Yessssss! I have a soft jawline, baby face and big cheeks. Not complaining because I get mistaken for being 10 years younger constantly BUT sometimes I wanna look fierce AF. To match my inside ya know? Lol I always get "You look so nice but you can be such an asshole." I'm not nice, I'm a total smart ass and I need a look that says don't talk to me.

I have been told my entire life.. "You should smile more." "Are you okay?" "Are you angry?" "Are you not having fun?" Etc.. RBF is real, and wearing masks is kinda nice honestly lol, because ppl can't say anything. It's been hard working retail, but it's also helped a lot to be more aware of my body language. Also being in my 30's and knowing who I am has helped a lot as well, and not caring what random people think. 🙌🏻

@@marisolet I can't say anything about your facial expression, but if someone looked very distressed, I don't think it's a bad thing if people asked if all is okay. (ofc not saying things such as you look depressed, smile more etc)

Can confirm this works . My sister used to joke that I looked like the "😐" emoji lol. I've come to the same conclusions you've demonstrated. Used to have crazy arched brows and those are now way softer and lighter. Learned a ton about softening and enlarging my eye shape from Korean techniques. Mastering the smize was the hardest though. Less brow, more eyes and lips when making facial expressions was a hard habit to build haha. Loved the video.

I live in an Asian country where misogyny is amped up, so I do love having my mean neutral face out and about and just stare at people while my mom tells me to smile for random strangers I don’t care for. I’ve got slightly slanted eyes, my pupils don’t fill all the way down my eyes, I’ve got down turned lips, so when I’m neutral I just look like I’m gonna stare somebody down to death. I love it lol.

I spent my entire life having people pre judging me for their own comfortability that I’m bitchy because my face naturally apparently appears that way. A few days ago a grown middle aged man admitted that when he first met me he assumed I’m not humble enough. I loathe unnecessary assumptions. I don’t do anything but live my life so maybe this will help lol

@@christabcook Oh em gee!! Girls say that to me at work....theyll say I look mean or mad or someone will say smile more... I always say NO... I'm very very happy in my life and I'm not walking around with some fake smile. I do like how she did the little upturn with the makeup on the mouth... but I'm happy with my face lol. If someone chooses not to give me the time of day because I dont have a permagrin then eff them.

Lisa Eldridge has a great video about lining your lips to make them less downturned (I have the same issue) but with this concealer trick I think it would look even better! Thank you for this video! The way you are putting on the makeup really shows the way makeup enhances features you want and blurring what you dont want. Like its like you are painting on a canvas instead of following a pre-set guideline (if that makes sense, sorry if i sound like a hooligan 😭) GOD i just love makeup and the art people make with it 🥰🥰

I’m a collegiate cheerleader and I have such deep set eyes so my makeup is always softening and bright. The blush placements makes or breaks the face look. It truly changes the vibe from girl-next-door to baddie down the street 😂

A number of these techniques help folks like me as well. I have a perpetual mopey face. I inherited my mum’s downturned mouth, not just the lines at the corners. I also inherited her hollowed lower eye sockets. To top it off, my lids are a hybrid of my parents’ heavy hoods. Also, I don’t have much real estate from brows to lash line so the heavy hood really is all I have. My brows are also short. I’d say they are about 3/4 the length of yours, and when I enhance them, I lengthen them, not increase the thickness. Your forehead is nearly identical to my mum’s, but I inherited the paternal forehead: strait and short, with heavy lines. They started to become visible before I entered school, so being 53 now, I might be able to plant crops in them. I’ve spent most of my life holding an expression that doesn’t look mopey. Love seeing vids like this. Thanks. *Oh! I feel like I’ve seen that lip color on you before, but I’m having a brainfart on what it is.

This is perfection. Funnily enough, it is EXACTLY my go-to-routine base-wise. I love how soft and youthful the effect is. The only tip I've never tried before is the countour upwards on the lips (I usually just try to minimize it with concealer) so I'm looking forward to giving it a go. I’ve always been told that I look scary or intimidating, some people were scared that I would punch them. I’ve never been on a fight in my life. My face is the same as my father’s, he’s a very serious man and everyone respects and likes him, but because I’m a woman I look intimidating and scary. The hypocrisy. Also my personality is very strong so my presence overall is not for everybody. I usted to be very self conscious of my face and would apologize for just relaxing my muscles and looking like that. Thanks to years of therapy and self improvement I getting better. This tutorial is very subtle and pretty, I would use this. Thank u.

Honestly most of the time RBF is nice because I’m 5ft and look about a decade younger in the wrong lightning (once airport TSA told me minors couldn’t use the self checkout passport machine thing… I was 25). But sometimes I’ll be in the car with my dad and he’ll be like “sweetie why are you mad? Are you worried? Are you sad?” And he won’t believe that it’s just my face because we don’t have a word for RBF in Spanish. Also, your cat shenanigans are top tier.

I just realized why I do my makeup the way I do it. I was qualified of "unapproachable" and my dark eyes look indeed quite harsh. I've modified my makeup through the years and now I use so much of these techniques : it is probably because it "softens" my natural expression.
