPad Pro 12.9 that has a C Port 👍..and I have that adapter. I wanted to buy an AT 2020 USB mic, but I keep reading that they require "phantom power"; not a plug & use...Is that correct? Or can I use an At2020 or 2020x directly into my connector on my iPad? Sweetwater said their specs say phantom power🤔 & he couldn't tell me about changes? Any info for me about that, would be greatly appreciated...thanks Patrick!🤗
If it’s a USB mic you’ll be able to plug it directly into the USB port on the adapter and it’ll work. Condenser microphones that attach via an XLR connection require an audio interface with 48v phantom power.
I have my iPad and Focusright Scarlett 4i4 interface connected with an Apple camera adapter. It cannot provide the 48 V phantom power needed for my condenser microphone. I was wondering if there is a cheap way to fix this problem.
@@TheGaragebandGuide I believe it is the Anker Hub that you are referring. Will my iPad's regular (Big size) charger work with it? It is a 12W adapter.
there's any way to charge the ipad and using this hub with audio interface + midi controller at same time? Or just using the official USB-C Digital AV Multiport from apple?
Can you PLEASE tell me where you bought the port first shown at the :46 mark? I just got home from both Best Buy and the local Apple Store, and neither of them had it. I’m plugging it all into an iPad from the interface, but the interface has no power until I get the correct adapter. If you have the name (camera connection kit) of it, that would be helpful. Losing my mind with this. Thank you.
Would I need an audio interface if my iPad is already connected to my Clavinova CVP Piano that has a built in audio interface along with Mic port plug .
